YALO On Air –28 April 2024 Episode 26 Inspiration brought to you by WOAC on Air ________________________________________________________________ Topic: Navigating Young Adult Life as a Christian! 1 Peter 2.9 But you are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, His own special people, that you may proclaim the praises of Him who called you out of darkness into His marvelous light; 10who once were not a people but are now the people of God, who had not obtained mercy but now have obtained mercy. Ecclesiastes 11:9-10“Young people, enjoy your youth. Be happy while you are still young. Do what you want to do, and follow your hearts desire. But remember that God is going to judge you for whatever you do. Proverbs 14.12 There is a path before each person that seems right, but it ends in death. Proverbs 16.25 There is a way that appears to be right, but in the end it leads to death. Ecclesiastes 1 - Everything Has Its Time 1To everything there is a season,A time for every purpose under heaven: 2A time to be born, And a time to die; And so, “We must remember there are different seasons in our lives and let God do what He wants to do in each of those seasons.” as quoted by Ashley Evans Galatians 6:9 “Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.” Genesis 39. 1 Now Joseph had been taken down to Egypt. And Potiphar, an officer of Pharaoh, captain of the guard, an Egyptian, bought him from the Ishmaelites who had taken him down there. 2The Lord was with Joseph, and he was a successful man; and he was in the house of his master the Egyptian. 3And his master saw that the Lord was with him and that the Lord made all he did [a]to prosper in his hand. 4So Joseph found favor in his sight, and served him. Then he made him overseer of his house, and all that he had he put [b]under his authority. 5So it was, from the time that he had made him overseer of his house and all that he had, that the Lord blessed the Egyptian’s house for Joseph’s sake; and the blessing of the Lord was on all that he had in the house and in the field. 6Thus he left all that he had in Joseph’s [c]hand, and he did not know what he had except for the [d]bread which he ate. Esther 4.14 And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews. 14For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?” 15Then Esther told them to reply to Mordecai: 16“Go, gather all the Jews who are present in Shushan, and fast for me; neither eat nor drink for three days, night or day. My maids and I will fast likewise. And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!” As you embrace your Young Adult life these are the exposures you will be faced with: Developmental Tasks of Early Adulthood (https://open.maricopa.edu/devpsych/chapter/chapter-9-early- adulthood/) Ages 20-late 30’s - Havighurst (1972) describes some of the developmental tasks of young adults. “It’s a time where you focus on: Achieving autonomy: trying to establish oneself as an independent person with a life of one’s own Establishing identity: more firmly establishing likes, dislikes, preferences, and philosophies Developing emotional stability: becoming more stable emotionally which is considered a sign of maturing Establishing a career: deciding on and pursuing a career or at least an initial career direction and pursuing an education Finding intimacy: forming first close, long-term relationships Becoming part of a group or community: young adults may, for the first time, become involved with various groups in the community. WOAC On Air – 02 May 2024 Episode 94 Inspiration brought to you by WOAC on Air ___________________________________________________________________________ Topic: Thank You God for your Grace! Gal 1.3 Grace and peace to you from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ, 4who gave himself for our sins to rescue us from the present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father, 5to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen. Paul starts his writings and ends His writings with God’s grace be upon each of the readers - Romans, 1 Corinthians, 2 Corinthians, Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, Colossians, Thessalonians, 1 Timothy, 2 Timothy, Titus, Philemon, Hebrews Titus 1.4 “To Titus, mine own son after the common faith “Grace, mercy, and peace from God the Father, and the Lord Jesus Christ our savior.” We notice in all Paul’s writings whether he is talking to the church congregation or the leaders of the church or his support team he prays that God’s grace be upon as much as peace be upon them and he ends each writing with Grace be with you all Amen! This tells me that Grace is an essential virtue that Christians need in order to be successful now and forever more. How would you define the Grace of God Erika, Shinaaz Definition of Grace Miriam Webster dictionary A - : unmerited divine assistance given to humans for their regeneration or sanctification B - : a virtue coming from GodC - : a state of sanctification enjoyed through divine assistance Grace in Greek means “charis”: grace, kindnessOriginal Word: χάρις, ιτος, ἡTransliteration: charis - Phonetic Spelling: (khar'-ece)Usage: (a) grace, as a gift or blessing brought to man by Jesus Christ, (b) favor, (c) gratitude, thanks, (d) a favor, kindness. 5485 /xáris ("grace") answers directly to the Hebrew (OT) term 2580 /Kaná ("grace, extension-toward"). Both refer to God freely extending Himself (His favor, grace), reaching (inclining) to people because He is disposed to bless (be near) them. What are the 3 levels of God’s grace? A) Salvation - “Prevenient” - Jesus kindness went ahead and saved us while we were yet sinners he died for all humanity. He then presented the Gospel to restore sinners to righteousness.B) “Justification” - Jesus favour rests upon us - whereby he paid the penalty on our behalf therefore we have been justified just as if we have never sinned. We have been released from the penalty of sin. (Rev 12.10 for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. 11And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death. ) C) “Sanctification” - Holy Spirit extending the life of Jesus to us through anointing and God’s word which is light and life therefore thereby we are released from the power of sin. Now that we are saved, what does God grace mean to the born again believer?A) We need God’s grace so that we can do good works Jesus prepared or us to do 1 Cor 1.4I thank my God always concerning you for the grace of God which was given to you by Christ Jesus, 5that you were enriched in everything by Him in all utterance and all knowledge, 6even as the testimony of Christ was confirmed in you, 7so that you come short in no gift” Ephesians 2.8-9 For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, 9not of works, lest anyone should boast. 10For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them. B) God’s grace enables us to live as overcomers whilst fulfilling God’s call upon our lives 2 Thess 1.4 Paul is commending the Thessolonian church for their patience and perserving during challenging times “so that we ourselves boast of you among the churches of God for your patience and faith in all your persecutions and tribulations that you endure, 5which is manifest evidence of the righteous judgment

