But hold up, Nicole's journey isn't just business; it's a rollercoaster of self-discovery, bouncing back, and the radical act of putting yourself first.
Nicole learned the art of choosing herself during a seriously tough time. It was like a trial by fire, but guess what? She emerged from the flames shining brighter than ever. I had the best chat with Nicole, and you're in for a treat when you hear her story.
She faced medical curveballs that could've knocked anyone flat – a crazy side effect of hand-foot-mouth disease and a curveball with a cancer diagnosis right smack in the middle of a pandemic. Most folks would've waved the white flag, but not Nicole. She saw these hurdles as messages, little nudges from her own body telling her she wasn't on the right path. So, what did she do? Wed, 30 Aug 2023 - 41min - 128 - Cultivating True Happiness through Meaningful Connections
Only 14% of all Americans report being very happy
This stat comes from a study that Tamika, relationship expert extraordinaire shared with me from The University of Chicago. Tamika says that she isn’t very surprised by that stat given the rollercoaster life has been taking us all on with the pandemic and big shifts in other areas. We all want that happiness boost, but let's face it, sometimes we don’t even quite know what that means to us.
Tamika is here to let us know the secret to happiness. Are you ready to hear it? The secret is relationships.
She's not just saying this out of the blue. There's this legendary Harvard study that goes back decades, and guess what? It backs her up. Even some go-getter entrepreneurs participating in the study thought their biz was the key to their joy, only to find out that real happiness was hanging out with their peeps – family, friends, colleagues, and other wonderful people they’ve met along the way. This is very real science that supports that personal connection and relationships (both platonic and romantic) are what bring true happiness into our lives.
But what lights up Tamika's passion for connections like a neon sign? It's a story that starts with loss but blooms into self-discovery and meaningful friendships.. Losing her dad at the age of 13 was like a cosmic nudge. She understood that life is short and sweet, so she set out to make those bonds in her relationships count.
The universe will test you in what you teach.
Tamika's all about taking life's pop quizzes. She's been through her share of relationship riddles, and that's where she sharpened her relationship toolbox. It's like she's cracked the code on what makes a bond tick. Her mission: build rock-solid connections that light up lives and help others do the exact same.
Stay tuned, because we're just scratching the surface of Tamika's insights. You won't believe the gems she's got to share about setting boundaries, dealing with ego, and finding your happiness groove through connections. It's like a masterclass in relationship wisdom.

Nicki Krawczyk is revolutionizing online marketing with her approach of the Circuit Sales System. Toward the end of 2018 - after struggling in business for 6 years - Nicki created a sales and messaging system that provides all of the excitement and high conversions of live launching, without the stress. She also gained the scalability and predictability of an evergreen model minus the low conversions. With this system, she 40x-ed her business within two years.

Quit is not a dirty word.
Whitney Sullivan is a leadership coach, enneagram practitioner, keynote speaker, and team building. Her professional training and coaching business is designed to help rising leaders breakthrough barriers to thrive, help professionals increase purpose, peace, and performance at work and help teams thrive at work with more bravery, belonging, and ability to increase the bottom line.
After spending 10 years in higher education as a health and wellness instructor, Whitney experienced a significant shift during the pandemic. She faced unique challenges when her workplace crises coincided with the global crisis, prompting major professional and personal changes.
Whitney had always identified herself as someone who never quits and thought she needed to stick things out. However, the events of 2020 made her consider the possibility of quitting her job. Before seeking guidance from her sister, also a leadership coach, she wrote down what she was feeling: high fatigue, low morale, and feelings of discouragement and doubt. These emotions did not align with how she wanted to feel about her career. She left that call with her sister, realizing her attachment to the "I'm not a quitter" identity was hindering her.
In January 2021, she started her side hustle, and by October 2021, she transitioned to full-time in her business. The journey was not without its challenges, and a touch of culture shock. Throughout her process of transformation, Whitney discovered the three G's that helped maintain resilience and create a life she loves which is what she teaches today.

Wed, 24 May 2023 - 36min - 114 - Millionaire Morning Routine: Will the perfect morning routine make you more successful?
Morning routines are all the rage these days. Whether it’s the 5-9 before the 9-5 routines that have been going viral on Tiktok or the ever popular google searches for “how to be a morning person” or “how to force yourself to wake up early” or “how to wake up early, even if you’re not a morning person”.
Samantha and Meagan, two incredible women that I get to work with over at my company, Three Boudoir, challenged themselves to take on morning routines inspired by millionaires. They added in steps such as skincare, exercising, journaling, and meditation while putting off work related tasks until their typical clock-in time. This was all in an effort to be more productive, but that’s not necessarily what the results were.
You may actually be shocked by what Samantha and Meagan concluded during this challenge.
In this Episode, we chat about:
Are the benefits of waking up so early in the morning worth all the hype
Seasonality of early wakeups
If waking up earlier increases productivity, efficiency, and joy
The scientific research that highlights the benefits of being a night owl

