- 104 - Episode 103 - Ducktales Christmas Carol
Welcome to the episode.
First up our podcast barman Bob Baker looks at the dichotomy of how is Brits use the word 'chuffed' in Do You Hear What I Hear.
This episode we look at the Ducktales episode Last Christmas from season 2 of the reboot in 2018. It's not really a version of a Christmas Carol but it does feature the 3 ghosts and let me tell you in no uncertain terms it is crap.
Then it's the quiz. I scored 8, let me know how you got on.
Then Bob returns with Spread A Smile Of Joy and this one was suggested to us from our Scandinavian American correspondent Benji Pearson. It's a good one.
After that it's Christmas All Over The World and did you know that Saint Nicholas isn't the only saint who goes around giving gifts at Christmas. In Greece they have Saint Basil. He's no Santa, but it he gets the job done.
This episode's recommendation was suggested last week by Bob Baker and I had a listen and really enjoyed it. It's from Story Corps and they have lots of people sharing uplifting stories of when strangers have done nice things.

Merry Christmas.Sun, 17 Mar 2024 - 103 - Episode 102 - A New York Christmas To Remember
I'm here, you're here, let's get started...
We begin with the joke, which is a first, usually it's in the middle of the show, so don't let it disorientate you, and we follow it up with The Quiz.
Then Bob is here with Do You Hear What I Hear and he's looking at why us Brits say Lift instead of Elevator (aside from the fact it saves us 3 syllables).
Next up is the return of What The Dickens, and I talk about why Scrooge is called Scrooge and Marley is called Marley, and also is it possible for the streets of London to be both frosty and foggy.
Then it's a look at A New York Christmas to Remember. This was a televised Christmas carol church service in which Regis Philbin read out the nativity story accompanied by a load of puppets created by Jim Henson's workshop. They're not muppets, but it's quite spellbinding.
You can watch it here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IRymdxIAWKg&t=2987s
After that, Bob is back with Spread A Smile of Joy, and this time he's recommending you have a listen to The Story Corps Podcast season 8 which shares a load of stories about people doing nice deeds.

Merry ChristmasSun, 03 Dec 2023 - 96 - Episode 95 - Classic British Christmas Songs
It's episode 95 and it's a corker!

Merry Christmas.Sun, 22 Oct 2023 - 93 - Episode 92 - Yule Logs, Dickens and Jack Ask is Back
I recorded this 3 times for some pretty embarassing school-boy errors, and it sounds like I recorded it in a small box. But it's here and let's all be thankful.
First up we have the return of Jack Ask. I solve the Christmas dilemma of whether or not any of the Harry Potter films can be classed as Christmas films.
Next up it's our Christmas Not So Classic. The first ever winner of the UK Pop Idol, Will Young, released a Christmas single in 2019 and though it's a lovely song it did not become a classic.
Check it out, it's a nice song:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iiJn9UT82EE
Then Bob Baker our podcast barman talks about cookies or should that be biscuits?
Next up is What the Dickens, and this episode we talk about Mr Charlie D's side hustle as a magician. I kid you not,
Then it's another version of the Christmas Yule Log. This one is a tie-in to the film Venom: Let there be Carnage. The film was absolute trolley and sadly the yule log ain't much better, but if you want to have a look, here's a link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gO5j6S2UPMs&t=8403s
Then Bob is back with a great way to keep feeling festive all year round. This time it's Christmas music to help you with your training at the gym.
Then it's the quiz. I scored 10 out of 10 because I'm incredibly clever. What will your score be?
This episode's recommendation is The Past and the Curious Podcast. It's a great history podcast. They say it's for kids, but I love it. Have a listen:

You're beautiful, and it's Christmas!Sun, 08 Oct 2023 - 92 - Episode 91 - Boy Meets A Christmas Carol
Hooray! You're here and I've missed you.
We start the episode with a lovely little Christmas memory from listener Jennifer Kay.
Then it's Do You Hear What I Hear and our resident podcast barman Bob explains what us Brits are talking about when we say Mucking About.
Then it's our version of A Christmas Carol and this one is an episode of Boy Meets World called A Very Topanga Christmas. It's okay I suppose.
You can watch a very poor version here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ioTEgEcBPXU
After the Joke we look at Christmas dinner in the Czech Republic and they have some very interesting customs.
Then Bob gives another simple way to keep that Christmas spirit all through the year.
And then we have The Quiz. I scored 9, see if you can do better.
This episode's recommendation is Desert Island Discs, it's a BBC radio programme that has been running for over 60 years. There over a thousand episodes featuring some very famous people.

First up it's Do You Hear What I Hear and our Podcast Barman Bob Baker talks about how us Brits use the word Disco.

Then Bob returns with Christmas Everyday and it's another great idea for how to keep the Christmas spirit all year long.
Next up is the Quiz. Can you beat my score of 8?
This episode's version of A Christmas Carol is the oldest surviving complete version of the tale. For a film that is over 110 years old it's decent enough.

Then Bob Baker our Podcast Barman discusses a rather rude English word that's not quite so rude overseas.
After that we have the quiz. Try to beat my score.
Then we look at the Christmas Not So Classic of Santa Baked Potato. A charity single (and book) from Matt Lucas. It failed to make an impact at Christmas in 2020, but it's harmless.
Check it out here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iTAfNwpUF5Y
Then Bob Baker is back with a suggestion from Ty Virgin about how to use alcohol to feel festive throughout the year.
This episode's recommedation is actually from Bob Baker. It's his new podcast: The Festive Foreign Film Fans. Each episode they discuss a foreign Christmas film, so there will be plenty of new films you've never heard of before.

Merry ChristmasSun, 04 Jun 2023 - 83 - Episode 82 - The Beckham's Nativity
It's a brand spanking new episode of The Total Christmas Podcast.
First up it's the Quiz. Can you beat my abysmal score of 5 out of 10?
Then Bob Baker is here with Do You Hear What I Hear and he'll explain why we call a Pub a Pub, and our stateside friends call a Pub a Bar.
After that we have What The Dickens! and we look at some of the references to other people, be they historical or literary figures. You'll even find out why horse shoes are lucky.
Thanks to a suggestion form Benji Pearson, Bob Baker has another great suggestion for how to keep that Christmas feeling going.
Next up we have a look at the first real life nativity, which was created by St Francis of Assisi .
We also talk about another nativity scene from 2004, when Madame Tussauds thought it would be a good idea to have Posh and Becks as Mary and Joseph. Spoiler alert, it was not a good idea.
This episode's recommendation is a podcast called Under The Influence with Terry O'Reilly. It looks at stories behind marketing and advertising and is very good.
If you want to get in touch, I'd love to hear from you.

Merry ChristmasSun, 21 May 2023 - 82 - Episode 81 - Xena Warrior Christmas
It's episode 81 and it's more Christmas than one person can handle.
First up we have the return of the Yule Log. This one is a bit different because the yule log itself is right on the periphery. It features Terry Crews, actor and former NFL player painting a lovely Christmas picture.
It's worth a look:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrmggCLBYYw
Then Bob Baker is here with Do You Here What I Hear and Bob is very interested in 'snogging',
Then it's this episode's version of A Christmas Carol. This is an episode of Xena Warrior Princess called A Solstice Carol. Xena and her sidekick Gabrielle teach a mean old king the true meaning of Christmas.
Watch it here:
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6m1l5b
Then it's Christmas Everyday and Bob suggests lotto scratch cards are the way to keep feeling festive all year long.
Next up is another story of the Real Life St Nicholas read by the host of Tinsel Tunes and Christmas Morning Podcast, Scott Newman.
Check out the latest episode of Tinsel Tunes:
tinseltunes.com
Then it's the Quiz. See if you can beat my score of 8.
This episode's recommendation is Excuse Me, That's Illegal. It's a true crime podcast that looks at some of the less severe crimes. It's funny and worth a listen.

Merry Happy Christmas!Sun, 07 May 2023 - 81 - Episode 80 - Highway to Heaven Christmas Carol
Merry Christmas you beautiful people.
Welcome to episode 80 of the TCP.
First up Bob Baker is talking about why here in the UK we call a flat a flat.
Then we have a joke followed by the quiz.
This episode's Christmas Not So Classic is Cherry Cherry Christmas by the legend that is Neil Diamond. It's a bit of a gimmick song where he shoe horns as many titles of his classic songs in to the lyrics as he can. The song is catchy, the video is awful.
Check it out:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3bhiOr-aQ-w
Then Bob Baker gives us another lovely idea to keep Christmas with you all through the year.
After that it's another version of A Christmas Carol. This one is an episode of Highway to Heaven from 1984. It's actually rather good so give it a watch:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WeAFpDH1QQg&t=2029s
I don't have a recommendation this week, so if you have any podcasts you think other listeners would like, let me know and send them through.