Gospel4You is a Gospel program made available through Nexus International Broadcasting Association - Monday evenings on Shortwave and Medium Wave reaching even over 200 million listeners. Our theme scripture is 1 Corinthians 1:24-31 - 24 but to those whom God has called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 For the foolishness of God is wiser than human wisdom, and the weakness of God is stronger than human strength. 26 Brothers and sisters, think of what you were when you were called. Not many of you were wise by human standards; not many were influential; not many were of noble birth. 27 But God chose the foolish things of the world to shame the wise; God chose the weak things of the world to shame the strong. 28 God chose the lowly things of this world and the despised things—and the things that are not—to nullify the things that are, 29 so that no one may boast before him. 30 It is because of him that you are in Christ Jesus, who has become for us wisdom from God—that is, our righteousness, holiness and redemption. 31 Therefore, as it is written: “Let the one who boasts boast in the Lord.”[a] Gospel4You features the essence of The Gospel John 3:16 in different languages - Latvian, Icelandic and Urdu as part of our heart to reach language groups around the world. John 3.14 14And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, 15that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life John 3.16For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. 17For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved. 18“He who believes in Him is not condemned; but he who does not believe is condemned already, because he has not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. 19And this is the condemnation, that the light has come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil. 20For everyone practicing evil hates the light and does not come to the light, lest his deeds should be exposed. 21But he who does the truth comes to the light, that his deeds may be clearly seen, that they have been done in God.” John 3.36 He who believes in the Son has everlasting life; and he who does not believe the Son shall not see life, but the wrath of God abides on him.” Author Rick Warren who wrote the book The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here for? “While it is wise to learn from experience, it is wiser to learn from the experiences of others.” “Without God, life has no purpose, and without purpose, life has no meaning. Without meaning, life has no significance or hope.” Here Jesus is talking to Martha, Lazarus who died His sister, and Jesus is telling her a mystery - John 11. Jesus said to her, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in Me, though he may die, he shall live. 26And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” 27She said to Him, “Yes, Lord, I believe that You are the Christ, the Son of God, who is to come into the world.” Psalm 14 1-3 The fool has said in his heart, “There is no God.”They are corrupt,They have done abominable works, There is none who does good. 2The LORD looks down from heaven upon the children of men, To see if there are any who understand, who seek God. 3They have all turned aside,They have together become corrupt; There is none who does good, No, not one. “You must begin with God.” (RW) John 15.“I am the true vine, and My Father is the vinedresser. 2Every branch in Me that does not bear fruit He [a]takes away; and every branch that bears fruit He prunes, that it may bear more fruit. 3You are already clean because of the word which I have spoken to you. 4Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. Author Rick Warren who wrote the book The Purpose Driven Life: What on Earth Am I Here for? “The way you see your life shapes your life.” “You discover your identity and purpose through a relationship with Jesus Christ.”“You cannot arrive at your life’s purpose by starting with a focus on yourself. You must begin with God, your Creator. You exist only because God wills that you exist. You were made by God and for God – and until you understand that, life will never make sense. YALO On Air –12 April 2024 Episode 24 Inspiration brought to you by WOAC on Air ________________________________________________________________ Topic: Knock Knock who’s there? Prov 16.2 All a person’s ways seem pure to them, but motives are weighed by the Lord. In pursuit of opportunities, marital partner, friendships, job etc know that satan is the deceiver he comes to deceive in your place of need / want. Therefore not every knock on your door is a God sent offer just because it meets your need. Satan offered Jesus food when he was hungry, but it was not Jesus time to eat! Knock Knock who’s there? Is this a faith, fear, greed, pride or appetite opportunity? Genesis 3.1 Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which the Lord God had made. And he said to the woman, “Has God indeed said, ‘You shall not eat of every tree of the garden’?” 2And the woman said to the serpent, “We may eat the fruit of the trees of the garden; 3but of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God has said, ‘You shall not eat it, nor shall you touch it, lest you die.’ ” 4Then the serpent said to the woman, “You will not surely die. 5For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.” 