Is the purpose simply to humiliate Trump even if the court isn’t able to convict him of any crimes? Rich notes that Judge Juan Merchan’s daughter—Loren Merchan—is president of Authentic Campaigns, which is a progressive political consulting firm whose Democrat clients have raised an estimated $93 million via “solicitation emails” referencing the trial, according to a report from The New York Post. Trump has been charged with attempting to conceal payments made to Daniels. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg alleges that the payment concealment amounted to falsified business records which influenced the 2016 election. 5:45pm- BREAKING NEWS: Catie Edmondson of The New York Times writes, “Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene of Georgia moved on Wednesday to oust Speaker Mike Johnson from his post, teeing up a snap vote on whether to allow the Louisiana Republican to keep his gavel in a remarkable act of political retribution that she has been threatening for weeks.” You can read the full report here: https://www.nytimes.com/2024/05/08/us/politics/greene-johnson-vacate.html
6:05pm- While speaking with Brett Baier on Fox News, Senator John Fetterman (D-PA) said he hasn’t followed the criminal trials brought against Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump—and doubts voters in Pennsylvania care very much about the cases. During the conversation, Fetterman also called on elected officials to do more to secure the U.S. Southern border, advocated for supporting Israel, and endorsed American energy independence. Rich jokes: when is Fetterman going to switch parties?
6:35pm- On Tuesday, adult film star Stormy Daniels testified in the Donald Trump “hush money” case—offering salacious details about her alleged affair with the former president in 2006. But why was Daniels permitted to provide over-the-top testimony that was immaterial to the charges being brought against Trump? 4:05pm- Isaac Schorr of Mediate reports that talk show host Michael Smerconish has been disinvited from speaking at Dickinson College’s commencement ceremony after students complained about a passage from a book he wrote in 2004. Schorr writes: “In his book, Smerconish argued against a Department of Transportation policy that ‘precluded more than two individuals of any particular ethnicity from being singled out at the same time for secondary screening at airports.’” You can read the full story here: https://www.mediaite.com/news/cnns-michael-smerconish-disinvited-from-college-commencement-over-comments-from-2004/
4:20pm- After leaving court on Monday, Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump revealed that his “hush money” trial may last another 2 to 3 weeks—which will keep him off the campaign trail.
4:40pm- George Leef of National Review writes: “Let’s look at the new California minimum wage law for workers in fast food businesses and see how it has been working out. Professor Lee Ohanian has done some digging and writes about his findings in [his] piece for Independent Institute. He observes more than 9,500 jobs have already been wiped out, with more expected.” You can read the full article here: https://www.nationalreview.com/corner/californias-minimum-wage-wipes-out-thousands-of-jobs/
4:50pm- Barak Ravid of Axios reports that the Biden Administration “put a hold on a shipment of U.S.-made ammunition to Israel.” Rich notes that Congress explicitly provided $26 billion in aid for Israel in last month’s $95 billion foreign aid bill. Ukraine received assistance immediately—why was Israel forced to wait?
Mon, 06 May 2024 - 6342 - Trump Fined AGAIN + Psaki Says Biden Doesn’t Need to Do More Press Conferences
The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1:
3:05pm- While speaking briefly with the press on Monday prior to entering court in New York City, President Donald Trump said the gag order imposed on him by Judge Juan Merchan is “not fair” and argued that the scope of the gag order infringes upon his constitutional right to free speech. On Monday, Judge Merchan fined Trump $1,000 for violating the gag order and emphasized that continued violations could result in Trump being sent to jail.
3:15pm- On Monday, former Press Secretary—and current MSNBC host—Jen Psaki stated that she did not believe it’s necessary for President Joe Biden to do more press conferences in order to win reelection in 2024.
3:40pm- David Gelman—Defense Attorney & Former Prosecutor—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss his work as a legal surrogate for former President Donald Trump and the Trump 2024 Campaign. Why has Trump been subjected to a gag order while Michael Cohen, for example, has not been?