Merry Christmas!Sun, 23 Apr 2023 - 80 - Episode 79 - Naughty Christmas
Merry Easter you beautiful people.
What better way to celebrate Easter than spending the best part of an hour talking about Christmas.
Friend of the show Geoff Malcolmson has created a short animation of his comic strip Santa & Ruudy. Have a look and share it with everyone you love:
https://www.youtube.com/@SantaandRuudy
We have part 3 of our series about Christmas in the Netherlands. This time we discuss the wonderful tradition of Chocolate Letters. Yum.
Then we have the sad story of my wife's friend's daughter who's favourite role model is Santa Claus. It's a hearbreaker.
Then Bob Baker talks about how us Brits use the term 'birds', in this episodes Do You Hear What I Hear.
Next up is the quiz. Stop whinging at the back.
Then Bob Baker is back and thanks to Christy Easter we have a great suggestion for how to keep the Christmas spirit alive all year long.
The Christmas Not So Classic is Naughty Christmas by Fat Les. Hot on the heels of their massive chart success with Vindaloo, they returned with this awful attempt at a Christmas song that doesn't mention Christmas at all.
It's a bit of fun though, so have a look:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HjCXLZtfZQg
This episode the recommendation is... get some fresh air.
The winter is gone, so why not go outside and fill your lungs with the good stuff.

Merry ChristmasSun, 09 Apr 2023 - 79 - Episode 78 - The Most Accurate Christmas Carol Adaptation?
Merry Christmas.
Welcome to episode 78 of the TCP.
First up we have a delightful Christmas memory from our American Scandinavian correspondent Benji Pearson.
Then it's Christmas Everyday and Bob Baker gives us a very sneaky suggestion of how to keep Christmas alive all year long.
This episode's version of A Christmas Carol is one of the most accurate ones you will ever find. The dialogue isn't quite there, but nearly all the scenes from the book are here. It's an Australian production from Burbank films and if you want to give it a look it's on YouTube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J-o55wueO6U
Then our American correspondent Scott Newman tells us a story from the life and times of the real Saint Nicholas.
Scott is the host of Tinsel Tunes and you can check out the latest episode right here:
https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/tinseltunes
Next up it's Do You Hear What I Hear and this time Bob Baker is explaining what us Brits mean when we say the word Cheeky.
Then it's the quiz. Stop complaining.
This episode's recommendation is Love Letters podcast. I've been enjoying it and you might too so give it a listen:

You know I love ya, Merry Christmas.Sun, 26 Mar 2023 - 78 - Episode 77 - Mariah Carey's Christmas Crisp Advert
Welcome to episode 77.
We have some exciting news!
Barry Grapefruit is organising a Total Christmas Podcast Convention, details are in the show.
Then we have a Christmas Not So Classic. This time we're looking at another song by The Killers and it's called Boots. It's a great song, but not that festive.
Have a listen:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UymN_kjYeFk
Next it's Bob Baker who looks at what us Brits mean when we call someone a muppet.
Then it's the quiz and you know you love it.
Did you know Mariah Carey was in an advert for Walkers Crisps? Well she was, and you won't believe how much they paid her.
Then it'c Christmas Everyday and thanks to the lovely Shelli Arnold, Bob Baker has another idea about how to keep feeling festive all year long.
Last episode in Christmas All Over The World we looked at Sinterklass, now we're looking at his politically incorrect side kick Zwarte Piet or Black Peter. It's controversial stuff.
This episode's recommendation is Office Ladies, hosted by Jenna Fischer and Angela Kinsey (Pam and Angela). Each episode they look at an episode of The Officer and it's just a great listen.

Merry Christmas!Sun, 12 Mar 2023 - 77 - Episode 76 - Santa Origins: Sinterklaas
Hooray for Christmas.
We start off with the Christmas Quiz and we have an extra question so I can shoehorn in a great joke.
Then our Self-Appointed Podcast Barman Bob Baker discusses the word Trolley.
This episode's version of A Christmas Carol is 'A Christmas Carol: Scrooge's Ghostly Tale' a naff computer animated version from 2006.
They stay reasonably close to the story and if you want to put yourself through it, here's a link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eqSGpnpoc9o&t=2381s
Then Bob returns with Christmas Everyday and gives us another suggestion on how to keep Christmas all year long.
Then we look at Sinterklaas. He's the Dutch version of Santa Claus. You won't see any reindeer, but you will see a white horse.
Our recommendation is All Your Christmases a podcast hosted by Calum Crosthwaite. Each episode he interviews a guest about their Christmas memories, covering many years and many countries it's well worth a listen.

First up we have a story from our listener Travis who shares the tale of how he found out the truth about Santa Claus.
Next up Bob Baker discusses how us Brits use the word 'Bloody'.
Then it's the new slimmed down quiz. Ten questions, ten answers and then we can all get on with our lives.
Next up it's the return of The Christmas Not So Classic Song. This one is an overlooked offering from The Killers, A Great Big Sled. It's criminal this isn't a classic cause it's a blinder.
Have a listen:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w-nse84xIpE
Then it's a hilarious Joke.
Next up Bob Baker is back with Christmas Everyday with another way to keep the Christmas spirit with you all year.
Then it's What The Dickens and we have a look at Belle and Fred's wife, and discuss a couple of things you may not have noticed before.
This episode's recommendation is my favourite TV show, Curb Your Enthusiasm. The wife and I are watching series 11 at the time of recording and we love it.

Check it out here:
https://www.amazon.com/Christmas-Clue-Nat-Bickel/dp/1639841504
Then it's one of the laziest versions of A Christmas Carol I've ever covered. It could've been so good, but instead was naff.
It's A Sesame Street Christmas Carol, don't watch it:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcQPoeQrdmM
Then it's the quiz and we have Adam Kennedy on to try his luck and he does okay.
Adam has a very funny Christmas album that you need to listen to:

Merry ChristmasSun, 25 Sep 2022 - 65 - Episode 64 - The Real Saint Nicholas
It's another packed show and there's no time to waste.
First up we give our Scandinavian-American correspondent some tips on how to make an authentic Jacob Marley Christmas costume.
Then it's this episode's version of a Christmas Carol. It's called Huh Huh Humbug and it was part of the Beavis and Butthead Do Christmas episode.
If you want to watch it it's on YouTube, but it's lots of parts you have to watch in a row, here's a link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wD2W-rTFVaI&list=PLnI-i18HPjt3cYrzuRuTyEWDNilWqxawG
Then we have another brand new segment from our podcast barman, Bob Baker. We're calling it Wonderful Christmastime and each episode we'll be looking at different Christmas activities you can get involved in to make Christmas that bit more special.
Next up we take a look at the history of the real Saint Nicholas, there's not a lot of historical records and some that we have are a bit dubious, but it's interesting stuff and we'll also look at one of the legends associated with him.
Then Bob Baker is back with Do You Hear What I Hear, and this time Bob hears the word 'Dodgy'.
Then its's the quiz and you know you love it.
This episode's recommendation is You Must Remember This, a podcast that looks at the forgotten stories from the early days of Hollywood. I've been a listener for years and I love the show.

Merry ChristmasSun, 11 Sep 2022 - 64 - Episode 63 - How Poor Was Bob Cratchit?
It's episode 63 of the TCP and it's great to have you hear.
First up we have a Yule Log, and what better way than to celebrate the birth of Jesus than watching him drink wine next to a lovely wood fire with his faithful dog by his side.
If you want to watch it, here's a link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SCjjqdol4f4
Then we look at how much Bob Cratchit earned and if he was really that poor.
In this episode's Do You Hear What I Hear our self-appointed podcast bartender Bob Baker explains the meaning of the word Crisps.
Then we have a new segment, Wreck The Halls. This was suggested by Bob, and it's your chance to share stories of when things didn't go according to plan at Christmas. Bob shares the story of his first Christmas as a married man and how their glorious tree became, well, not so glorious.
Then it's the quiz. 10 questions, 5 songs and a whole load of fun.
This episode's recommendation is The Total Christmas Podcast. Not as entertainment, but as a sleep aid. Try it, you'll sleep like a baby (you'll wake up in the middle of the night crying because you peed yourself).

Merry ChristmasSun, 28 Aug 2022 - 63 - Episode 62 - Carry on Christmas
It's Episode 62 of The TCP and this episode is more Christmassy than a jolly old elf eating a christmas pudding made of holly.
We start off with the abysmal Carry on Christmas. Filled with smut and innuendo and very little of the actual story this was the first of 4 Christmas specials from the Carry on Films team.
If you really want to watch it here's a link:
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x8arozj
Then it's time for Do You Hear What I Hear with Bob Baker. This episode he's looking at the word 'Nick'.
Then it's the quiz and we all how much you're enjoying that.
This episode we look at the tradition of The Hunting of the Wren where, on the Isle of Man, and in parts of Wales and Ireland, people would go out at Christmas, catch a wren and then parade it round the village begging for money.
I'm pleased to say the tradition is still going to this day, but they no longer hunt a real bird.
This episode's recommendation is The Allusionist Podcast with Helen Zaltzman, a podcast that talks about language. It's a great listen and I know you'll enjoy it.

