Amidst rising breast cancer rates among younger Americans, a new guideline about breast cancer screening emerges from the US Preventive Services Task Force. The USPSTF now recommends women beginning at 40 years old should receive a mammogram every other year. The previous recommendation was that women should begin receiving biannual screenings at age 50. This year, Salisbury Beach residents spent $600k out of pocket and trucked in 15,000 tons of sand for protective dunes only for half of it to be washed away in the last month. Plum Island has also been facing extreme erosion in the last couple of years, seeing some of their homes get destroyed by the ocean. We heard from you.

The idea was met with backlash including backlash from NH Gov. Chris Sununu, who did not take too kindly to the idea saying it was another way to “unnecessarily take your money.” MA Gov. The March Consumer Price Index report showed that core inflation is up 3.5% year over year. The increase is being driven in large part by the increased cost of housing and gasoline.