Wed, 17 May 2023 - 36min - 113 - How to Become Rich: Investing for Beginners
Radical results require radical change. What are you willing to do to get what you want?
Ange Matthews created the life she has by investing. Investing can feel scary especially when you are just starting out, which is why I love Ange’s origin story.
I’m sure you can relate to this in some way. Ange was working 12 hours a day and not being paid for her time all while, as a recruiter, cutting checks that were much bigger than her own. She turned down a job at Goldman Sachs and began questioning if she made the right decision. One day, at her desk, while surrounded by the work she needed to be doing she googled “How to become rich”.
She found that all the advice was either learn to invest or become an entrepreneur, ideally both. AND don’t start investing until you’re debt free.
That last piece of advice didn’t sit well with Ange. She said that even if she paid off her debt, she’d still be at $0.00. Her debt was her past. What was she going to do in the present to make her future better? She did not want to stay at job just because the need for an income made it necessary. She didn’t want to have to live like that. As she said, it usually only takes one bad relationship to change your entire life. The relationship with her not-so-great job was the catalyst for major change in her life.
Ange began with no investment knowledge, and a fractured relationship with money that came from a place of lack. But boy did she change her story! Wait to you hear about her investment journey. Plus, you are going to love her heart - She makes money very joyful.
In this Episode, we chat about:
What to invest in for beginners
Should you invest when you have debt?
Overcoming fears in investing
Why Ange doesn’t use social media?!

This conversation was incredible. Jenn talks us through personal safety (and many other types of safety) and how we are responsible (and able) to enhance our safety for ourselves. We also dive into what got her to this point - it all started on 9/11 with fear and uncertainty entering Jenn’s life quickly and at full force. It was what came after that made the difference. Jenn journeyed through life saying yes to many different opportunities and running her own business.
Jenn is a mentor, coach, and public speaker on a mission to help women feel strong, safe, and powerful from the streets to the boardroom. In her book, The Art of Badassery: Unleash Your Mojo with Wisdom of the Dojo, Jenn uses the dojo as a metaphor for life. She teaches readers “how to flex their mental muscle, how to rise above fears, and how to turn setbacks into superpowers.
In this Episode, we chat about:
How your subconscious might be blocking you from getting what you want (and what to do about that!!)

It takes courage to build a business you believe in ... and not just do what everyone else is doing
Memberships 90% are lurking (just observing what is going on), 9% are moderate engagers, and 1% or less are super engagers. This stat can actually cause membership owners to want to do more and more to get more engagement.
Memberships actually don’t need to take that much time to love up and give value to. Lisa Pricinic is all about creating and running a money-making membership with 15 hours (or less) of work per week! Lisa’s mission is to help business owners build a business helps them do more of the work they do while expanding, and growing to live out their dream.

Does my website need a privacy policy? How to write a contract? What is a trademark? Is AI plagiarism?
These are just a few of the most searched legal questions when it comes to owning a business. Have you ever googled them?
As Sarah Waldbuesser was living as a digital nomad and working on building an online business, she was surrounded by others also building businesses.
And they had questions.
She started out at a law firm in Washington DC - and learned quickly this was not the path for her. She started looking for a way to live her life the way that she wanted.
In 2015, she really stepped in with Destination Legal.
She started as unfocused, trying to do legal and coaching. It wasn’t working. She was out of money and was brushing up her resume to start applying for 9-5s again.
She created new offers for only legal related services, and started seeing some success. It was like the universe was telling her to really go all in on this.

Wed, 29 Mar 2023 - 34min - 105 - The Power of a Belief Mindset
Miriam Shulman started in 2019 to write a book. Her goal was to write her book in 2019. She realized that your goal to write a book can always be there. You can always continue to write a book. She did some research and learned that for a traditionally published non-fiction book then you only need to write a proposal to get a contract.
So her goal for 2021 was to get a publishing contract. And she did just that.
I have to tell you, her book is truly amazing. I am in love with her ability to tell her story in such a good, powerful, and fun way.
Miriam and I discuss some amazing things in this episode. You are going to be as obsessed with her as I am. She has such a powerful story from how she left her career in hedge funds to building her creative career as an artist.

Wed, 22 Mar 2023 - 31min - 104 - How to Break Perfectionism and Avoid Burnout
At the time of leading up to this recording with Dr. Morgan Levy, I was going through an uncomfortable situation. I was working through it with meditation and leaning on others to help me navigate this time of discomfort.
But…
I was judging myself and having to pull myself back into the present moment.
That judgment feeds into perfectionism, which can lead to burnout.
Perfectionism: when we have too high of expectations for ourselves and others - standards that are impossible to meet.
Burnout: a chronic syndrome that we get from the burden of working too hard without any rest
You might already see how perfectionism could lead us into burnout!
Perfectionism can stick us into a loop of constantly trying to be better and do more because we are never meeting our own (way too high) expectations. This can lead to judging ourselves and sending us to a mental spiral that could be difficult to pull ourselves out of.
Dr. Morgan Levy is here to talk us through that mental spiral and how to combat our perfectionism through different techniques. (You are going to love her STOP technique.)
Morgan holds a PhD in Clinical Psychology. She is all about teaching high-achieving professionals the skills they need to optimize their work performance without sacrificing their lives outside of work!