Merry ChristmasSun, 14 Aug 2022 - 62 - Episode 61 - God Bless Us Every One
I recorded this the week after the previous podcast, so I was in a bit of a rush but I've done my best.
We start with Do You Hear What I Hear and our self-appointed podcast barman, Bob Baker, explains to us the word 'bum'. Is it your bottom, is it a hobo or is it both?
Next up we have our second Story of Shame from the wonderful Jennifer Kay she shares the story of waking her mum up (who'd been working all night in the ICU) to the sound of her and her sister's glorious singing.
Then we have the triumphant return of Robin Sings. Robin and Juno give us their rendition of the 12 Days of Christmas. Don't worry, it's only the last verse. If you want to check out their podcast, here's a link:
anchor.fm/notcomplaining
Then it's the quiz, test your Christmas general knowledge and listen to me hum some tunes.
Mike Westfall of the Advent Calendar House Podcast was kind enough to let me use this clip of his show, where his guest Justin O'Connor shares how he found out the truth about Santa Claus.
Check out the Advent Calendar House Podcast here:
https://adventcalendar.house/
Then we have a short What The Dickens where I discuss what was, at the time, a controversial line in the book.
If you want to get in touch I'm not stopping you.

Merry ChristmasSun, 31 Jul 2022 - 61 - Episode 60 - Christmas in July
Merry Christmas in July you beautiful people.
This episode starts with our weekly quiz. Do you know what colour mistletoe berries are? If you do, you'll get at least one question right. If you don't.... what? of course you know what colour they are.
Then we have a Story of Shame sent in by the mom of our podcast mascot Elmer, Jennifer Kay.
This week the Do You Hear What I Hear from our podcast barman, Bob Baker, is all about Nappies.
Then I talk about Christmas in July, the history of where it (possibly) originated and how it evolved.
Then I look at 8 different songs that all share the same title: Christmas in July.
Here they are if you want to listen to the whole song:

Merry ChristmasSun, 17 Jul 2022 - 60 - Episode 59 - A New Christmas Quiz
I've been ill so don't give me a hard time if this episode isn't up to the usual standard.
We start with a Christmas Not So Classic this time it's 21st Century Christmas an attempt by Cliff Richard to get a Number one single in his 6th consecutive decade. It's not that bad... or that good.
Our Self-appointed podcast barman Bob Baker explains the difference between Pissed and Pissed depending on which side of the Atlantic you're on.
Then we have a new segment. I bought a Christmas quiz game at my local car boot sale and you all get to have a go at the questions.
Then Mike Westfall from The Advent Calendar House podcast tells us all about how he found out about Santa Claus.
This episode's What The Dickens looks at 4 different words or phrases that are used in the description of Scrooge.
Have yourself a merry little Christmas.Sun, 03 Jul 2022 - 59 - Episode 58 - Feast of the Ass
Here we are, together again. It's great to see you.
First up we have The Worst Christmas Present Ever sent in by the self-appointed podcast barman Bob Baker. Sometimes gifts can really hurt your feelings.
Travis Gronsdahl has sent us in his favourite yule log, and it's naff. But they're all naff so what do you expect. This one is the official DC Comics one from 2021 and if you've got 10 hours to spare you can watch it here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ayb2MxAitUA
Then we discuss The Feast of the Ass, an idea sent in by our anonymous technology correspondent. It's an ancient custom from France which has long been forgotten, but celebrates the part donkeys play in the Christmas story.
This episode's version of A Christmas Carol is called Ebenezer, a western version of the story starring Jack Palance. It makes a lot of changes from the original, but it's worth a look.
You can watch the whole thing on Youtube:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UYOyZgzgfcc
Then Bob Baker shares his Do You Hear What I Hear and he explains the difference between the UK version of Christmas Jumpers and the US version.
This episode's recommendation is the discworld series of books by Terry Pratchett. They're great and there are 41 books in the series so that should keep you busy.

Merry ChristmasSun, 19 Jun 2022 - 58 - Episode 57 -Christmas in Sweden
I'm here, you're here, let's talk about Christmas.
First up it's a story of shame, this one was sent in by Travis Gronsdahl and it's a story of a Secret Santa and a bunch of very rude colleagues.
Then Frank the Tank has sent us a Curious Christmas Custom. This one is quite heartbreaking for all the wrong reasons.
Then Wayne Clarke from the Christmas Alphabet podcast has sent in a What The Dickens!
Admittedly it's one we've already covered, but he does such a good job of explaining it, we can't hold that against him.
Bob Baker has sent in another Do You Hear What I Hear and this time he explains and translates the word Pudding.
Then I have an interview with a dear friend of mine, it's Petter from Sweden. He tells all about celebrating Yule in his home country.
This episode's recommendation is Life and Beth, it's on Disney+ and is written, directed by and stars Amy Schumer. It's very funny, so give it a look.
If you want to get in touch, what's stopping you?

Merry Christmas!Sun, 05 Jun 2022 - 57 - Episode 56 - Gumby's got a Scrooge Loose
Here it is, the answer to all your prayers.
After the success of last episode's brand new advice column, Jack-Ask, 2 people have contacted the show asking for solutions to their problems. Once again your heroic host has stepped into the breach to save Christmas.
Then it's a brand new segment 'Do You Hear What I Hear'. Bob Baker, the show's self appointed bar tender, translates the English meaning of a Christmas word into the American English meaning.
Then Kevin Church has sent in the story of his Dad's worst Christmas present. It's not the worst present, but the way the gift is delivered certainly ruins the surprise.
Then Bob Baker is back again and I read out his Story of Shame. He tells us about his Christmas tradition of Punking the Andersons.
Ever wondered why Scrooge says that anyone going around with Merry Christmas on his lips should be boiled with his own pudding? Is that really how you cook a Christmas pudding? Find out in this episode's What The Dickens.
This episode's version of A Christmas Carol is not really a version of A Christmas Carol. It's an episode of Gumby in which Scrooge escapes from his book to wreak havoc. If you want to watch it, here's a link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9V1ZY6UV6No
I also talk briefly about another Christmas episode of Gumby, called Santa Witch, you can watch that one as well if you like:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pIuoZ8LKqds
Then, he's back again, Bob Baker tells us the sad tale of how he found out the truth about Santa.

Merry Christmas you beautiful people.Sun, 22 May 2022 - 56 - Episode 55 - Jack-Ask Christmas Advice
Welcome to the show you beautiful people.
This episode starts with a brand new segment called Jack-Ask (which is a terrible name and needs to be changed). For some reason a listener thinks your host, Jack, is the person to ask for advice on a Christmas dilemma. What do you do when a guest brings very little food to the table, but takes loads of leftovers when they leave?
Then it's the triumphant return of Robin Sings (which should really be called Robin and Juno Sing). We had a request from Bob Baker for the girls to sing Where Are You Christmas, so that's what they did.
We also had a request from Bob Baker to take a look at the British TV show Old Jack's Boat which has a lovely Christmas episode. It's called The Christmas Quest and it's a real tearjerker. I couldn't find the episode to watch, but you can listen to the story here:
https://www.bbc.co.uk/cbeebies/radio/old-jacks-boat-christmas-quest
This episode we have another Yule Log. This one features Lil Bub an internet famous cat who's very cute and sits in front of a fire.
If you want to watch it, who am I to stop you. Here's a link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZuHZSbPJhaY
Then we have everyone's favourite segment What The Dickens. This episode we talk about why the chapters of a Christmas Carol are called staves, why Scrooge wants to retire to Bedlam and why every idiot who goes around with Merry Christmas on his lips should be buried with a stake of holly through his heart.
This week's recommendation is anything by the author Bill Bryson. His books are funny and interesting and they kept me company on my short tour around Wales.

Merry ChristmasSun, 08 May 2022 - 55 - Episode 54 - The First Talkie Christmas Carol
Hello.
It's me.
It's another "great" episode. We've had a lovely letter from our new Podcast Bartender Bob Baker, who shares his love of Christmas with us.
Then it's the return of Wayne Clarke, the host of The Christmas Alphabet Podcast and he shares with us the story of how he found out the truth about Santa.
To have a listen to his podcast, here's a link:
http://christmasalphabet.com/
Then we have a hilarious joke.
You'll probably be laughing so hard you pass out and miss the rest of the podcast, but if you don't next up we have 'My Worst Christmas Present Ever'. It's been a while since anyone has sent one in, so I scoured the internet and found a few that I thought you might like to hear about.
Then it's this episode's version of A Christmas Carol. This one is the first full length one with sound. It starred Seymour Hicks and has a lot of good points... and some really really bad points.
If you want to watch it, here's a link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XFfv-diVAv8

Merry ChristmasSun, 24 Apr 2022 - 54 - Episode 53 - The Night of the Radishes
Hello you beautiful person.
It's a jam packed episode with all sorts of crap.
Want to watch a boring yule log that's out of focus because BB8 is in front of it beeping occasionally?
Well here's a link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lb0eTSE22pM&list=PLPiftmz8-_6AMwI6o-VXb_bm3KbM3nHfg&index=1&t=245s
Then it's What The Dickens, and in my humble opinion this one is a gem. We learn about how Scrooge could tell the time in the dark.
Then we have a movie quiz all about Santa's wife, or Mrs Claus as she prefers to be known. I give you the actress and the year and play a short audio clip from a film and you tell me what film it is.
Then in Christmas All Over The World we take a look at the Night of the Radishes. A Christmas festival in Oaxaca Mexico where the locals carve giant radishes into some incredible displays.
Learn a bit more here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sUlAPHXzaH4
This episode's recommendation is Jim Henson's The Tale of the Bunnies Picnic. It's ideal to watch at Easter and features a bunch of very cute bunnies.
Watch it here:

Then we have the return of The Christmas Not So Classic. This time we look at It's Christmas All Over the World by Sheena Easton.
If you don't know the tune you can check it out here:

Then Benji Pearson out Scandinavian-American correspondent gives us a book review. It's part of the American Girl Dolls collection and is about a Swedish immigrant to the US called Kirsten who's celebrating Christmas as a pioneer of the old west. You can read a short version of the story here:

This episode's version of A Christmas Carol is A Christmas Carol 2: The sequel. It was an episode of The George Burns Comedy Week and sees Scrooge a year after his transformation.
It's not that bad and if you want to watch it, here's a link:

totalchristmas@gmail.comSun, 27 Mar 2022 - 52 - Episode 51 - WALK-ER!
Has it really been 2 weeks already?
Well here we are again with another 'wonderful' episode of The TCP.
First up your host reads an old Christmas story from Scotland about a shepherd boy who has lost a sheep on Christmas Eve.
Then we have a very short segment where I ask why Frank the Tank hasn't sent me anything in a while.
Then we have a lovely interview with Wayne Clarke, the host of The Christmas Alphabet Podcast. He's been a baptist minister for over 30 years and he shares some of his Christmas memories over the years.
Check out his podcast here:
http://christmasalphabet.com/
This week's What The Dickens? we look at the little boy down in the street and why he would shout the word 'WALKER'. Sadly there's no definitive answer, so you can make your own mind up.

Merry ChristmasSun, 13 Mar 2022 - 51 - Episode 50 - Driving Round All Christmas
It's episode 50 of The Total Christmas Podcast, that's half a century, wow.
The Yule Log for this episode is from the TV show This Is Us. Watch the family house burning for a solid hour. It's not great.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GmnW81C_tVg&t=1s
In this episode we have another deep look at some of the obscure phrases in A Christmas Carol. Why was Marley "as dead as doornail"? You'll soon find out.
Then I share the story of how a friend of mine decided that instead of going round his girlfriend's house for Christmas, he'd rather drive around the forest.
Then we look at Brer Rabbit's Christmas Carol, an interesting take on the classic story that is generally pretty naff. Watch it here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PcrPdxVpC0M&t=2309s
This episode's recommendation is Meet David Sedaris a BBC Radio 4 show where author David Sedaris reads out some of his short stories. It's a great listen so check it out:

Merry ChristmasSun, 27 Feb 2022 - 50 - Episode 1 - A Winter's Tale
In the first episode of the Total Christmas Podcast we introduce some of the segments we'll be featuring each episode.
We discuss the classic Christmas love song A Winter's Tale by David Essex, the Christmas sport of Genna played in Ethiopia, Mr Magoo's Christmas Carol and much more.
There's also a disclaimer at the start apologising for the quality of this first attempt at a podcast.
You'd think it would be easy recording something like this but we like to think we've proved otherwise.
Merry ChristmasMon, 06 Apr 2020 - 49 - Episode 49 - What The Dickens?
Great to see you, thanks for tuning in.
First up we have a follow on from last episode's segment about the German smoker ornaments. This time we look at the Moosmann from Vogtland and we also have a couple of stories about them.
Then we have a great Story of Shame from L C Newman who tells the tale of how they nearly blew the whole Santa secret by staying up all night drinking and playing with a slot car track.
Then we play one more song from Adam Kennedy and his Creative Commonaires, This one is called Those High Notes and if you want to listen here's a link:
https://adamkennedy.bandcamp.com/releases
Adam was on a recent episode of Jingle Jank and he talks about the creative process behind the album. Check out the episode here:
https://jinglejank.com/episodes.html
Then we have a brand new segment where we have a close look at some of phrases and aspects of A Christmas Carol that may not make sense. I think you'll find it interesting, but then what do I know.
This episode's recommendation is Christmas Alphabet Podcast with Wayne Clarke. Each episode he takes a new letter and studies all the Christmas related stuff beginning with that letter. At the time of recording, he's up to letter F.

It's Christmas you beautiful people.
Let's celebrate by listening to some imbecile shouting into a microphone.
First up Julie Sibilla shares the worst Christmas present that her nan gave to her mum and brother.
This episode's Yule Log is the Arendelle Castle Yule Log from Frozen, and it's on Disney plus. If you haven't got Disney plus, don't worry, it's a pretty naff yule log.
Then Ed Daley, author of The Christmas Book, tells us a bit of the background to the David Bowie and Bing Crosby classic, the Little Drummer Boy.
To find our more about other Christmas Classic Songs, check out his book:
https://www.amazon.com/Christmas-Book-Ultimate-Favorite-Holiday/dp/B09HS14DFM

We have another fantastic song from Adam Kennedy and his Creative Commonaires, this one is called Bumbles Don't Bounce, and if you're a fan of the Rankin Bass Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer, I think you'll get a kick out of this one.
https://adamkennedy.bandcamp.com
This episode's version of a Christmas Carol is from 1949 and has Vincent Price narrating it. It's pretty low budget and I have very little good to say about it.
Here's a link:

Then it's Robin Sings and the girls sing Jingle Bells. They've sung it before, but they're older now and more refined.
Then Kevin Church shares a Christmas memory of going to listen to his family play in a brass band each Christmas.
This episode's recommendation is Darley Dance Christmas Show. They've recorded an online version of their Christmas spectacular with songs, dancing and comedy all with a real festive feel. It's a great way to help the arts and enjoy a Christmas show.

It's a great book, check it out here:
https://www.amazon.com/Family-Trees-Aurelio-OBrien/dp/1935927310
This episode's version of A Christmas Carol is called Karroll's Christmas. It's a modern day take on the classic and it could be worse... it could also be so much better.
If you want to watch it, here's a link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7MVra6ZTIe4&t=3517s
Then Kevin Church shares the story of his worst Christmas present ever.

This episode's recommendation is for you to share the podcast. It's actually Christmas now, so you won't seem like a weirdo when you tell your friends to listen to the show and it would mean a lot to me and the team (there is no team).
See, I told you it was a packed show.

COME AND LISTEN TO MY PODCAST.
DO IT NOW!
It's another episode of the TCP and we have loads of crap for your lovely ears.
First off it's our Top Ten Christmas Movies Lists. We've had a team of scientists develop a formula to calculate the best list in Jack's opinion. This episode we have lists from Anthony Caruso and Mike Westfall. Where will their lists chart?
Then it's time for the Yule Log. If you love Nick Offerman from Parks and Recreation then you might not mind this version. It's Nick sitting by a fire drinking whisky for 45 minutes straight.
We have the return of Santa Claus is NOT Coming to Town and this one was sent in by Paul Hudebine. He can pinpoint to the exact day he found out the truth about Santa. Not only that, it's also the day his mum told him wrestling is fake.
Frank the Tank has sent us another Curious Christmas Custom, this time it's Bonfires on the Levee. Hundreds of bonfires are lit along the Mississippi on Christmas Eve to guide the way for Papa Noel.
We have another great song from Rich Chambers; It's Christmastime (All Over The World). He also shares a great story of the time he actually saw Rudolph and the other reindeer flying over his house.
Have a listen:
https://richchambers.com/santa-s-rockin-band
Then it's another Muppet Christmas Special. This time we look at The Bells of Fraggle Rock and it's absolutely delightful. Have a watch here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhSP6t0tRos&t=803s

Merry ChristmasSun, 10 Oct 2021 - 39 - Episode 39 - Santa's Rockin Band

This show is loaded up to the eyeballs with the usual drivel.

Then we have the return of Robin Sings. This episode she sings another request from Eddie Honan's mum Nancy. She asked to hear Dominic The Donkey.
Then it's our Top Ten Christmas Movies lists and this week the lists are provided by the show's No. 1 Fan Lee Maher and Crick Jimney.
Next up it's 3 crappy yule logs. This episode they're from Lego. If you really want to watch them, here's some links:
https://www.lego.com/en-gb/kids/videos/life/legolife-video-dec20-celebrate-with-a-lego-yule-log-6f40717445d91ac7fdf4b4e75d95b920
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-FZKMGFN2DQ
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=spPXaCjHFIc&t=102s

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=29jrKSzkPpA&t=44s
Then we have the return of my favourite segment, Christmas Stories of Shame. We share the sad affair of the year Adam Parker received a bunch of gifts he'd received the year before.
Adam hosts the Merry Bristmas Podcast and it's great, check it out:
https://merrybritsmas.podbean.com/
This episodes recommendation is Santa & Ruudy, a great online comic strip featuring the big man himself and his ruby nosed reindeer. It's written and drawn by Geoff Malcomson and is definitely worth following.

