Serena longed for peace, a respite from the cacophony of urban life that left her feeling drained and weary. One day, as the demands of the city threatened to overwhelm her, Serena decided it was time for a change. Driven by an unexplainable longing, Serena packed a small bag and set off on a journey to the countryside. Her destination was a remote village nestled between rolling hills and dense forests. The air there was crisp and pure, a stark contrast to the polluted cityscape she left behind. In this tranquil haven, Serena hoped to find solace and rediscover the tranquility she had lost. As she arrived in the village, Serena was greeted by the sweet scent of wildflowers and the gentle rustling of leaves. The village was a quaint collection of cottages, surrounded by lush meadows and winding paths that led to secret pockets of nature. Here, time seemed to slow down, and the world became a symphony of bird songs and rustling leaves. Serena settled into a cozy cottage, the only sound the distant murmur of a bubbling brook. Become aware of the intricacies of your breath.  PAUSE… Feel the cool air on your nose as you breathe in, And the warm air on your nose as you breathe out.  PAUSE… Notice your belly rise with every inhale, And fall with every exhale.  PAUSE… See if you can expand your breath. Inhaling a little deeper each time you breathe in, And exhaling a little longer each time you breathe out.  PAUSE… Slow it all down, Sinking deeper and deeper, Releasing more and more, Feeling lighter and lighter, As you come into the quiet.  LONG PAUSE… There’s magic that exists in your breath. Profound wisdom in the air that flows in, And out. PAUSE… It feels, It knows, It heals.  It flows.  PAUSE… It all exists right here within you, The ability to heal, The ability to nurture and love, The ability to glow.  LONG PAUSE… So find the rhythm of your breath, Honoring its journey in and out of your body. I have seen the world change around me, and yet I remain steadfast and grounded in my purpose. I have learned that change is inevitable, and that it is our reaction to change that determines our happiness." The traveler was intrigued and asked the tree to tell him more. The tree continued, "Life is like the seasons. There are times of growth and times of rest, times of joy and times of sorrow. But just as the seasons change, so too do our circumstances. But first you must let, All of it go, Your need to control every piece.  Let your jaw release, Let your eyes get heavy, Let your entire face just melt. Lower your shoulders, And open your chest, Let go of all you’ve felt.  PAUSE… Breathe and relax, Calm down real slow.  Breathe and release, And let yourself go. LONG PAUSE… Imagine your mind, So full and so fast, It all feels so heavy and raw.  Imagine your breath, Grabbing what’s there, And carrying it out till it’s gone.  PAUSE… Over and over again, You gather them up, All of those thoughts and those plans.  And each time you breathe, They all get released, Dissolving into tiny little grams.  PAUSE… Breathe and relax, Calm down real slow.  Breathe and release, And let yourself go.
