"My puppy's feet can’t touch the ground until he’s fully vaccinated."  Is this the best advice for a puppy?

The Primary and most important time for puppy socialization is the first three months of life. During this time puppies should be exposed to as many new people, animals, stimuli and environments as can be achieved safely and without causing overstimulation manifested as excessive fear, withdrawal or avoidance behavior. A dog will tell you that he's going to bite long before he bites. He might tell you weeks and months in advance. The best way to prevent that from happening is to know and understand dog body language. I posted a reel on Instagram of a sweet little girl hugging and petting a dog. The dog was uncomfortable and I played the video in slow motion while I explained the five signs that the dog was uncomfortable. This video got over a million views and over 1200 comments. Today, I'm going to take some time and answer the questions that are on that post. 

The other day I got a message, and here's what it said, "our dog bit a visitor. He was acting nervous, so we had the guest feed him. He seemed nervous, but he was able to settle down. Then all of a sudden, a few minutes later, he bit our guest. I feel awful, and I'm wondering if we should leave him in his kennel for all visitors. But doing that doesn't fix his issue of being afraid of people. I heard a dog "behaviorist" say that it is perfectly normal to let an older dog correct a puppy. A correction would look like a growl, an air snap, a lip curl, etc to tell the puppy that he's crossed a boundary. She said that those behaviors are normal, but should you let your older dog correct your puppy? Could that cause aggression or reactivity? “You’re the 3rd dog trainer we’ve hired.” Most people think all dog trainers are the same, but that couldn’t be the furthest thing from the truth. The Dog Training Industry is unregulated. That means education is not required. Your neighbor Billy can call himself a dog trainer tomorrow and claim that he knows how to train your dog. I don't use treats to train dogs and I only use positive reinforcement. That's right. One of the biggest mistakes that dog owners make is focusing on the wrong thing and what this person saw when they made this comment was they thought they saw a bunch of treats, but I wasn't using any treats. I'm going to explain why I don't recommend using treats and what you should use instead.