Merry Christmas you beautiful people.Sun, 26 Sep 2021 - 38 - Episode 38 - Scrooge The Musical

It's very good so have a watch, here's a link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=y7Pk1jcaLDI&t=5086s
We have another blinding segment from our Curious Christmas Traditions Correspondent, Frank the Tank. It's a Christmas tree made of tumble weeds. Yes, tumble weeds.
This episode's TV Yule Log isn't a yule log, or even a fire, it's the Krispy Kreme Happy Holliglazer, a conveyor belt of ring donuts being glazed.
Want to watch it?
Why, it's boring.
Well, if you must, here's a link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVumShNycTk
See you in two weeks.
Merry ChristmasSun, 12 Sep 2021 - 37 - Episode 37 - The Christmas Movie Quiz Reboot
Hooray, it's another episode of this stuff.
First up we look at 2 of our listeners' Top Ten Christmas Movie Lists. First up is Benji Pearson and then it's Scott Newman, where will they appear on the chart?
Then we look at one of the worst versions of A Christmas Carol that has ever been conceived.
It is abysmal and a travesty and a blight on humanity.
Want to watch it?
Why? I've just told you how bad it is.
Well here's a link then:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzpKepAqjgk
Then it's our highly anticipated Christmas Movie Quiz, this time around we focus on remakes, sequels and reboots.
Robert Nicholas from the Behind The Bells Podcast gives us his answers. If you can beat his score I will be most impressed.
Check out Robert's podcast here:
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/behind-the-bells-podcast/id1543653907

Enjoy the show.
Merry ChristmasSun, 29 Aug 2021 - 36 - Episode 36 - Those Christmas Lights
This episode was hastily scrambled together to get to you on time because I'm on holiday at the moment.
We start with a book review of Mr Willowby's Christmas Tree by Robert Barry.
Here's a link:
Then we look at the Muppet special of Mr Willowby's Christmas Tree, starring Robert Downey Jr, Leslie Nielsen and Stockard Channing. It's not great, but you can watch it here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2gvT4x2IkDU&t=1074s
Then I have an interview with Gerry Davila, the host of Totally Rad Christmas Podcast who also works in a Christmas store.

https://decoratorswarehouse.com/
And here's a link to Gerry's Podcast:
https://totallyradchristmas.buzzsprout.com/
Then it's the second instalment of our most boring segment ever, the Christmas Yule Log.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uHoOkDUrQw8
Merry Christmas!Sun, 15 Aug 2021 - 35 - Episode 35 - The First TV Yule Log
Woo hoo! Here we are for another wonderful episode.
We have the harrowing tale of how Lee Maher, the shows number 1 fan, found out the truth about Santa, plus also how his brother found out.
Then we have an interview with Robert Nicholas from Behind The Bells Podast who lists his 10 favourite films of all time, and then I judge the list.
If you're not listening to Behind The Bells check it out:
https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/behind-the-bells-podcast/id1543653907
Then we have the first of our brand new segments, Obscure Traditions with Frank the Tank.
Our new correspondent, Frank the Tank, sends me ideas for topics to discus. This episode we're talking about the first ever TV Yule Log.
Then it's our second new segment, Yule Logs. In an attempt to revive everyone's favourite jingle I have my weakest segment yet where I review one of the dozens of TV Yule Logs. This episode I review the first ever one from WPIX-TV.
If you're fed up of watching paint dry then check it out:

Merry ChristmasSun, 01 Aug 2021 - 34 - Episode 34 - Little Drummer Boy
Hello you beautiful person!
It's another fun filled episode of the TCP.
We start with a very crappy version of A Christmas Carol. This was part of the 'Tales from Dickens' TV series and stars Basil Rathbone as an actor who's career has fallen so far that he's reduced to wearing a traffic cone on his head to play Ebenezer Scrooge.
I don't recommend watching it, but if you really must, here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6LdUtugLbK4&t=3s
We have another Joke from Benji Pearson.
Then it's the return of Santa Claus is NOT Coming to Town. I had to scour the internet for stories and managed to find a half decent one. When will parents learn that when it comes to Santa, you can lie your way out of anything.
Next up we look at a lovely cover version of the Bowie and Crosby classic Little Drummer Boy / Peace on Earth. This one was recorded for Children in Need and sees two stalwarts of British broadcasting, Aled Jones and Terry Wogan.
If you want to have a look and a listen here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8AWdrUUMsYU
Whilst researching the little drummer boy I found out about The Little Drummer Boy challenge, and also Whamageddon. Both are games where you try to avoid hearing the song during the festive season.
This episodes recommendation is Ooh Spooky, one of the funniest podcasts I've had the pleasure of listening to.
Definitely check this one out, they don't have a website, so here's the facebook page:

Merry ChristmasSun, 18 Jul 2021 - 33 - Episode 33 - Ebenezer Sanford & Son
Well blow me down if it isn't a brand spanking new episode of The TCP.
Well, it is if you're listening to it when it's just come up out, if not then it's an old episode. I don't know when you're listening, but I hope you enjoy this rubbish.
Thanks to Benji Pearson we find out that the story of Babushka from the last episode is actually just a rip off of the story of La Befana, the old lady who delivers presents to all the good children of Italy. Here's a clip of Orson Welles telling the legend:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=psCIiPAFMqs
Next up we look at the Christmas Not So Classic Have A Cheeky Christmas by the Cheeky Girls. It's not awful, but it's not good either.
Actually, it is awful, plus they traumatise a reindeer in the video (I'm not kidding watch the video):
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bzhdeMahaTM
This episode's Joke is once again provided by Benji Pearson? Was I misguided in giving him a chance to return. Only you can decide...
Then it's Ebenezer Sanford an episode of the 70s sitcom Sanford & Son.
It's okay. If you want to watch it, here's a link:
https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x6chy3q
This week's recommendation is Behind The Bells. It's a podcast hosted by Robert Nicholas that looks at the making of classic Christmas movies. From inception to script, casting and production. Have a listen, you might learn something:
https://podbay.fm/p/behind-the-bells-podcast
I also appeared on an episode of Jingle Jank where Scott and Jay battle it out to find out who sang it better. I got to judge the competition and my ruling was just and fair:

Merry Christmas.Sun, 04 Jul 2021 - 32 - Episode 32 - Babushka and the 3 Kings
Hooray! It's me, The Total Christmas Podcast and I'm here to spread some joy and a load of old drivel. Hooray!
First up it's our Christmas Not So Classic and we look at All I Need Is Love, the CeeLo Green and The Muppets Christmas song from 2012. It has a fantastic video (and needs it cause the song ain't so special).
Check it out here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zEgcLrgxUOw&t=193s
Then we discuss the tale of Babushka and the 3 Kings. It's about an old lady who spends all her time cooking and cleaning her house then one day she gets a visit from the 3 kings and they stay at her house and tell her about the baby they're going to visit and... hang on, maybe you should just listen to the episode. The story is read out in full by The Right Honorable Jacklington Fordhampton the 3rd.
This episode's version of A Christmas Carol is naff.
Here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HqMfGq3okZY&t=17s
The recommendation this week is Kath and Kim. It's a great sitcom from Australia and is very funny. If you're in Australia you've probably seen it, but if not, it's on Netflix.

Merry ChristmasSun, 20 Jun 2021 - 31 - Episode 31 - Christmas Goblins
Just when you thought the podcast was improving I go and break my microphone, so girls and boys we're back to poor quality sound.
Add that to the poor content and it's a killer combination that everyone is talking about.
Anyway, it's an episode so at least there's that.
First up we have Robin Sings and the songstress has been busy in the playground at school creating a new version of Jingle Bells Batman Smells. Should a 5 year old really be sprouting this filth? The answer is NO!
I blame the parents.
Then we take a trip to Greece and look at the legend of the Kalikanzaroi, little goblin type creatures that create havoc during the twelve days of Christmas.
Then we have a 3rd joke from Benji Pearson our American Scandinavian correspondent. Will this episode's joke match the high quality of the previous two?
Not likely.
Then thanks to our listener Julie we take a look at A Diva's Christmas Carol. This modern take on the classic exchanges Ebeneezer for Ebony Scrooge and it stars Vanessa William.
If you want to have a watch, here's a link: https://vimeo.com/248098181
If you want to get in touch, do it, do it now!

Merry ChristmasSun, 06 Jun 2021 - 30 - Episode 30 - Who Ya Gonna Call?
Hello you beautiful person. It's here, Episode 30, was it worth the 2 weeks wait?
Probably not.
We start by discussing At This Time of Year by Big Brother UK winner Craig Philips. As songs go, let's just say it's as good as you'd expect from a reality show winner, but it is for a worthy cause. Fancy a listen? here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=GhxbP5o9DoE
We have another joke from our listener Benji Pearson, will it match the hilarity of last episode's joke. You decide.
We have a book review of The National Geographic Kids Weird But True Christmas.
300 "facts" to bore your friends with.
Then we look at X-mas Marks The Spot, a Christmas episode of The Real Ghostbusters cartoon where the Ghostbusters meet Scrooge and the 3 Christmas Ghosts.
If you fancy watching it, here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=k0Dx2JIVWx8
This episode's recommendation is the podcast Imagined Life from Wondery.