Sat, 04 May 2024 - 6340 - Did Alvin Bragg’s Case Against Trump Just Fall Apart? + College Protesters Hate Western Society
The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (05/02/2024):
3:05pm- Did Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s “hush money” case against former President Donald Trump just blow up? Matthew Haag of The New York Times writes: “Defense lawyers for Donald J. Trump painted the lawyer who negotiated the hush-money deal at the center of his criminal trial as a serial extortionist, accusing him of taking aim at Mr. Trump before the 2016 election with a porn star’s account of a sexual liaison. The lawyer, Keith Davidson, spent hours on the stand describing how he received the $130,000 payment for the woman, Stormy Daniels, from Mr. Trump’s longtime fixer, Michael D. Cohen, and the mad scramble that ensued when the story got out anyway. The cross-examination quickly turned hostile: Mr. Trump’s lawyers sought to cast Mr. Davidson as a shakedown artist who took aim at celebrities including Tila Tequila and Charlie Sheen, while he fought back by suggesting they were using loaded language like ‘extortion’ to stigmatize legitimate settlements.” During his opening monologue Rich notes that during testimony, Davidson said he did not consider the payments from Trump to be “hush money.” You can read more here: https://www.nytimes.com/live/2024/05/02/nyregion/trump-hush-money-trial/trump-trial-keith-davidson-testimony?smid=url-share
3:30pm- Does anyone else think former Trump attorney Michael Cohen simply sounds bitter because he wasn’t selected for a prestigious position in the Trump Administration in 2016?
3:40pm- Drum Roll Please: Rich will be at Mulligan’s Shore Bar in Wildwood on Saturday May 11th from 5pm to 7pm for Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump’s big campaign rally in Wildwood, NJ!
4:05pm- Listeners call-in and offer their opinions on the Trump “hush money” trial—but Rich gets sidetracked when he starts receiving compliments!
4:30pm- Former President Donald Trump spoke with the press briefly after court concluded on Thursday. PLUS, the New York Times’s Maggie Haberman claims that “Trump left the courtroom, squinting strangely at Lawrence O’Donnell, the MSNBC host, as he did.” Don’t forget, Haberman famously complained that Trump “glared” at her during a court appearance last month. Will Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Brag prosecute Trump for “glaring” and “squinting” next?
4:40pm- In a particularly bizarre segment from MSNBC’s Morning Joe, host Joe Scarborough predicted that if Donald Trump wins the 2024 presidential race, he will “arrest political enemies” and “execute generals that don’t follow his commands”—even using “SEAL Team 6 to execute political opponents.” Speaking of dictators, did you know that an estimated 16 million people are descendants of Genghis Khan?
5:05pm- After leaving court on Thursday, former President Donald Trump visited with the NYPD and FDNY—brining a mountain of pizzas with him!
5:10pm- While speaking with the press, a spokesperson for the UCLA anti-Israel protesters proclaimed that the university was “founded on colonialism,” calling it a “violent institution.” She went on to condemn the United States of America as being evil and called for the dismantling of the country’s institutions.
5:20pm- The Wall Street Journal Editorial Board writes: “Why pass laws when the Biden Administration ignores them? The latest example is a new rule that purports to codify permitting reform in Congress’s debt-ceiling deal last year. Instead, the rule creates a pocket veto for fossil fuels and public works while rubber-stamping green projects. Permitting reform for we, but not thee… The Administration’s new rule ignores the law by making it easy to kill projects that progressives oppose… Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer promised West Virginia Sen. Joe Manchin he’d take up permitting reform in return for supporting the Inflation Reduction Act. But Democrats in Congress blocked significant reforms, and now the Administration guts even the minor reforms in the IRA.” You can read the full article here: https://www.wsj.com/articles/permitting-reform-rule-biden-administration-green-projects-fossil-fuels-environment-2396058a?mod=opinion_lead_pos2
5:40pm- Pro-Israel and Pro-Palestine demonstrators at Alabama University shared a brief moment of unity when both sides began chanting “F*** Joe Biden.” Who says we can’t all come together?
6:05pm- Amy Swearer—A Senior Legal Fellow in The Heritage Foundation’s Edwin Meese III Center for Legal and Judicial Studies—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss a maddening story about an elderly Pennsylvania homeowner who has been arrested for defending himself during a home invasion. You can read more about the story here: https://reason.com/2024/05/01/this-elderly-man-was-arrested-after-shooting-a-burglar-in-self-defense-because-his-gun-was-unlicensed/. 6:40pm- Rich Lowry of National Review points out: “The Alvin Bragg case has gotten grander at trial, but also more ridiculous. The Manhattan DA has a meaningless business-records misdemeanor wrapped within a theory about an alleged Trump conspiracy to defraud the voters by denying them disparaging information before the election and obscuring, after the fact, the payments that were used to do so. Bragg is accusing Trump, in effect, of stealing the election. If this is the standard by which we judge elections, we need to go back and conclude that Bill Clinton wasn’t elected legitimately in 1992, either. The Arkansas governor’s political operation was, in part, an elaborate conspiracy to keep women who alleged to have had affairs with Clinton quiet. Hillary Clinton was an active participant in the schemes. And so, by Bragg’s logic, this Democratic power couple—dominant in the party for a decade or more and still honored today—comprises election thieves.” You can read the full article here: https://www.nationalreview.com/2024/04/remember-when-bill-clinton-stole-the-1992-election/

The Centers for American Liberty “defends the free speech rights and civil liberties of Americans left behind by the Civil Rights establishment.” You can learn more here: https://libertycenter.org

3 - Catch and Kill! It is not illegal to have an extramarital affair, so why is that on trial in the Trump case? It is not election interference to hide things from the electorate. Would people really have changed their vote knowing the guy who has been married three different times had an affair or two? If so, why has he not lost the evangelical Christian crowd?
330 - A correction. Joe Biden received “4 Pinocchio’s” from the WaPo for his repeated lie that he was arrested protesting for civil rights back in the day on Woke Howard Stern’s Show. Isn’t this the guy who palled around with “The Seggies” talking to the guy that would do blackface skits? Birds of a hypocritical feather flock together.
350 - Rich is mad about the whole premise of the trial, including the taxpayer money going to the daily protection of Donald Trump as he has to keep appearing in court. Let’s get a poll going on who would’ve changed their vote based on these allegations.
4 - Continuing on Trump’s Trial as we are prosecuting him for election interference that he has not won once in two separate elections. Where is the evidence that the outcome would have changed?

430 - Philadelphia’s own Dr. Victoria Coates, Former Deputy National Security Advisor & the Vice President of the Davis Institute for National Security and Foreign Policy at The Heritage Foundation, joins us to discuss the political protests of the conflict in Israel. He argues this is the first AI hate crime hoax, and many more may be on the horizon. The conversation shifts to other AI hazards, such as revenge deepfake porn and staged conversations. Are schools out in Kentucky participating in these protests like the coastal elite schools? Rich and Dr. Reilly wrap up with discussion of Trump’s case in New York.
540 - Rich discusses his differences with other legal scholars over the handling of the Trump case. We listened to Trump’s comments after court today. Rich continues to detail just how weak the case against Trump is.
6 - Zeoli Show In-house Economist Dr. EJ Antoni joins us once again to discuss the new economic numbers. Yes people are earning more now, but the rising costs of things has rendered these wages useless. But we thought inflation was transitory? Yeah, transitioning higher and higher. The two also discuss the non-compete contracts being voided, for now. What happens if we finally abolish The Fed?
620 - Anytime, anywhere. Biden says he’ll debate Trump on Woke Howard Stern’s Show. Will he though? He also spouted more lies, like being arrested during civil rights protests, being the runner -up in “state scoring” in football, and receiving salacious pictures from women during his time as Senator in the 1970’s. A special montage of Biden’s comments on race.

