While marijuana is legal in Maine, police have unearthed a vast number of illegal grow houses tied to Chinese organized criminal networks. According to federal law enforcement, there are roughly about 100 illicit grow operations in Maine. NightSide has been following the story since the beginning of it’s first reporting. A proposal was floated last week by Bay State Transportation Secretary Monica Tibbits-Nutt about adding tolls to the state’s borders as a way to fund transit systems throughout Massachusetts. The idea was met with backlash including backlash from NH Gov. Chris Sununu, who did not take too kindly to the idea saying it was another way to “unnecessarily take your money.” MA Gov. Maura Healey made a statement today saying she is not proposing tolls at any border. Dan discussed the impact boarder tolls would have.