Merry ChristmasSun, 23 May 2021 - 29 - Episode 29 - Attack of the Yule Cat
Here we go again, it's another "wonderful" episode.
We've got loads of the usual stuff.
First up it's Robin Sings and the girls have their first song request. Thanks to our lovely listener Nancy, they'll be singing 'I want a Hippopotamus for Christmas'.
It's the return of my favourite segment when Jay La Chapelle from Jingle Jank podcast tells us a great Christmas Story of Shame. Checkout Jingle Jank here: jinglejank.com
This episode's version of A Christmas Carol is a right pile of pants, but it does star the voice of Tim Curry as Scrooge. If you want to watch it, it's on Youtube, here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=a0ZJIFEb3A0&t=3384s
Then it's the return of the Yule Lads, well actually it's their pet, the Yule Cat. Find out why you better get some new clothes for Christmas.
If you want to get in touch email address is totalchristmas@gmail.com
Or visit the website totalchristmaspodcast.com
Merry ChristamasSun, 09 May 2021 - 28 - Episode 28 - Jingle Bells, Batman Smells
It's Episode 28 and if my knowledge of numerology is correct, I foresee that this show will be full of the usual stuff.
After last week's wonderful rendition of Jingle Bells, Batman Smells we revisit the song to learn a bit about it's origins and Robin sings some of the numerous versions of the song.
We have a fantastic quiz about the book A Christmas Carol. It's your chance to find out if you know as much as you think you know about this great classic.
Then we look at Bugs Bunny's Looney Tunes Christmas Tales, 3 Christmas stories, one of which is perhaps the laziest version of A Christmas Carol I've ever seen.
If you want to watch it here's a link: https://www.dailymotion.com/video/x5ji4wa
This episode's recommendation is Advent Calendar House hosted by Mike Westfall. It's a great podcast that looks at holiday specials, particularly Christmas ones.

Merry ChristmasSun, 25 Apr 2021 - 27 - Episode 27 - What is Santa Eating?
It's Episode 27, and it's our birthday, 1 glorious year.
This episode we have our anniversary spectacular and believe me when I say we have spared every expense celebrating 12 months of this drivel.
We begin the show with Santa Claus is NOT Coming to Town, and our newly (self) appointed Most Valued Listener, Eddie Honan, tells the tale of how his dad let slip the truth about Saint Nick.
Then we have the triumphant return of Robin Sings. Our darling songstress entertains us all with two humorous renditions of Jingle Bells.
Then we discuss all the wonderful treats that Santa receives as he's making his way around the globe.
After that it's a look at The Christmas Toy. 9 years before Pixar stole their idea, Jim Henson and the Muppets had a wonderful Christmas special about toys that come to life.
This week's recommendation is This Is Love by Phoebe Judge. It's a delightful podcast that we hope you'll enjoy. Here's a link: https://thisislovepodcast.com/

Merry ChristmasSun, 11 Apr 2021 - 26 - Episode 26 - Fonzie's Christmas Carol
After the fiasco of last episode things can only get better.
Well rest assured they do (by a very small amount).
This episode we look at the British dessert of trifle. If you've never had trifle you are seriously missing out. Since its heyday of the 1970s the popularity of trifle has waned somewhat, but don't let that stop you.
We have 2 stories from listeners, a wonderful story about elfing from Ali and a very funny story of shame from our American Scandinavian correspondent Benji.
Then we look at An American Christmas Carol, with none other than Arthur Fonzarelli (or Henry Winkler) as Scrooge... sorry as Benedict Slade who is Scrooge by another name.
It's a decent version and you can watch it here:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sG7x8hHFST0
We have another book review (the 2nd one in a whole year, so don't tell me I'm not cultured). It's the delightful Family Trees by Aurelio O'Brien and it is highly recommended.
If you want to grab a copy, here's a link:
https://www.amazon.co.uk/Aurelio-OBrien/e/B00MCHCK9I/ref=dp_byline_cont_pop_ebooks_1
This episode's recommendation is Superstore. It's a great sitcom set in a big box store in St Louis and it stars America Ferrera from Ugly Betty. It's a lovely show and very funny. I've been binging it on Netflix.
If you want to get in touch please email me at totalchristmas@gmail.com

Merry ChristmasSun, 28 Mar 2021 - 25 - Episode 25 - Christmas Pickles
Episode 25? That's a quarter century... hard to believe.
This episode we focus on the wonderful tradition of the Christmas Pickle.
First up we discuss the history of the tradition, does it date back as far as the days of the real St Nicholas, is it from the American civil war or was it just the clever idea of some marketing executive who had too many pickle ornaments left over? Who knows? Not me, I'll tell you that for nothing.
Next up we listen to some of the 'wonderful' songs about Christmas Pickles. Here's some links if you want to have a listen:
La Legende de Saint Nicolas
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mZZqwKZVLbE
The Carol of the Christmas Pickle

Here's a link:

Merry ChristmasSun, 14 Mar 2021 - 24 - Episode 24 - Band Aid 2
Here we are with a bunch more of the usual stuff.
First off we have an exciting book review. Is 'The Funniest Christmas Joke Book Ever' the funniest Christmas joke book ever? The short answer is 'no' but listen to the review anyway.
Then we find out about Band Aid 2.
5 years after the first Band Aid, a collection of popstars got together to record the song again, and it could be worse.
Last week we discussed the 1984 version of A Christmas Carol starring George C Scott. This week we have an interview with the man who played the body double for both The Ghost of Christmas Present and The Ghost of Christmas Yet To Come. His name's Martin Wood and not only is he a generally lovely bloke he's also the world's tallest town Crier.
Here's a link to his website: https://towncriermartin.com/
This episode's recommendation is Workaholics. It's the sort of fun we need to brighten up these dog days of Winter.

Merry ChristmasSun, 28 Feb 2021 - 23 - Episode 23 - George C Scott's Christmas Carol
It's Episode 23 and it's great to be alive.
We start with a Story of Shame form one of the co-hosts of Jingle Jank, Jay Lachapelle, will the young ever learn that no good will come from peeking at your Christmas presents?
Hard to believe, but this is the first time we look at one of the major versions of A Christmas Carol. This is the 1984 one starring George C Scott as Scrooge and a host of British actors in the supporting roles. It's a fantastic version and if you've never seen it, it's on YouTube.
Plus there's a very bad quiz where you have to guess if the actors from this version of A Christmas Carol ever appeared in Dr Who.
Robin and Juno sing Away In A Manger and manage to get most of the words right.
This Episode's recommendation is Gossipmongers. In my opinion it's the funniest podcast out there. Here's a link: https://podcasts.apple.com/gb/podcast/gossipmongers/id1454848064
If you want to get in touch please email me at totalchristmas@gmail.com
Merry ChristmasSun, 14 Feb 2021 - 22 - Episode 22 - Reindeer Games
We're back baby!
and don't pretend you haven't missed us.
It's a brand new year and what better way to get the new season off to a start than having some technical problems. That's right kids, you'll be sure to notice some sound issues with this one and there's a simple explanation. . . I'm crap.
First off Robin and Juno sing the all time classic Jingle Bells.
Then we have an interview with the wonderful Tilly Smith who runs the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre in Scotland. To learn a bit more here's a link:
www.cairngormreindeer.co.uk
This week's version of A Christmas Carol is the very forgettable (or at least I hope I can forget it) version by Pink Fong. It's only 5 minutes long so you may as well have a gander, here's a link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=oxKE308POP8
The recommendation is The Truth from Radiotopia. It's a great podcast and each episode is a different story / radio play. I highly recommend the episode Naughty or Nice which is about some elves at the North Pole. Here's your link:

Our Anonymous Technology Correspondent
Lee Maher the show's Number 1 Fan
Bjorn Hannibal our Scandinavian Correspondent