The Rich Zeoli Show- Full Episode (04/25/2024):
3:05pm- On Thursday, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral argument in Trump v. United States—a case which will determine the extent of presidential immunity. In one notable exchange with Justice Department Counsel Michael Dreeben, Justice Brett Kavanaugh asked if, hypothetically, former President Barack Obama could be prosecuted for his administration’s use of drone strikes against U.S. citizens in foreign countries. Justice Clarence Thomas also questioned if previous presidents, like John F. Kennedy who authorized Operation Mongoose which resulted in Cuban civilians being killed, could be criminally prosecuted after leaving office.
3:30pm- During oral argument in Trump v. United States, Supreme Court Justice Sonia Sotomayor asked Donald Trump’s attorney D. John Sauer if the president could, under Sauer’s argument, “assassinate” a political rival with complete immunity?
3:40pm- Robert Bork Jr.—President of the Antitrust Education Project & President of the Bork Communication Group—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to breakdown what he heard during oral argument in the Supreme Court case Trump v. United States, which will determine the extent of presidential immunity. His assessment is that Donald Trump’s attorney D. John Sauer “got the better of the argument today.” Plus, Bork discusses the Federal Trade Commission and Chair Lina Khan invalidating tens-of-millions of employment contracts. You can learn more about the Antitrust Education Project here: https://www.antitrusteducationproject.org/about-aep/
4:05pm- Charlie Savage and Alan Feuer of The New York Times write of oral argument in Trump v. United States: “Although Mr. Trump’s claim of near-absolute immunity was seen as a long shot intended primarily to slow the proceedings, several members of the Republican-appointed majority seemed to indicate that some immunity was needed… Chief Justice John G. Roberts Jr. criticized an appeals court ruling rejecting immunity for Mr. Trump, saying he was concerned that it ‘did not get into a focused consideration of what acts we are talking about or what documents are talking about.’” You can read their full takeaway here: https://www.nytimes.com/live/2024/04/25/us/trump-immunity-supreme-court/supreme-court-trump-immunity-takeaways?smid=url-share

And, if so, wouldn’t that quickly become a threat to the maintenance of a stable democracy?
5:05pm- On Thursday, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral argument in Trump v. United States—a case which will determine the extent of presidential immunity. At one point, Justice Samuel Alito questioned whether former President Franklin Delano Roosevelt could have been, hypothetically, prosecuted for his decision to intern Japanese-American citizens—depriving them of their inherent, constitutionally protected rights—during World War II. In another notable moment, Justice Brett Kavanaugh asked Justice Department Counsel Michael Dreeben if former President Barack Obama could be prosecuted for his administration’s use of drone strikes against U.S. citizens in foreign countries.

The aid package includes a measure that, if passed in the Senate and signed by President Joe Biden, would force Chinese company ByteDance to sell its popular social media platform TikTok to an American-based company—citing a threat to national security. Refusal to sell TikTok would result in the app being banned in the United States. According to reports from Politico and The New York Times, the Biden Administration invested considerable time and effort into a campaign to persuade Speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA) that aid to Ukraine was necessary.

Tue, 23 Apr 2024 - 6301 - Day 6: Trump Trial Updates
The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 1:
3:05pm- During Day 6 of Donald Trump’s “hush money” trial in New York City, Judge Juan M. Merchan and Trump’s legal team clashed over whether the former President violated a court-issued gag order. Additionally, David Becker—the former publisher of The National Enquirer—testified that he would regularly purchase the rights to unflattering stories about Trump and then refuse to publish them—ostensibly burying the story. But is “catch and kill” journalism against the law? Rich notes that you can make the argument it is an ethically questionable practice, but it isn’t illegal.
3:30pm- While leaving a New York City courthouse on Tuesday, former President Donald Trump suggested that the gag-order imposed on him by Judge Juan M. Merchan is unconstitutional and infringed upon his right to free speech.
3:40pm- Taylor Giorno of the Hill writes: “The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) voted 3-2 Tuesday to ban noncompete agreements that prevent tens of millions of employees from working for competitors or starting a competing business after they leave a job.” Does the FTC have the power to issue and enforce this ruling? You can read Giorno’s full article here: https://thehill.com/business/4615452-ftc-votes-to-ban-non-compete-agreements/

