Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs secured a 17 point victory over the LMU Lions on Thursday, despite a sloppy first half and a herculean effort from Will Johnston. Ryan Nembhard was masterful as well, dropping 16 points on 7-11 shooting along with 11 assists. Isiah Harwell is the top target, and he has re-scheduled his official visit to Spokane after suffering an ACL injury. The Zags are also pursuing a top-ranked wing from Ontario, a 6'11 center from New Zealand, and a guard from Israel in the 2024 class - more proof they are still a major player in the international recruiting market. The Gonzaga Bulldogs have looked outstanding the past two games, and much of the attention has gone to Anton Watson, Graham Ike, Ben Gregg, and Braden Huff for their performances against Pepperdine and San Diego. However, the biggest key for the Zags recent success, and the x-factor for their quest to get into the NCAA Tournament and Sweet 16 once more, is Ryan Nembhard. Nembhard is averaging over eight assists and shooting 50% from three in his past five games, and that level of elite point guard play is what Mark Few and the Zags need to keep the streak alive. Mark Few and the Gonzaga Bulldogs lost at Santa Clara for the first time since 2011, their fifth loss of the season and a squandered opportunity after fighting so hard to get back into the contest.