Merry ChristmasThu, 24 Dec 2020 - 20 - Episode 20 - It's Christmas
It's the last full episode before Christmas, and do we have a show for you?
Yes... the answer is yes.
We've had lots of emails and stories from listeners so we start the show with some of those and we have a brand new member of the team, our self-appointed CEO of Correspondents Britton Wilson.
Then our US correspondent tries a mince pie for the first time. Will he love it, will he hate it?
We also have our first ever book review and it's for Skipping Christmas by John Grisham, This book was turned into the film Christmas With The Kranks and it's not bad.
Robins Sings the all time classic White Christmas.
Then we have an interview with the man behind the fantastic website Why Christmas. He tells all about the site and some of the bizarre things he's learnt while making the site.
Have a look at his site here: whychristmas.com
Then it's the last of the Yule Lads, Candle Beggar. Find out why he's the most popular one of the Yule Lads in Iceland.
If you want to get in touch you can email us at totalchristmas@gmail.com or visit the website totalchristmaspodcast.com
Merry ChristmasSun, 20 Dec 2020 - 19 - Episode 19 - Christmas, Again
It's episode 19 and once again it's packed to the gills.
We have not one, but two Santa Claus is Not coming to town stories for you, plus Benji Pearson shares his story of decorating the family Christmas tree.
The gift suggestion is for those ungrateful kids who 'forget' to send a Thank You card. It's a pack of Thank You cards for the kids to colour in and then send back to you. Sometimes you just need to give them a gentle hint. Here's a link: www.theillustratedsaying.co.uk
I have an interview with our lovely listener Shelli Arnold, who talks to us about the model Christmas village she makes each year. Make sure you check out the Facebook page to see just how impressive the village is.
This week's version of a Christmas Carol is set in modern day Scotland and on a very low budget, the film makers show us just how bad a version of a Christmas Carol can be. I'm not providing a link as I don't want to put you through having to watch it.
Then it's something a bit different. I have a film review of the 2014 movie Christmas, Again, and then I have an interview with the director Charles Poekel.
This film instantly became one of my all time favourites and we have a give away, so email me with your address and I'll put your name in the hat to win a DVD of Christmas, Again.
Here's a link: https://www.imdb.com/title/tt3894188/
This episode's Yule Lad is Meat Hook, who uses his hook to steal your meat, and then I play a short clip of The Yuletide Lads by Jonah Knight.
If you want to get in touch you can email me at totalchristmas@gmail.com or visit the website, totalchristmaspodcast.com.
Merry ChristmasWed, 09 Dec 2020 - 18 - Episode 18 - Return of the Christmas Movie Quiz
It's Episode 18, and this one is actually over an hour long. Who'd have thought we'd have enough exciting stuff to fill an hour? Well we don't it's about 3 minutes of gold and the rest is drivel, but don't let that stop you.
The present suggestion is to adopt an animal on behalf of someone. They'll get a pack of pictures and stuff and usually you get the chance to visit the zoo or sanctuary for free, plus it's helping a good cause.
Because it's Christmas, why not adopt a reindeer. Here's a link to the Cairngorm Reindeer Centre in Scotland: https://www.cairngormreindeer.co.uk/
We have a story of shame that is also a Christmas unsolved mystery.
Then we find out how the boys from Jingle Jank Podcast found out the truth about Santa Claus.
Robin sings that all time Christmas classic: When Santa Got Stuck Up The Chimney.
Then for a change we feature some great Christmas tunes from some independent artists.
We have songs from Johanna Jones, Sarah Glassman and Rob Vischer. You should definitely give their stuff a listen.
Then it's the moment you've all been waiting for. It's the return of the Christmas Movie Quiz. This time Sean Sotka from the Christmas Podcasts Podcast tries his hand and I've got to say, he does pretty well.
Here's a link to Sean's podcast: https://christmaspodcasts.com/series/christmas-podcasts-podcast/
This episode's Yule Lad is Door Sniffer and it's not as exciting as it sounds.
The recommendation this week is Weird Christmas with Craig Kringle and if you've never listened, you should. Here's a link: https://weirdchristmas.com/category/podcast/
Then I repeat the offer of a handmade card from our resident artist Robin, all you have to do is record and send us a story.
If you want to get in touch you can email us at totalchristmas@gmail.com or visit the website totalchristmaspodcast.com.
Merry ChristmasSun, 29 Nov 2020 - 17 - Episode 17 - Christmas Plant Legends and Smurfs
It's another packed show, it's packed in tighter than sardines wearing their thick Christmas jumpers, and it's just as cosy.
There's a bunch of messages from listeners and finally one of those listeners has a suggestion for a Christmas gift. Plus we introduce you to our brand new Scandinavian correspondent Bjorn.
Robin sings Rudolf the Red Nosed Reindeer, and gets nearly all the words right... who'd believe it.
The song this episode is the seldom heard Christmas In Smurfland by Father Abraham and the Smurfs and it's a beautiful little tune.
Listen to it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ghrE0PKIAgo
Then we talk about the Smurf's Christmas Carol and despite the fact it strays far from the original story it's actually lots of fun.
As threatened last episode we return to the world of Christmas plants with 6 legends related to the plants that flower at Christmas.
The Yule Lad is window peeper, is he casing the joint or is he just a perv watching me getting changed.
This episode's recommendation is Merry Britsmas. Hosted by Adam Parker, this fantastic podcast talks about the Christmas traditions and celebrations in the UK.
Here's a link: https://www.merrybritsmas.co.uk/
Finally, this week we introduce our brand new offer. If you record a Christmas story and email it through we'll send you a gift that is worth (in my opinion) £1000. This is not a joke (well, it sort of is, but a very bad one so you wouldn't class it as a joke) so send us your stories. You have until the 7th of December to get them to us.
If you want to get in touch you can email us at totalchristmas@gmail.com or visit the website totalchristmaspodcast.com.
Merry ChristmasSun, 15 Nov 2020 - 16 - Episode 16 - Christmas Plants
It's Episode 16 of The Total Christmas Podcast and this show is packed to the rafters.
We have the worst present ever. It's a secret Santa gift, and this secret Santa should be thoroughly ashamed of himself.
The perfect gift idea is a personalised wine, beer or coffee glass. There's an endless selection and it'll probably break within a year so you can buy them the same gift next year. It's the gift you keep giving.
Thanks to a listener suggestion, this episode I give a list of plants that will flower around Christmas time and make for the perfect decorations in and outside your house.
Then Benji Pearson shares his story of shame.
The version of A Christmas Carol we look at was from an episode of A Shower of Stars. It stars Frederic March as Scrooge and Basil Rathbone as Jacob Marley, and it's not the best.
If you want to watch it, here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ih5NNa6PEvA&list=RDXT0Rzy5Op2Q&index=11
The Yule Lad of the week is called Sausage Swiper. The name pretty much says it all.
The recommendation is Totally Rad Christmas. A podcast hosted by friend of the show Gerry D. Each episode he and a guest look at the things that made Christmas in the 80s so rad. Whether it's a film, TV show, toy or song +it's loads of fun and I was the guest on episode 32.

If you want to get in touch you can email us at totalchristmas@gmail.com or visit the website totalchristmaspodcast.com.
Merry ChristmasSun, 01 Nov 2020 - 15 - Episode 15 - The Gift of Christmas
Welcome Back, you beautiful people. It's Episode 15 and this show is jam packed with the usual stuff.
I've roped in an expert gift-buyer to suggest 3 different gifts that are perfect for anyone, then Robin and Juno each make up a Christmas song.
Then it's my idea for a Christmas gift. Why not get your loved one a personalised plant pot and a plant ? There are plant pots to suit everyone.
Then our Anonymous Technology Correspondent shares the story of the worst Christmas present his dad ever received, and it's a doozy.
Back in 1995 a host of the most lightweight popstars in the UK all joined together to record a charity single for the charity Childline. The song was called The Gift of Christmas and it was a bit naff to be honest. What I really enjoyed was watching them (or the ones who could be bothered to turn up) mime along to it on Top of the Pops.
The Yule Lad we look at this episode is called Skyr Gobbler, and listen while your host gobbles what he believes to be skyr (which is a type of Icelandic cheese).
The recommendation is Santa by the Minute. It's a lovely podcast where the two hosts, John and Bin, discuss the Christmas classic Santa Claus The Movie one minute at a time.
Here's a link: https://santabytheminute.podbean.com/
If you want to get in touch you can email us at totalchristmas@gmail.com or visit the website totalchristmaspodcast.com.
Merry ChristmasSun, 18 Oct 2020 - 14 - Episode 14 - The Energy Carol
It's Episode 14 and Robin is back and so is a Christmas Carol.
We suggest another fantastic Christmas gift, and this episode it's a Bluetooth Beanie Hat. The perfect gift for anyone with a head who likes to listen to stuff.
We look at The Energy Carol. Produced by The National Film Board of Canada in 1975 this version of the Dickens classic aims to make you save electricity. It's only 10 minutes long, so have a watch of it. Here's your link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=njFnLDR8mr0
This episode, not only does Robin sing, but Juno her 2 year old sister is there as well. You haven't heard Silent Night until you've heard it by these two songstresses.
Then we look at Door Slammer, the 7th Yule Lad. Well, I say Yule Lad, but is it really just the wind?
This episode's recommendation is Tis The Podcast. One of the rare breed of Christmas Podcasts that comes out weekly. Every week they discuss a different Christmas film, special or TV episode. Here's a link to the website: https://www.tisthepodcast.com/
If you want to get in touch you can email us at totalchristmas@gmail.com or visit the website totalchristmaspodcast.com.
Merry ChristmasSun, 04 Oct 2020 - 13 - Episode 13 - The Christmas Movie Quiz Strikes Back
It's back kids, the Christmas Movie Quiz returns and this time with 3 times as many questions. Think you know your Christmas movies? Well test your knowledge against our guest, Gerry Davila from The Totally Rad Christmas Podcast.
If you'd like to check out Gerry's podcast, here's a link: https://www.buzzsprout.com/840331
We all know how difficult it is to choose the perfect present, well this episode we start a new segment where we recommend the perfect gift. This time it's a portrait of your loved ones' pet. There are lots of people who offer hand drawn pet portraits, but the one who drew our cats is called Chloe and here's a link: https://www.facebook.com/paintthemoment/
Scott Newman, our US correspondent, tells us his story of shame.
Then it's this week's Yule Lad, Bowl Licker, apparently he's not the most attractive chap but don't hold that against him.
This week's recommendation is a website and podcast for everyone who can't get enough of Christmas podcasts.
The website is christmaspodcasts.com and they share all the different Christmas podcasts that are out there. They also have a podcast that reviews all the new Christmas podcast episodes.
If you want to get in touch you can email us at totalchristmas@gmail.com or visit the website totalchristmaspodcast.com.
Merry ChristmasSun, 20 Sep 2020 - 12 - Episode 12 - Aussie Christmas Songs
Hello you beautiful people, you have been sorely missed.
It's Episode 12 of the podcast and this week we're proud to announce we have a Number 1 fan (self-appointed) and he shares his Worst Christmas Present Ever.
As mentioned in the last episode, the wonderful Rachele Teasdale sent through some Aussie Christmas Songs and we find out if your host is familiar with them (spoiler alert: no he isn't).
Here's the songs:
He's the Aussie Santa by Bucko & Champs
https://youtu.be/0sGqk1aYmk8
Christmas Photo by John Williamson
https://youtu.be/ctvh9GVckTE
The Aussie Christmas Song by Batesy
https://youtu.be/FVCCIx0YxOo
Six White Boomers by Rolf Harris
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hlSsffF2xhA
Good King Wally by Bucko & Champs
https://youtu.be/_hcMF3SacCw
White Wine in the Sun by Tim Minchin
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCNvZqpa-7Q
This week's recommendation is also this week's Santa Claus is NOT Coming to Town. It's the excellent Christmas Past Podcast and the presenter, Brian Earl, tells the story of how he discovered the truth about Santa.
Christmas Past talks about the history of all the traditions we love at Christmas, it's educational and entertaining and the website is also lots of fun.
Here's a link:
christmaspast.media
Yule Lad of the week is Pot Scraper, he has an ingenious method to help him steal your pots and give them a good scraping, but I can't help thinking this could all be avoided if people would just clean their pots and pans.
If you want to get in touch you can email us at totalchristmas@gmail.com or visit the website totalchristmaspodcast.com.
Merry ChristmasSun, 06 Sep 2020 - 11 - Episode 11 - Impressions of a Christmas Carol
It's Episode 11 and you know what that means... nope, neither do we.
We revisit young Robin and she belts out what some would refer to as a wonderful Christmas song, but others would consider the ramblings of a madman. Plus her little sister gives her interpretation of Jingle Bells.
This episode's version of A Christmas Carol is Rich Little's Christmas Carol, a TV special from 1978. Rich Little is a famous impersonator and he plays all the characters in the story, each one as a different famous person including such greats as W C Fields, Jimmy Stewart, Humphrey Bogart and plenty more.
You can watch it on YouTube, here's a link:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-AdkFdOs-Vs&t=2109s
Then we get to learn a bit more about our US correspondent Scott Newman who tells us about his favourite Christmas things.
Do you want to lose weight?
Do you want to see the fat fall off?
Then follow the Spoon Licker diet!
Yes, this episode the Yule Lad we look at is Spoon Licker, he's spindle thin, and you could be too if you follow his brand new fad diet.
The recommendation is Jingle Jank, starring none other than our US correspondent Scott Newman. It's a great new show that takes a look at some of the random Christmas songs that you never knew existed.
Here's a link to the website:

Merry ChristmasSun, 23 Aug 2020 - 10 - Episode 10 - British Classic Christmas Songs
It's episode 10 of The Total Christmas Podcast and do we have a show for you? Do we? I don't know, you be the judge.
First we look at Christmas in Australia thanks to our listener from Perth, Rachel Teasdale, she shares a look at the delights she serves up each year for Christmas dinner. We also pause for a moment to think of those poor older gentlemen who don the white beard and thick red fur coat to be Father Christmas where the temperatures reach around 40 degrees Celsius.
Next we discuss the origin of the term Boxing Day to describe the day after Christmas day.
Then we have a chat with our US correspondent, Scott Newman, and play a number of songs that are outright Christmas classics in the UK, but may not have made the leap across the pond to the US or to any other country for that matter. See how many you recognise.
Here's the list of songs I play:- I Wish It Could Be Christmas Everyday - WizzardMerry Xmas Everybody - SladeLonely This Christmas - MudStop The Cavalry - Jona LewieMerry Christmas Everyone - Shakin' StevensDo They Know It's Christmas (1989) - Band Aid 2Mistletoe And Wine - Cliff RichardChristmas Time (Don't Let The Bells End) - The Darkness
This week's Yule Lad is Stubby, and honestly, I think it's a bit unfair that all we know about him is that he's vertically challenged.
Then there's a short bit where I beg you, the dear listener, to leave the podcast a review, preferably a positive one. It'll only take a minute of your time but it would mean the world to us.
If you want to get in touch or be a part of the show, you can visit the facebook page, email us at totalchristmas@gmail.com or visit the website totalchristmaspodcast.com
Merry ChristmasSun, 09 Aug 2020 - 9 - Episode 9 - A Christmas Scandal
Episode 9 of The Total Christmas Podcast brings us another Muppet Christmas special, and it's also a loose version of A Christmas Carol. It's the rather forgettable A Special Sesame Street Christmas. Starring Leslie Uggams, it features a whole array of guests stars but only 3 muppets.
You can watch it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hq2ifwz7XqU
In our Christmas Story Of Shame we discuss the horror of the Road To The Christmas Bowl voting scandal. On the Can't Wait For Christmas podcast all listeners were stunned when fruit cake was beaten in the vote by the humble mince pie, well now we reveal how and why it happened.
This week's Not So Christmas Classic is from the Peter Pan of pop, Cliff Richard, he broke a string of Christmas number 1s with this not so popular offering that I still enjoy. It's called We Should Be Together and have a listen here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CBNiUcaH8cY&t=2262s
Then we look at the 2nd Yule Lad, Gully Gawk and find out what his particular quirk is.
If you want to get in touch you can email us at totalchristmas@gmail.com or visit the facebook page or go to the website totalchristmaspodcast.com
Merry ChristmasSun, 26 Jul 2020 - 8 - Episode 8 - The Yule Lads
It's Episode 8 of The Total Christmas Podcast, and the emails have been flooding in, all 2 of them.
We have a professional celebrity chef who is going to give us their secret recipe for the perfect Christmas pudding, and then they sing us a song.
This episode's version of a Christmas Carol is the 1939 radio play, with Orson Welles narrating and Lionel Barrymore as Ebeneezer Scrooge. If you want to have a listen here's a link: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3gJ3jINcTR0
In Christmas All Over The World we take a trip up to the far North and look into Christmas in Iceland, and we learn about the Yule Lads. Plus there's a quiz, can you tell the difference between a Yule Lad and a Yule Bad?
So there's all that, and we introduce you to The Total Christmas Drinking game, an exciting way to actually gain some joy from listening to this drivel.
This week's recommendation is Librivox, a fantastic website where you can listen to free audiobooks that are in the public domain. There are over 13,000 books to choose from and you don't have to sign up, you can just go on the site and download a book, it's all free. Here's the link:
https://librivox.org/
If you want to get in touch or get involved, you can contact us by facebook, email totalchristmas@gmail.com or go to the website, totalchristmaspodcast.com
Merry ChristmasSun, 12 Jul 2020 - 7 - Episode 7 - Yule Logs
It's the 7th Episode of The Total Christmas Podcast and we've received another email from a listener. Hard to believe but true.
This episode's version of A Christmas Carol is a seldom seen animated one from 1991 produced by Fuji Television and Saban International Services. They play fast and loose with the story line, but it has a certain charm. If you fancy watching it here's a link to it on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=meZEOsCHqlk&t=458s
We take a good hard look at Yule logs, not just the wooden ones, but the delicious cake ones and we even have our first ever interview. We talk to Darrell Sopel from Alberta Canada one of the masterminds behind the world's biggest yule log as listed in the Guinness Book of World Records.
And this week's Christmas Not So Classic is also this week's recommendation. It's Tinsel Tunes the podcast hosted by Duane Bailey that delves deep into all the Christmas songs we know so well. He'll be looking at Ding Dong Ding Dong by George Harrison. If you're not already listening to Tinsel Tunes, here's a link to the website: https://tinseltunes.com/
If you want to get in touch or join in with the show drop us an email at totalchristmas@gmail.com
Merry ChristmasSun, 28 Jun 2020 - 6 - Episode 6 - 50 Grand for Christmas
It's the 6th Episode of The Total Christmas Podcast and we have some questions from our US correspondent Scott Newmann about Mince Pies. Scott also provides us with a great new segment where listeners can share their own personal Christmas traditions.
This episode we look at the first ever film adaptation of A Christmas Carol, Scrooge; Or Marley's Ghost all the way back from 1901.
You can watch the film here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=O9Mk-B7MKP8
Did you know that in 2004 Simon Cowell said he'd pay an X-Factor contestant £50,000 if he could get a record contract and a Number 1 single? Well he did and we look at the Christmas not so classic 50 Grand For Christmas by Paul Holt.
Listen to it here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1BfSsbiOIBM
The recommendation of the week is also the Christmas Story of Shame. We look at Christmas Clatter, the excellent podcast from Todd Killian, and we play the story of the day Todd and his family went to get a Christmas tree.
Check out Christmas Clatter at christmasclatterpodcast.com
If you want to get in touch or join in with the show drop us an email at totalchristmas@gmail.com
Merry ChristmasSun, 14 Jun 2020 - 5 - Episode 5 - Christmas Movie Quiz
It's Episode 5 of the Total Christmas Podcast and this time we look at Rufus the Dog's Christmas Carol, a very funny puppet take on the classic story.
We have a brand new segment, My Worst Christmas Present Ever, and your host, Jack, tells the sad story of the worst present he ever received.
In Robin Sings, the young songstress treats us all to her beautiful rendition of Deck The Halls.
And... this episode is the first Total Christmas Podcast Quiz. Test your Christmas movie knowledge, listen to the clips and see if you can tell which Christmas Movies they come from.
This episodes recommendations are two lovely websites that focus on just the good news:
