The love that we have for NASCAR legend and Friend of the Show, Clint Bowyer is almost rivaled by the hatred we have for Denny Hamlin....and this Sunday, Hamlin is looking to win again at KS Speedway for the Advent Health 400....so, of course we knew it was time to get Bowyer on the show for some good ol' fashioned shit talking about Douchebag Denny...and we covered that and more!!!

I don't think we can overstate just how small today's guest, exotic dancer Tiny Texie really is.

Our friend Quinn from Throw Fame is making all of our wildest dreams come true and we talked to him all about it today!!!

Just a month ago, our production director and dear friend AJ had a near fatal cardiac event, his heart stopping for 6-8 minutes and eventually leading to major bypass surgery...but he's on the mend and today is his birthday, so we had to give our boy a call to see how he's doin'!!!

Christian Okoye's story is the stuff of Hollywood dreams...growing up poor in Nigeria, he was a gifted athlete in track & field...he moved to America at age 21 to train for the Olympics...at age 23, he decided to play football, having never played the game in his life...and a few short years later, he was drafted by the Chiefs, becoming one of the most feared players in NFL, being dubbed The Nigerian Nightmare and leading the NFL in rushing at age 28.

We got the talk to Christian this morning about all of that, as well as his big charity event this Sunday!

NASCAR legend Kyle Petty is, in short, the real deal.
Not only is he part of NASCAR royalty...but he used his fame to launch an annual cross country charity ride to help children's charities...then, after the passing of his son Adam, he founded Victory Junction, a camp that enriches the lives of kids with serious illnesses.
He could easily sit back and rest on his fame in retirement, but he continues to give back...and with his 28th annual ride coming up in a few weeks, we got him on the phone this morning to talk about it!

Yesterday morning we lost a fellow KC radio personality and, more importantly, a friend yesterday when 101 The Fox's Brian "Slacker" Adams passed away after a long and hard fought battle with acute myeloid leukemia.

And no one we've ever known met the challenges he had in front of him with the grace, strength and heart that Slacker displayed.

We paid tribute to our friend this morning...so please take a moment to listen and learn from the many things he taught us.

Any day we get to have an astronaut on the phone is a good day around here...and with the recent story about some space junk falling through the roof of a house in Naples FL, that was a perfect chance to get someone who has plenty of experience with space junk on the phone, retired astronaut Clayton Anderson!!

WWE/NXT star Baron Corbin is always one of our favorite friends to catch up with, bit just because he grew up here...but mostly because, well, he's a bad influence on us...in the most awesome way possible!!

It's been almost a year since we've talked to our friend, comedian Drew Lynch, so when we found out he was rollin' into Wichita this week, we figured we'd call him up and ask "WHY THEM NOT US???"....and, as always with Drew, shit got weird, right away!

Yesterday, we lost one of the best and brightest people we've had the privilege to know, Blackberry Smoke drummer Brit Turner.
Since his diagnosis with glioblastoma in November of '22, he fought with everything he had in him....continuing to tour and record with the band up until December of last year.
The band released a statement that reads:
“It is with the deepest sorrow that we inform everyone that our brother Brit Turner has moved on from this life,” the group said in its statement. “If you had the privilege of knowing Brit on any level, you know he was the most caring, empathetic, driven and endearing person one could ever hope to meet. Brit was Blackberry Smoke’s True North, the compass that instituted the ideology that will continue to guide this band.  Brit has battled glioblastoma since his diagnosis in the fall of 2022 and fought every day. We ask for prayers for his family and band brothers. More information on arrangements will be forthcoming. Thank you to everyone who has supported and been there for Brit and his family through this fight.”

Anyone who ever had the pleasure of meeting Brit would tell you the same thing...we was larger than life, funny, kind, a family man, and truly a one of a kind human being.
And we here are going to miss him very much.
Rest easy, Brit. We'll see you on the other side.

Drummer Artimus Pyle joined Lynyrd Skynyrd before the band recorded their 3rd album, right as the band's popularity was set to go worldwide...and then just a couple years later, it came to a tragic end in a heavily wooded area in Mississippi.
Artimus, miraculously, was one of the survivors of that crash....and eventually started his own band, The Artimus Pyle Band...and now he's assembled names like Sammy Hagar, Ronnie Dunn, Billy Ray Cyrus, Dolly Parton and more to pay tribute to Skynyrd's legacy with a new tribute album!!

Starting back in 1988, John Walsh made it his goal to bring down as many bad guys as he could with the Fox series, America's Most Wanted...and for over 25 seasons he did just that until the show ended in 2012.

But now he and that wildly popular show are back on Fox premiering this Monday night...and we talked to John about it all this morning!