What is perfectionism and burnout?
Spiraling and Judging ourselves
STOP technique, Journaling, and Mindfulness
The benefits of Mindfulness

She also helped us identify how to unlock things that were keeping us stuck and manifest what we wanted faster.
We'll break down how all of this works in this episode!

Hello! Welcome to the Right on Time Podcast!
I am chatting with Carol Zacharias, owner of Four Zen Bookkeeping. We are talking about her journey growing a business around money.
She started like so many of us do. Carol wanted freedom, and Covid-19 actually gave her the space to create it. She was a teacher that the pandemic really rocked. So she took a step back and asked herself “what can I do with the skill sets I have?”.
That is when he landed on bookkeeping. Her first bachelor’s degree was in accounting and she dove in.
Her strategy was where most of us begin: friends and family that grew into clients, which grew into hiring her first employee. She has amazing insight into growing her business and how you might do that too. Including the very necessary topic of how do you balance everything.
We also chat about kids and how it’s wonderful to get them involved – love that freedom as a parent. You’ll see some of the real real in this episode and it brings me so much joy. Can’t wait to see what you think…In this latest podcast episode, you’ll discover:

Welcome to the 2023 Season Kickoff of the Right on Time Podcast!
Happy 2023!
We are one month into this year and already I have slowed down, sped up, dialed back down and checking myself as I work toward my goals.
In this episode we are talking about goals. Did you know that 75% of people stick with their goals their first two weeks of the new year, but at one month in that number drops to 71%. At the six month mark? 46%!
I want you to know that you can be part of the 46%!
Identity is also a topic in this episode I am excited to discuss with you! We get to choose our identity! Which is great news when we are trying to create a life that is different from the one we currently have.
Maybe you’re not trying to make any huge changes. You’re happy where you are! Let me tell you, me too! I am happy in my life. However, I set goals for myself so that I can keep moving and keep that happiness that I feel (because we know the joy is really in the journey).
In this episode, I talk you through how I have explored different identities lately to see what fits me best so that I can get to where I want to go. I started at “business owner” for my identity then tried on a few others.
Then I layered in visualization to help me really get clear on what I want and have the space to do. I end this episode with a guided visualization/meditation to help you get clear and focused too.
Once you’ve listened (or watched on YouTube) be sure to leave me a comment either on the YouTube video or over on Instagram to let me know your thoughts, if this resonates with you, and if you gave the guided visualization a try!

One thing that I absolutely LOVE about the programs and experiences that I offer through ambermccue.com is that I’m able to work with other Modern CEOs, hear about what they’re doing, and share my own insights.
As people have been saying since the start of the pandemic, we are ALL in this together — and learning from the experiences of other Modern CEOs is absolutely crucial!
Which brings me to the latest episode of the Right on Time podcast.
This is the second of a 2-part reflection series looking back on the milestones, lessons learned, and strategic shifts of 2021. If you haven’t listened to Part 1 yet, I recommend checking it out here!
In the last episode, I shared the importance of flexibility and adaptability when it comes to setting your business goals and coming up with personalized KPIs that really help you track your progress along the way.
This episode is about the importance of being OPEN to new ways of thinking, doing, and working — whether they’re brought on by external factors or by our own bodies.
I talk about how I implemented focus groups and used client feedback to make changes to a program that I’ve offered for the past 8 years… and created a new, first-class experience for Modern CEOs.
I break down two case studies that demonstrate how 2021 shifted the way that I run BOTH of my businesses — and exactly why these changes made sense.
And I share a personal health discovery that has altered the way that I approach work altogether.
Yes, this episode gets a little personal… but I think it’s important that we share these kinds of experiences!
In my latest podcast episode, you’ll discover:

Thu, 27 Jan 2022 - 29min - 77 - Episode 66: A behind-the-scenes of my biggest shifts in 2021 (Part 1)
Since the start of 2022, I’ve spent some time reflecting on the last year… and I think I’m ready to share my thoughts.
Because let me tell you, my friend, there were a LOT of milestones and lessons to be learned in 2021 — and I know I’m not the only one who had to make some changes!
As Covid-19 surges continue to lead to lockdowns and restrictions in many areas, plenty of business owners have had to DRAMATICALLY shift their business models… or even come up with entirely new revenue streams.
But even apart from these huge shifts caused by the pandemic (which I definitely experienced with my boudoir photography business, Three Boudoir), 2021 threw Modern CEOs a few extra curveballs — including the iOS 14 update that made it harder than ever before to reach your audience through online ads.
(So if you were wondering why your campaigns last year didn’t perform as expected, you can blame Apple for that!)
As Modern CEOs, we need to be CLEAR on our goals — and this means knowing when to take a step back and change our game plan. We need to observe changes in the market and adapt our strategies, so that our businesses can continue to grow and flourish… and that’s exactly what I did.
In this 2-part behind-the-scenes series, I share the 2021 lessons and strategy shifts that changed the way that I do business — and how to set smart goals that will make 2022 your best year yet!

