What factors should I consider when making decisions for my family business?

Hey everyone! Have you ever found yourself asking, "What should I really focus on when making key decisions for my family business?" If so, you're not alone. Let's dive into this critical topic!

First and foremost, the #1 factor is considering the benefit for the family. You've got to think about the impact of your decisions both in the short term and the long term. Who's really going to reap the rewards? Is it just the immediate family, or will the entire family see the benefits?

Another crucial aspect is your family business's values. Will they stand the test of time as you grow and expand? There's a great read called "The Founders" that highlights the importance of staying true to the original vision. Whether you're the second or third generation at the helm, it's vital to keep the core values of your family's legacy alive.

Don't forget to involve your family in these decisions too. Get the opinions of your relatives and siblings. Remember, steering a family business is like conducting an orchestra—you want everyone to play in harmony and benefit from the synergistic relationship.

So, weigh the pros and cons carefully. And if you're feeling stuck or just want to brainstorm ideas, don't hesitate to reach out. I'm here to help! Shoot me a message, visit my website at gmb.ph, or let's schedule a call to foster and grow your family business together.

Thanks for reading, and let's make your family business thrive!

How can I overcome my fear of stepping out of my comfort zone through franchising?

Hey there, aspiring entrepreneurs! It's Butch Bartolome here with some words of encouragement and advice for those of you looking to expand your horizons through franchising.

Do you want to grow your business? It's a crucial question, and if the answer is yes, it's time to shake off that personality shyness. The most effective way to sell your franchise is through yourself. As an entrepreneur, you need to embody the spirit of your business and become its most passionate advocate. Remember, entrepreneurship isn't for the faint-hearted; it's a calling for the brave, for those ready to show the world the value of their work.

Ask yourself these questions: What are you afraid of? What makes you feel embarrassed? People will always see you as the pioneer and the driving force behind your business. That's why it's so important to pick the right franchisees—those who will join you in a partnership and contribute to the growth of your business.

When you choose well, you build a community of like-minded individuals who support each other and share in the success. I've witnessed many entrepreneurs flourish by finding the perfect franchise partners who are just as dedicated to growing the business as they are.

So, let's nurture your personality and let it shine through your brand. If you're ready to take your brand to the next level and push past your comfort zone, I'm here to help. Visit my website at gmb.ph, give me a call, or book an exploratory call. Together, we can make your brand soar.

Keep pushing forward, and remember, I'm here to guide you every step of the way. Until next time, take care!

Why does it take an entrepreneur so long to decide if franchising the business is the right strategy?

Hey, how are you today? This is Butz Bartolome, and here's one very, very interesting question. Why does it take an entrepreneur so long to decide if franchising the business is the right strategy?

You know, it's very, very common. I've seen a lot of entrepreneurs who really want, who really want and desire, and who really are gung-ho about franchising the business. But I say, stop it, stop it, and and hold on. The excitement is there but think about it.

Number one, are you confident about the business? Is the business really providing pain-point solutions for your customers? Who are your target customers? What is the concept really all about? Is the concept very profitable? How long have you been operating your business?

The next is, how can you support your franchise. If, for example, you have three or four company stores, are you supporting it well? Are you treating those branches well? Have you really identified and identified the core competency of your business?

Haste makes waste. Again, the fear is there because, really, for the franchisor or the entrepreneur, it's like a parent who has really nurtured the business and grown it through, you know, blood, sweat, and tears.

But again, don't let the opportunity pass. I know there are a lot of people who are going to inquire, knocking on your door left and right, neighbors, and customers. Again, think about it. Is franchising for you?

Give me a call. I'm here. Visit my website, gmb.ph. Bye-bye.

  • 317 - What are the Risks In franchising?

What are the risks involved in franchising?

Hi, Butz Bartolome here, and the question is, what are the risks involved in franchising? You know, let's face it, in any business, there's always a risk; there's no guarantee. But when it comes to franchising, understanding the inherent risks is crucial before you dive in.

I always emphasize to my clients the importance of knowing your purpose. Why do you want to franchise? It's fundamental to have a solid reason and a clear vision. If your business is relatively new, say, just a few weeks old, it's premature to consider franchising. You need time to develop a proof-of-concept. This proof is what will form the foundation of your franchising venture.

    So, let's break it down:

Don't rush. Develop your proof of concept first. Profitability: Understand your product's profitability and the potential earnings for franchisees. Support: Providing robust support to your franchisees is critical. Without it, they—and, by extension, your brand—could fail. Research and Development: Stay active in R&D to keep up with trends, innovate, and adapt to changes in the market. Long-term Goals: Have a clear roadmap for where you want to take your franchise.

Franchising is about expanding your business in the right way. To learn more about navigating the risks and setting yourself up for success, reach out for a consultation. If you have any questions or just feel like talking franchising strategies, don't hesitate to contact me, Butch Bartolome, at https://www.gmb.ph.

I look forward to helping you grow your business. Bye-bye!

  • 316 - Can franchising provide stability and security to my 3-year-old business?

Can franchising provide stability and security to my 3-year-old business?

Hello there, I'm Butz Bartolome, and I've been asked whether franchising can offer stability and security to a three-year-old business. Let's dive into this topic and explore the potential benefits.

Franchising is a way to amplify the success of your business. With a proven concept in place, as seen in a business that's been thriving for three years, there's a foundation for potential growth. This includes a solid business concept, profitability, investment details, cost analysis, and a comprehensive operations manual. It's also essential to have a focused target market and a strategy for addressing customer pain points.

Granting the right franchise to the right franchisee is crucial for stability. It's not just about expanding for the sake of it, but about careful selection, process, and location. This can lead to supplier leverage discounts due to increased volume, which in turn benefits franchisees and suppliers alike. Moreover, as your business grows, your brand equity increases, making your three-year-old business more valuable.

If you're interested in franchising and how it can secure the future of your business, don't hesitate to reach out. Visit www.gmb.ph to learn more and schedule an exploratory call. I'm here to help guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have.

Thank you for watching, and stay tuned for more insights. Take care, and bye-bye!