6So when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, that it was [a]pleasant to the eyes, and a tree desirable to make one wise, she took of its fruit and ate. She also gave to her husband with her, and he ate. 7Then the eyes of both of them were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together and made themselves [b]coverings. James 1.5 If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. And then your poor choices affects those around you, those in your business, those in your family. Eve made a wrong choice and swayed her husband to partake of her wrong choice and they both suffered the cursed life. Matthew 7.7 Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. 8For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. 9Or what man is there among you who, if his son asks for bread, will give him a stone? 10Or if he asks for a fish, will he give him a serpent? 11If you then, being evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask Him! 12Therefore, whatever you want men to do to you, do also to them, for this is the Law and the Prophets. Revelations 3. Here Jesus is addressing the The Lukewarm Church 14“And to the angel of the church [j]of the Laodiceans write, ‘These things says the Amen, the Faithful and True Witness, the Beginning of the creation of God: 15“I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I could wish you were cold or hot. 16So then, because you are lukewarm, and neither [k]cold nor hot, I will vomit you out of My mouth. 17Because you say, ‘I am rich, have become wealthy, and have need of nothing’—and do not know that you are wretched, miserable, poor, blind, and naked— 18I counsel you to buy from Me gold refined in the fire, that you may be rich; and white garments, that you may be clothed, that the shame of your nakedness may not be revealed; and anoint your eyes with eye salve, that you may see. 19As many as I love, I rebuke and chasten.[l] Therefore be [m]zealous and repent. 20Behold, I stand at the door and knock. Jesus’s Love is TranscendentRomans 8. 31What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us? 32He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him also freely give us all things? 33Who shall bring a charge against God’s elect? It is God who justifies. 34Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. 35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? 36As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; We are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” 37Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38For I am persuaded that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities nor powers, nor things present nor things to come, 39nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

WOAC On Air –04 April 2024 Episode 90 Inspiration brought to you by WOAC on Air ________________________________________________________________Topic: Addressing unforgiveness and wiping the slate clean Women of Africa Care Pty Ltd Forgiveness is a decision of the will not the (mind or emotions), meaning you must “will” to forgive. It is impossible to forgive in your “will” if you do not comprehend Jesus works on the cross of calvary. When you received Jesus Christ as Lord of your life you exchanged your life for His life, therefore you live in His righteousness, for no human is good and righteous except God. To live in His righteous requires you to embrace His ways on the earth, He was innocent without guilt and took on all human guilt and sickness on the cross. Therefore you have no choice but to forgive whether you are innocent or guilty from being persecuted. It is no longer you who live but Christ in you, therefore you must forgive all people irrespective of your emotions or thoughts of the persecutors. You need to recognise that forgiveness is an unconditional action. Just like love is unconditional so too is forgiveness.Whether innocent or guilty You are too forgive those who have trespassed against me, so that our Father can pardon you of your trespasses. Luke 6. 46But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? 47Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: 48He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was [j]founded on the rock. 49But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it [k]fell. And the ruin of that house was great.” What does forgiveness look like in practical application?" It’s a heart matter, and must be dealt with from a right heart. Forgiving with a wrong heart is deception of the heart. It must to be a heart attitude. Jeremiah 17.10 [ I, the Lord, search the heart, I test the mind, Even to give to each man according to his ways, According to the results of his deeds. Psalm 44.21 Would not God find this out? For He knows the secrets of the heart. The importance of discernment etc. 1 Corinthians 2:14 “The person without the Spirit does not accept the things that come from the Spirit of God but considers them foolishness, and cannot understand them because they are discerned only through the Spirit.” Hebrews 5:14 “But solid food is for the mature, who because of practice have their senses trained to discern good and evil.” Proverbs 28:2 “When a country is rebellious, it has many rulers, but a ruler with discernment and knowledge maintains order.” Deuteronomy 32:28-29 “They are a nation without sense, there is no discernment in them. 29 If only they were wise and would understand this and discern what their end will be!” What is discernment and how do we apply guard our hearts Romans 12:9 “Love must be sincere. Hate what is evil; cling to what is good.” Proverbs 14:8 “The wisdom of the prudent is to discern his way but the folly of fools is deceiving.” John 7:24 “Do not judge by appearances, but judge with right judgment.”Proverbs 1119:66 “Teach me good discernment and knowledge for I believe in your commandments.” Forgiveness starts with a decision to have a right heart towards God Self-awareness toward your heart state[Psalm 139.23-24 Search me, O God, and know my heart; Try me, and know my anxieties;24And see if there is any wicked way in me,And lead me in the way everlasting.] 1 Samuel 16.7But the Lord said to Samuel, “Do not look at his appearance or at the height of his stature, because I have rejected him; for God sees not as man sees, for man looks at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart.” Luke 6.27 “But I say to you who