Thu, 06 Jan 2022 - 25min - 75 - Episode 64: Forget passive! Here’s why leveraged income is the real deal
This week’s episode of the Right on Time podcast is all about the benjamins!
My guest, Mel Abraham, is the best-selling author of The Entrepreneur's Solution: The Modern Millionaire's Path to More Profit, Fans & Freedom and the founder of Business Breakthrough Academy and Thoughtpreneur Academy.
If that weren’t impressive enough, Mel accomplished it all as a single, full-time father.
And it wasn’t easy!
After seeing a portrait drawn by his 6-year-old son which pictured him standing in front of two computer screens and talking into two phones, Mel knew that he had to make some serious changes… and find a balance between profits and presence.
Mel made a BIG shift in both the way that he worked and how his money worked for him, tapping into new types of income that required less of his time and energy — an approach that paid off in 2019 when he stepped away from his business to focus on his health after a cancer diagnosis.
Mel is now a leading expert in building affluence through entrepreneurship, creating more wealth with less sweat, and achieving peace of mind through financial liberation.
In this conversation, we dive into how to get money to work harder for you than you worked for it, how to build a business model around your book that’ll 10x its revenue, and why “freedom” shouldn’t be your #1 source of motivation as you build your business.
In my latest podcast episode, you’ll discover:

Thu, 16 Dec 2021 - 33min - 74 - Episode 63: Why You Need to Update Your Digital Marketing Strategy
What do math and marketing have in common?
They’re two superpowers belonging to my friend and client, Michelle Williams!
Michelle is a full-time math educator and entrepreneur who helps math teachers working with struggling learners create math intervention plans, close learning gaps, and increase student achievement through her membership, The IgnitED Teacher.
Inspired by the huge shifts in education that came up during the pandemic, Michelle launched her first online program in October of 2020.
Over the course of just ONE year, Michelle’s membership grew from 5 members... to 65!!
Michelle is creating big impact not only for her clients, but for their students as well. This amazing growth is due not only to Michelle’s program content, but to her digital marketing approach which focuses on growing her visibility and delivering MAJOR value to her audience.
Michelle isn’t afraid to try new things — from embedding video in her emails to sharing her expertise in Reels, she is constantly tweaking her strategy to deliver the best results.

Thu, 02 Dec 2021 - 42min - 73 - Episode 62: How to Reprogram Your Brain to Welcome Wealth
Are there things that you truly want to achieve in your life or in your business but, for some reason, you find yourself resistant to taking the actual steps needed to make them happen??
That resistance likely stems from limiting beliefs lurking deep within your brain — beliefs that you may have developed back in childhood.
Are you going to let the beliefs of a 4-year-old determine how you run your business?
I didn’t think so!
My guest for this week’s episode of the Right on Time podcast is here to break down where these thoughts come from, why we hold onto them… and how to replace them with something more constructive and nourishing.
Stephanie Synclair is a coach, consultant, and spiritual teacher. She is the host of The School of Quantum Living Podcast and author of Shut Up and Do the Work: The Entrepreneur’s Guide to Creating Massive Success. She also sells loose leaf tea under her La Rue 1680 brand — which has been featured on Oprah, The Today Show, The Drew Barrymore Show, and more!
WHEW!
Stephanie believes that wealth is sacred… and she LOVES working with women to help them achieve their biggest, baddest financial dreams while remaining in spiritual alignment. She helps her clients through ‘subconscious reprogramming’ — uncovering the limiting beliefs beneath the surface that shape the way we feel about money, success, and our own capabilities, and then healing them.
Mind. Blown.
This conversation goes deep into the science and philosophy of what keeps us from building wealth and success, and offers some incredible insights into how to heal your mindset around money and business.
You’ll definitely want to grab a pen and notebook before hitting play!
In my latest podcast episode, you’ll discover:

The strengths and strategies developed through coaching can be leveraged in MANY different areas of your life, not only with your clients, but with your family and team members.
I definitely use coaching strategies with my kids to help them adapt their behaviors and get a few steps closer to their goals!
The great thing about coaching skills is that they can be woven throughout so many of the things that we’re already doing in our businesses, especially as Modern CEOs. Thu, 04 Nov 2021 - 43min - 71 - Episode 60: Is Your Sales Funnel a Leaky Bucket?
You may not have trouble growing your mailing list… but how are you doing when it comes to keeping your audience (and keeping them engaged)?
Tamika Auwai is the fabulous CEO of Orisha Creative, a content marketing agency specializing in nurture marketing — and let me tell you, they are the EXPERTS in their niche!
Tamika works with coaches, mentors, and teachers to ensure their content creation is aligned with their nurturing goals and optimized to deliver a big impact.
What does this mean? It means they pre-sell more programs and book more clients, without having to churn out endless amounts of content.
Getting off the content creation treadmill? Um, yes please!
Tamika believes in purpose-driven nurture marketing — and Orisha Creative’s signature Nurture Matrix is designed to help entrepreneurs nail down their goals and messaging. That means that every piece of marketing they create is designed specifically to help them drive engagement (and build revenue)!
As business owners, we tend to spend a lot of time creating content for lead generation and less time working on nurturing our existing audience.
“When you are focused on the top of the funnel and focused on lead gen, and you don’t have anything intentional going on from a nurture perspective, you’re essentially creating a leaky bucket in your business,” Tamika explains.
Want to stop your warm prospects from falling right out of your leaky bucket — and instead lead them further along their buyer’s journey? You’re going to want to listen to the latest episode of the Right on Time podcast!

Did you know that the online course market has been exploding over the last few years?
More people than ever are open and eager to invest in learning from the comfort of their own couch — and smart business owners are learning how to create offers that can’t be ignored.
My guest for this episode is the incredible Gemma Bonham-Carter, who helps her clients simplify the heck out of growing an online course business and create email and funnel strategies for daaaaays!
Gemma has a ton of experience in creating digital programs, both live launches and evergreen offers — and she’s not shy about sharing what works… and what doesn’t.

Thu, 23 Sep 2021 - 41min - 65 - Episode 54: The First 3 Systems You Need to Implement to Scale
How do you set yourself up for growth and success from the very start of your business?
You have to learn to let go of a LOT of things!
(If you’ve already been in the game for a while, remember — you can have a fresh start any time you want!)
Online Business Manager extraordinaire Sarah Noked helps entrepreneurs and online service professionals plan and implement the systems that help them achieve (and exceed!) their goals.
I LOVE talking to Sarah, because as an OBM, she has some amazing insights into all aspects of growing a business online — from hiring to scaling to creating effective systems.
Our conversation was genuine, real, and we covered it alllll.
One thing Sarah shared that stood out to me is that many of her clients bump up against mindset challenges.
Even if you offer an amazing service and have an engaged audience, your mindset can still hold you back from taking the steps you need to take in order to scale with less stress.
“I find a lot of the time, my clients don’t really recognize the importance of having a manager in place to manage whole parts of systems in their business,” Sarah says. “I don’t know where I would be without my OBM on my team… I find people have a lot of money mindset issues, almost like ‘Am I deserving of this team member? Am I deserving to have a successfully scaled business that is supported by the right people in the right seats?’”
My friend, I’m here to tell you right now, you are 100% deserving of that business!
So, let’s get you on the road to growth!
In my latest podcast episode, you’ll discover:

Thu, 09 Sep 2021 - 28min - 63 - Minisode 10: Are your sales and marketing efforts missing this one thing?
Hey there, if you are selling something or have a change that you wanna create an impact with your community and with your audience, this is the Right On Time Minisode for you.
I learned about this philosophy and this principle back when I was working in organizational change management. This is the idea of what's in it for me?
When we are trying to create change in large groups or in organizations, one of the things we wanna think about is of course what is relevant and why do we want this change for the greater good, but also how does this change benefit individuals?
Hence, the name what's in it for me? We put ourselves in the position of the individual and we think through what is in it for that person. Why is this change that we're creating for the broader community good for the individual as well? The same thing applies when we are creating our sales and our marketing conversations.
We wanna put ourselves in the space of that individual. We wanna think like they're thinking, we wanna step into that person's shoes and we wanna think, what's in it for you? What's in it for me? What's in it for the person that we're speaking to? Because this is what matters.
Yes, we are tied to creating change for the broader community and for the greater good but we wanna tie it back to what is happening for the individual. Because it doesn't mean that the individual is only thinking about what's in it for me and only cares about themselves, though, when we're making rapid decisions every day our brain goes to space where we're thinking, how's this gonna work for me?
What's going to change for me? Why do I need this? Why do I want this?
We go through these quick assessments and when you can clearly communicate to someone, yes, what's in it for the greater good, but what's in it for you as an individual as well, we can make decisions much faster. And when we're thinking about why clients buy from you, this is a critical thing to think through.
Let me know if you resonate with this, what's in it for me strategy or what has also sometimes turned as the WIFM, W-I-F-M for a quick abbreviation to throw a little jargon in there. And assess your marketing materials, assess the way you are connecting with your audience.
Are you sharing enough about what is in it for the individual you are speaking to? Or are you thinking too high-level, too big picture?
If not, let's bring it down. Let's bring it back to what is good for the person you are speaking to, how you're serving them, how you're helping them, how you're helping them move past problems faster.
It's you're WIFM.

Mon, 14 Jun 2021 - 02min - 62 - Episode 52: 6 Things That Modern CEOs Just Do Differently
Do you consider yourself an entrepreneur or a modern CEO?
(No, this isn’t a trick question!)
Both entrepreneurs and modern CEOs are running their own businesses. Both entrepreneurs and modern CEOs are in positions of leadership over their teams. But there are a few important differences.
Modern CEOs are embracing a different way of leading and doing business. Some of them, you may already be doing. Some of them… just might take you by surprise!
Modern CEOs aren’t tied down to a specific location — they have the freedom to live and work from wherever they want.
Modern CEOs define what it means to win in their business.
Modern CEOs carve out time to see the big picture in their business… and zero in on exactly what they need to build on next in order to move their business forward.
Because, importantly, the modern CEO mindset is focused on growth and opportunity.
This means being able to look at a misstep or mistake and see it as a valuable lesson that you can use to drive growth. It means having a definite vision for what you want to create… but being agile enough to adapt to what’s going on in the market. It means being savvy about digital marketing so that you’re reaching your people where they are… with the messaging they need to hear. And this means knowing when to pull in the experts, rather than doing All The Things yourself.
And the best part is — no matter what stage you’re at in your business, from start-up to scale-up, you can elevate into the role of modern CEO.
In my latest podcast episode, you’ll discover:

Thu, 10 Jun 2021 - 20min - 61 - Episode 51: The Sad Truth About the 24/7 Hustle Movement
I have some real talk for you right now.
And it may sound far-fetched and you may feel just a little bit of resistance to hearing it, but here it comes: People making 10x more than you… aren’t working 10x harder.
I know that goes against the Instagram ‘Hustle’ mindset you’re so used to seeing. It goes against everything your parents said about working as hard as you can. It goes against the societal belief that you have to be actively working and busy all… the… time… in order to be deserving of wealth.
But it’s 100% true.
People making 10x more than you aren’t working 10x harder. And “busy” is not the badge of honor that everyone thinks it is.
All of the leaders and modern CEOs that I admire have time and space for themselves and the people they care about, because they build that space into their business. Vacations… evenings… maybe even a spa afternoon here or there.
And you can too.
There is a design that goes into leading and growing a business like yours, in a way that allows you to have financial success and time freedom.
Yes, you will still have moments of hustle — launch preparation, seasonal rushes, putting out the occasional fire. But your hustle should never be 24/7, no matter what those slick pink Insta posts tell you!
No-grinding, balance-creating, super-successful modern CEOs just do things differently — and we can learn a lot from their choices.
And guess what: you can learn three of their lessons right here, right now!

Thu, 03 Jun 2021 - 19min - 60 - Minisode 9: 5 Things to Do right now to go from scarcity mindset to abundance
Welcome to this Right On Time Minisode.
For this episode, where we are talking about some practices I am implementing right now around gratitude, and expanding my money mindset. Because, about a month ago, I recognized that I had some scarcity stuff coming up. We're experiencing growth in the business. Things are going well. We're reinvesting in the business, and I identified, still, some scarcity, some lacks, some reactions, when I was like, ooh, are we going to do that? Ah, ah, ah, I'm not sure.
So I picked up a book... Actually, first up, I implemented an approach, where I am writing down my goals for the year, every single day for 30 days, to see what comes up, to step into that, to remind my subconscious, and to reprogram my thoughts around the goals that I'm working towards in case there's any scarcity around that.
And there is, I can confirm. But I'm getting better. It's getting a little bit more comfortable, and I'm seeing the way forward a little bit more clearly every day.
The second thing I am doing every day is I am writing down 10 things I am grateful for and why.
This comes from a practice recommended in the book, "The Magic" by Rhonda Byrne. Actually, my hairstylist recommended it. She had it on her station, at her space, when I was getting my hair cut, and we just had a lovely conversation, and I mentioned something she's like, "Actually, I'm reading about it right now. Check this out."
So I immediately picked up the book. I'm really enjoying the gratitude practices that Rhonda recommends in the book. So I've been writing down, every day, for the last week, 10 things I am grateful for. And not just what I'm grateful for, but also the why. Why am I grateful for it?
I am grateful for great weather because it perks up my energy, I feel better all around, and I can be outside, right? One simple example. It's simple, the weather, great weather. Nothing big is happening there, but you can capture everything on these gratitude lists.
The second thing I am doing every day is I am recognizing, I have this in a place where I can see it and read it frequently, that the gift of health is keeping me alive. And interestingly, I had a little bit of a reaction to this one, like, yes, yes, it's true. The gift of health is keeping me alive, but I have chronic migraines that I'm dealing with. I've got a headache almost every day, not quite every day, and they're going down, they're going down, but it prompts nausea. It prompts all sorts of things for me. So reading this, I'm like, all right, I'm gonna read it because I am indeed grateful for the gift of health that is keeping me alive. And, I will take a little bit more of that. So we're gonna keep it going.
The other thing that I am doing every night, as a part of the recommendations in this book, to expand our capacity for abundance, and to increase our gratitude. And there, of course, all sorts of benefits for our health, for our life that comes with a gratitude practice, is at the end of each day, I'm holding a rock, and I am saying the thing I am most grateful for from the day. The thing that I'm most grateful for from the day, and just saying, thank you, thank you, thank you for whatever that thing may be.
And lastly, the thing that I am doing is, I wrote on a $100 bill, I wrote on and $100 bill, on this sticker. I didn't actually write on the $100 bill, that I am thankful for all of the money I have been given in my life. Not just that I'm receiving right now, but all the money I have ever received. I am thankful for that. And in the book, Rhonda prompts you to think through all the things that you are grateful for, or that you've ever received, right? That you are grateful for, like the shoes that I didn't have to buy when I was a kid, the house that I had over my head when I was a kid, the Mercury Grand Marquis, a very big car that my parents gave me to drive to school and back when I was a kid.
So what are all of those things that you've ever received that have money, that led to you having something, and being taken care of?
And it could be vacations, it could be necessities, it could be anything across the board, but all of the money I've been given in my life, I am thankful for. And I'm looking at that several times a day, 'cause this is just near me, by me, as I sit and work, and while we talk. And Rhonda actually recommended you put this on a $1 bill. That felt pretty comfortable. I didn't have a $1 bill. I happened to only have a 100 in my wallet. I sometimes keep a $100 bill in my wallet. And, so I put it on the hundred, and that made me feel a certain way.
Am I really news? Like, am really gonna leave this out. Should I use this for something? Do I need to use this for something? So, all sorts of questions came up that I just tucked aside, and I'm going with it. So, that is next to me. I wanted to share this with you today in this minisode, in case you have identified that you are coming up against some blocks, some scarcity, some limits, even if they are just in our head, right?
Around the abundance that is coming to you and the growth that you are experiencing, or will be experiencing in your business. Even just writing down my goals every day, which is where this journey started 15 days ago, has been expansive. I'm settling into that. And now I'm layering in these gratitude practices, and I'm finding all sorts of stuff is bubbling up.
So you've got to let me know if you try this, what comes up for you as well? Let me know, because business, growing a business, and growing in our life is strategic, and it is tactical, and there are specific things that we do to grow our businesses.
And, there are all sorts of other stuff that is coming with us as we grow the businesses that we picked up along the way in our life, that we picked up as kids, that we picked up in college, we picked up all of these ideas of what is and what should be. But part of what will happen as we are growing businesses, is we're gonna have to unpack some of that. We're gonna have to identify what doesn't serve us or support us in our growth and on our journey anymore, and we're gonna have to put some new practices in place. So, these are a few new practices to test out.
Check out "The Magic" if you are curious about the rest of the gratitude practices. I'm only a week or so in, and there are 30 days of gratitude practices that build in the book, "The Magic".
So, let me know if any of this resonates for you, or if you grab the book and you decide to go on this journey as well, because, my friend, we are in this together, and I'm so excited for everything you are creating.
You are Right On Time!