4:10pm- Eric Boehm of Reason writes: “Tech companies and First Amendment groups are calling attention to a provision in a domestic spying bill that they say would significantly expand the federal government's power to snoop on Americans' digital communications—potentially by forcing employees of private businesses to become informants. The Information Technology Industry Council (ITI), a global trade group that represents major tech companies including Google and Microsoft, is calling for last-minute changes to the Reforming Intelligence and Securing America Act (RISAA), which could get a final vote in the Senate on Friday. The bill's primary purpose is to extend Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA), which allows U.S. intelligence agencies to scoop up communications between Americans and individuals abroad. But the bill also includes a provision that ‘vastly expands the U.S. government's warrantless surveillance capabilities, damaging the competitiveness of U.S. technology companies large and small, and arguably imperiling the continued global free flow of data between the U.S. and its allies,’ the ITI said in a statement this week.” You can read the full report here: https://reason.com/2024/04/19/how-the-fisa-reauthorization-bill-could-force-maintenance-workers-and-custodians-to-become-government-spies/

President Trump weighs-in on numerous topics including the Biden Administration’s indifference towards securing the U.S. Southern border, biological males competing in women’s sports, Congressional renewal of FISA, and his ongoing fight against politically motivated legal charges which are preventing him from campaigning in key swing states. President Trump jokes of President Joe Biden’s numerous policy failures: “Jimmy Carter was brilliant by comparison.” Plus, are we on the precipice of World War III? The Rich Zeoli Show- Hour 2:
4:05pm- Bruce LeVell—Senior Advisor to President Donald Trump & Former Small Business Advisory Advocate for the White House—joins The Rich Zeoli Show to discuss the 2024 campaign, Trump’s New York City trial over “hush money” payments, and President Joe Biden’s recent trip to Scranton.

Trump was indicted for attempting to conceal payments made to adult film actress Stormy Daniels. Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg alleges that the payment concealment amounted to falsified business records which influenced the 2016 election. McCarthy hilariously notes that Bragg’s legal argument seems to imply that it’s acceptable for a politician to pay-off adult film actresses with campaign funds provided the transactions are properly documented! You can learn more about his book here: https://www.encounterbooks.com/books/ball-of-collusion/.
4:50pm- On Tuesday, the U.S. Supreme Court heard oral argument in Fischer v. United States—a case which will determine whether obstruction laws can be used to charge January 6th defendants. While questioning U.S. Solicitor General Elizabeth Prelogar, Justice Neil Gorsuch asked if “pulling a fire alarm before a [Congressional] vote” would qualify as obstruction, potentially resulting in up to 20-years of federal imprisonment. Notably, Congressman Jamaal Bowman (D-NY) pulled a fire alarm in the Cannon House Office Building just prior to the House holding its vote on a stopgap spending measure—allegedly to delay the vote.

A group of GOP impeachment managers walked over to the Senate Tuesday afternoon to officially deliver the articles and initiate an impeachment trial as Democrats seek to expedite the process or dismiss the charges altogether. Senators will be sworn-in as jurors on Wednesday to begin trial proceedings.” You can read the full article here: https://www.nationalreview.com/news/house-republicans-deliver-mayorkas-impeachment-articles-to-senate/

Through a seemingly innocuous change to the definition of ‘electronic service communications provider,’ the bill vastly expands the universe of U.S. businesses that can be conscripted to aid the government in conducting surveillance. Under current law, the government can compel companies that have direct access to communications, such as phone, email, and text messaging service providers, to assist in Section 702 surveillance by turning over the communications of Section 702 targets. Under Section 504 of the House intelligence committee’s bill, any entity that has access to *equipment* on which communications may be transmitted or stored, such as an ordinary router, is fair game. What does that mean in practice? It’s simple…Hotels, libraries, coffee shops, and other places that offer wifi to their customers could be forced to serve as surrogate spies. They could be required to configure their systems to ensure that they can provide the government access to entire streams of communications.” You can read her full statement on X: https://twitter.com/LizaGoitein/status/1734249938333167889
6:15pm- While appearing on MSNBC, Rep. James Clyburn (D-SC) said that if it hadn’t been for a Russian disinformation campaign during the 2016 election cycle, Hillary Clinton would have defeated Donald Trump.