Thu, 20 May 2021 - 23min - 58 - Episode 49: Stop Chronic Reinvention, Go With Boring Instead
Are you feeling like you’ve hit a plateau in your journey to build and scale your business?
Are you wondering what secret sauce you need to discover in order to push through?
Then this is the Right on Time episode for you. (Warning: I just might blow your mind!)
Do you feel like you’ve already tried all the things without seeing the results you want? Do you feel like you’re too busy working in your business to work ON your business?
Believe me, I get it!
The problem actually starts with your best intentions.
We constantly learn about new techniques, approaches, and software that promise to make our businesses leaner, meaner, and more profitable. Yes, it’s EXHILARATING to imagine totally revamping our businesses and making them feel shiny and new. It’s exciting to come up with a dozen new offers that our clients are sure to fall in love with. And who isn’t thrilled by the idea of a total rebrand??
But this constant reinvention is part of the reason why so many Modern CEOs struggle to move forward.
Look — what works for Madonna doesn’t necessarily work for everyone!
And chronic reinvention has a lot of hidden downsides that can slow down your growth.
If you want to make the RIGHT changes to your business, you need to step back and understand the bigger picture — that’s an important part of your role as a Modern CEO. You need that bigger-picture clarity in order to implement the changes that will TRULY take your business where you want it to go, instead of quick fixes that don’t really move the needle.

Thu, 13 May 2021 - 20min - 57 - Episode 48: The Myth of the One-Size-Fits-All Golden Ticket
I am a huge fan of businesses (especially small ones!) that seek to do something different... and create something better.
One of the perks of running my online coaching business is that I can do it anywhere — over the past two years I’ve moved multiple times, including to Ethiopia!
But not every business has been able to handle the COVID-19 pandemic and lockdowns with ease.
Trust me, I know!
Say what you will about the pandemic, but it created a big opportunity (and often necessity) for businesses to really look at their models, processes, and systems... and turn them into something COMPLETELY different.
Over the past year, we’ve had to make a LOT of changes in the way we run our photography business, Three Boudoir. As you can imagine, boudoir photography during a pandemic looks VERY different, in terms of the process and logistics!
But we made it work.
While we had to completely shut down for four months, we actually GREW the business over the last eight. During our shutdown, we took time to make plans (you know I love planning!) about how we were going to come out of that shutdown stronger and fiercer than ever.
But while many of us have made amazing changes in our businesses, it hasn’t been all kittens and roses — many modern CEOs are feeling tired, stuck, and uncertain.
The fact is that there is no one simple solution or change that is GUARANTEED to give your business a pandemic glow-up.
There is no one-size-fits-all Golden Ticket.
But there ARE a few universal truths that, when embraced, can help you figure out the best solutions for growing and scaling YOUR unique, amazing business!
(Yes, even in a pandemic.)
Even if you’re just getting started today, you are right on time!

Thu, 29 Apr 2021 - 27min - 56 - Episode 47.5: Why Your Sales Stink (And How to Fix It)!
Does it ever seem like you’re just shouting into a marketplace full of a zillion people doing exactly what you’re doing?
Do you feel like your message is getting lost in all that noise?
Maybe… you need to lower your voice to a whisper.
That’s the advice given by my favorite sales guru, Colin Boyd, the creator of the Sell from Stage Academy and the author of the Sell With Story guide.
The trick? You have to whisper the right words into the right ears!
Here’s the thing: if you want your webinar (or any lead generation creation) to really resonate with your audience, you need to change what you talk about — and how you talk about it.
“What I realized was my course wasn’t the problem. It was how I was talking about my course. No one cares about my course, all they care about is their problems,” Colin says. “You shouldn’t obsess about your product. You have to obsess about the problem.”
Let me repeat that for the people in the back: no one cares about your course.
They only care about their problem.
So, that’s the hook you need to use to get them engaged. Figure out the right words, aim them at the right ears, and you’ll be practically printing money!
In the latest episode of the Right on Time podcast, Colin spills some pretty mind-blowing secrets about listening to what your audience REALLY wants and how to turn a run-of-the-mill webinar into a sales powerhouse through the magic of infusion selling.

If you’ve been following me for a while, you know much I value a great plan!
(That’s why I hold a Planathon every year!)
I’ve always considered intention to be a major aspect of any successful plan.
That’s why, each year, I set a new overarching intention for my life and business. I use that intention to guide the steps I take and to shape how I SHOW UP -- in business and life.

That’s why I asked my friend Missy Campbell to join me on the latest episode of the Right On Time Podcast.
Let me tell you -- Missy is a MASTER of manifesting and intention-setting.

Are you a naturally gifted public speaker?
If so, congratulations on your superpower! (And it IS a superpower, believe me!)
Speaking can be nervewracking for many people. (There’s a reason why public speaking is rated as the #1 phobia!). But it’s also an essential skill for anyone building an online business that includes webinars, masterminds, or video marketing.
And, what’s more, you need to master more than just the skill of public speaking.
You need to master speaking to SELL.
(That’s a WHOLE OTHER skill set!)
Learning how to speak in order to sell rather than just entertain can help you boost your webinar revenues from $5000 to $25,000... or even more!
Can you imagine how life changing that would be?
Luckily, I have a very good friend who is not only a GENIUS at speaking to sell, but has also developed a course designed to help ANYONE learn how to effectively build an incredible income through webinars and masterminds.
So, of COURSE I invited him onto the podcast!!
This week, I’m joined by the one and only Colin Boyd, the brains (and charm) behind the How to Speak and Sell on Virtual Stages program!
In my latest podcast episode, you’ll discover:

And we... are… BACK!
It’s been a minute since our last episode!
As you know, we are living in some (shall we say?) interesting times. And this has dramatically changed the way that a lot of us show up for our business -- me included!!
Quarantine can be crazy, my friends, especially when I’ve just moved into my sixth and final house of 2020!
I love adventure, but 2020 isn’t exactly what I had in mind. Looking back on the last few months has been a little bit of an eye-opener for me.
I’ve realized a few things about my productivity. Some of these things are obvious in hindsight, like the importance of having an office to myself (no more working from the kitchen table while the kids run around)!
But I’ve also been thinking a lot about how crucial the foundational aspects of my business are when it comes to keeping myself moving forward.
That’s right -- I’m talking about vision.
Your vision for your business is more than just a nice statement. Your vision should help guide the way that you show up for your clients and team. It should help guide you in deciding your next steps to take, or what you should be focusing on.
Let me put it this way: your vision is kind of a big deal!
In my latest podcast episode, you’ll discover:

Get excited, my friend -- we have made it to the third installment of our Modern CEO series!
In our previous episode, we talked about how to shift into a Modern CEO growth mindset. In the episode before that, I laid out the four phases of building a business -- and what you should be focusing on in each stage.
(If you haven’t listened to those episodes yet, I highly recommend that you do so!)
Now, I want to build on these ideas even further and focus on how to navigate each stage of business growth without falling into the most common pitfalls.
I like to call them the ‘red alerts’ or danger zones!
These red alerts vary from stage to stage, but they all have something in common: they can lead to overwhelm and self-doubt.
And they can lead to you getting ‘stuck’.
As a Modern CEO, you simply don’t have time to get derailed from your growth plan! So I’m here to help you identify these red alert moments -- and make your way through them with ease!

Running a business is ALL about adaptability.
I don’t just mean adapting to unforeseen major global events (hello, 2020!), but also adapting to the different stages of growth that a successful business will inevitably move through.
From start-up … to CEO-up.
In our last episode, I talked about what Modern CEOs should be focusing on throughout the four stages of business growth: Start-Up, Ramp-Up, Scale-Up, and CEO-Up.
Today, I want to talk about the MINDSET that we want to embrace at each of these stages, as we nurture our businesses from one level of growth to the next (and develop our amazing leadership skills)!
Just as we must have different areas of focus for each of these stages, we also need to shift our ways of thinking at each stage.
In this way, a Modern CEO mindset is more like a mind-GROWTH -- you need to be able to let go of past modes of thinking and embrace new ones.
After all, you’ll need to embody a different type of energy and be open to a different set of possibilities in the Start-Up stage than in the Scale-Up stage!
And I can’t wait to help you make that shift!
In my latest podcast episode, you’ll discover:
