Jordan Crosby Lee (guitar and vocals) is a born again North Carolinian originally from Texas. His love of Texas music still runs deep, and his conversational songwriting style is redolent of Robert Earl Keen and Bruce Robison. North Carolina native Jodi Hildebran Lee (drums, harmonica, and vocals) brings a more traditional/bluesy country dressing to their sound. Her voice is bold, brilliant, and hair-raisingly beautiful. Their sound is uniquely their own, but if a comparison must be made, think Violent Femmes meets Johnny & June. They cover everything from their love for each other to the rueful life of a Sasquatch hunter. The lyrics are nuanced, funny, and purposeful. The duo’s first full-length album, "Songs for Butchie," is out now in three volumes. The album is named in honor of Jordan's late father, John Lee, who passed away on November 3, 2020, from a rare brain cancer. "Butchie" was undoubtedly the band's biggest fan, and his faith in Jordan and Jodi is what drove them to finally write and release this album. Melissa Clarke, Ph.D., of Americana Highways called their music on this album “witty and entertaining, even as the lyrics weave in serious topics to consider.” The Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs, known to their friends as Kendra and Zack Harding, began gig-swapping as solo artists in 2014. They bonded over these shared gigs, their common love of dogs, and an enthusiasm for hiking. They decided to tie the knot in the fall of 2015. The Brown Mountain Lightning Bugs officially formed in early 2016, and they’ve been bringing songs of joy, pain, and dogs to audiences ever since.Combining their unique backgrounds that range from classic rock to classical guitar, they create a blend of original music with deep roots in the past and a contemporary twist here and there.

Sensitive and rich harmonies weave through the tapestry of original compositions and carefully curated covers that celebrate the roots of southern American music. The crew enjoy performing as a full toms and mallets groove-infused band while staying true to the core artistry that is the songwriting quartet. Kurt Fortmeyer was born in a barn and raised in a stable environment, or so he might tell an unwitting listener in one of his sillier moments. Kurt has shared the stage with Grammy-winning songwriters Steve Leslie and R.L. Castleman. and Hall Of Fame songwriters Don Wayne and Jimmy Payne. He has opened shows for many artists including Livingston Taylor, Emmylou Harris, and Doyle Lawson & Quicksilver. As at home in front of a microphone as he is on a front porch, Kurt plays real music, by, for, and about real people.

Annie and Erin recorded their debut album, Bloodroot, in February 2019 in Swannanoa, NC with recording engineer and producer Matt Lohan. Rooster's first release was an eponymous collection of five original songs in 2017. Since then they have performed throughout Western North Carolina, creating both new songs and arrangements of beloved Americana. Annie and Erin thrive on the impact of powerful vocal harmony that blends into lush organic sounds like honey from the hive. In any configuration, the orchestrations are clean and uncluttered, but with a raw, gritty edge. They seem right at home in a wine bar, brew pub, honky-tonk or at a backyard barbecue. Rooster's Bloodroot made it onto WNCW's top 100 albums of 2020. Kris Hitchcock, the heartland troubadour, journeying from the rugged landscapes of Michigan to the vibrant streets of Nashville and New Orleans before settling in North Carolina. With his band, the SouthEnd Mistakes, Kris weaves tales of love, loss, and life's winding roads through raw, untamed melodies. Bursting onto the scene with five albums, Kris Hitchcock paints a vivid portrait of the rust belt's highs and lows, searching for love and purpose amidst blues-dripped heartland rock anthems. With a new self-produced record on the horizon, Kris and the SouthEnd Mistakes continue to captivate audiences with their high-energy performances and soul-stirring ballads, promising an unforgettable musical journey where every note strikes a chord and every lyric speaks to the heart.

The very next year, Stephen Evans & the True Grits released their first LP "Something to Bleed". Inspired to release more music, they followed two years later with their EP "Under the Bridge." Both records have received local and regional praise for their passion and creativity. Stephen's strong melodic songwriting style is a blend of vivid imagery, darkness, and hopeful optimism. There's no denying the feeling that shines through with his evocative vocals and lyrics. Songs like ‘Ghost Among the Trees’, 'The Garden', 'Cherokee Hills', 'Shining Star', and '1000 Roses' are beacons of his folk rock song craft. With radio play on Western North Carolina radio stations, as well as shows around the region, Stephen Evans & the True Grits are becoming a local favorite. "Buzz of Bees" is their latest album, released in December of 2022, of folk rock with some songs dipping their toes into other styles like Americana, Latin Folk, and Vaudeville. Singles from the LP, ‘Ghost Among the Trees’, ‘Winning the Day’, and ‘Estefania’, are already receiving radio play on local stations as well as national online radio and music podcasts. Look for Stephen Evans & the True Grits playing fun live shows all around the area to support this beautiful album. Born on the cusp of a decade, David C Warren grew up in a house filled with music. There were always records playing and a stash of 45s to plunder. By age thirteen, he bought an electric guitar and amp after a year or so of hopelessly trying to rock out on his dad’s nylon string classical guitar. He started writing his own songs, tentatively at first and then with greater confidence when he started college at FSU and had added new sounds to his sonic palette - REM, The Smiths, Violent Femmes - the music of the time that pricked his ears and powered his first band, Mean Season. A stab at making it as a professional musician in Atlanta didn’t pan out, but coming through that experience, Warren gained a wife (after he moved back to Florida to woo her) and a career. Music took a back seat for a while and those songs he’d crafted so carefully began their long, low simmer. Warren slowly made his way back to music, and the songs on this album. In the time since he picked up a guitar and strummed his first chords, he has spent the years burnishing his musicianship, honing his craft as a songwriter, and learning how to capture musical lightning in a digital bottle. He’s calling the end result “Song of the Sinner,” after a song on the record that introduces listeners to Warren’s own inner struggle that plateaus at hope, rather than victory.

Her voice is simultaneously angelic andrawly human, fiery and red-wine smooth. Her evocative and tender songwriting inviteslisteners to dive in quickly and deeply, piercing weary hearts and enshrouding them withthe fierce love and witnessing they desire and deserve. Her vulnerable, heartfelt lyricssoar through the air on the wings of her transcendent, soulful voice. A mental health professional for over a decade and a half, Ivy has been privy to thesacred inner worlds of thousands of souls (while navigating her own inner hallways, dark attics, and sun-lit living rooms). This rich interpersonal and intrapersonalexperience and her curiosity about the internal landscape saturates her songs. Shelongs for her music to be an oasis of healing and beauty, a call to deeper respect andcompassion for ourselves and for humanity, and also just some plain old fun for theears. As a solo artist, her shows are intimate, playful, and deep. And whenaccompanied by her band, her songs become even more layered and potent with thebackdrop of rich rhythms and moody, electric sounds. Ivy considers her music to be another facet of how she shows up in the world inauthentic and passionate service— both as a musician and as a therapist. She hopesher thoughtful, earthy, poetic songs will inspire others to look inside – light, shadows, and all – and come home to their deeply worthy selves. Counter is an original modern rock band hailing from Western NC featuring driving rhythms, lush vocal harmonies and in-your- face guitars in a sonic mixture of rock, metal, pop and punk.

Born in Asheville, NC, Jesse grew up learning and playing his favorite tunes by classic artists. By the age of 16, he was playing in various local bands. Frizsell has performed at the Warren Haynes Christmas Jam both with his band and more recently as a solo artist. He has opened for acts such as Bret Michaels (of Poison), Blackberry Smoke, Framing Hanley and shared the stage with Kevin Kinney (of Drivin’ N Cryin’) as well as Justin Biltonen (of 3 Doors Down). More recently, Jesse writes songs for the heartbroken, the working man and those ready and willing to unwind after a long day. He participates actively in the local Asheville music scene and regionally in the Southeast. You can find him most weekends playing as a member of The Western Carolina Writers, solo or with his bluegrass trio, Jesse Frizsell and the Riffers. Jesse has released a two song EP, “A Couple of Songs for Drinking”,in 2018, and a full length album “Rose Gold Renegades”, in 2019, both available for streaming or download on all major platforms. After a hiatus, Jay decided to venture out as a solo artist which cumulated in the release of his first solo album Dreams and Nightmares in 2014. Since then Jay has performed hundreds of shows and has released two more albums, 2017’s Wash Me and 2023’s The Gap Between. Jay’s music is a mix of rock styles and touches on genres such as modern rock, folk rock, alt-country, funk, and R&B. Singer-songwriter Michael C. Parris is from Millboro, N.C., most famous, perhaps, for where Daner Johnson taught Charlie Poole to play banjo. Michael’s grandfather, Red Parris, used to play with Daner in the late ’30s. Songs by Johnny Cash, Marty Robbins, Emmylou Harris, John Prine and Waylon Jennings were fixtures in his young life, and you can feel their influence in Michael’s music. Michael grew up in Randolph County, passing the time by hunting rabbit, priming tobacco, working in chicken houses, milking cows, playing basketball, listening to country music and running wild with his cousins. Later, he attended UNC-Greensboro and, in 2002, after joining the Peace Corps, he began writing songs while serving in Jamaica. One fine day in 2021, Michael got his big break when Todd Snider asked him to open for him in Charleston, S.C. Soon after Will Kayuk agreed to fund and produce Mi

Melissa Clarke, Ph.D., of Americana Highways called their music on this album “witty and entertaining, even as the lyrics weave in serious topics to consider.” They also just wrapped filming a commercial for a fancy ad agency, but they can’t talk about it until it comes out almost a year from now…but, they are super stoked about it. They also got a few songs into a sync library in 2022, so they've got their fingers crossed they might show up somewhere on your TV or computer soon...

Through eccentric lyrics and catchy melodies, Katie reveals an inner world that is brutally honest, deeply vulnerable, and highly relatable. Her appreciation of wide-ranging musical styles comes through in her work, and makes it hard to put a label on her. If influences were ingredients, they would include: a base of Billie Holiday, a dash of David Byrne, a pinch of Pixies, and a flavor of Feist. BRAGS:With a degree in creative writing, extensive national touring, and over 20 years of songwriting behind her, Katie is a seasoned performer who knows how to connect with her audience and make them cry, laugh, ponder, and fall silent. She has performed at iconic venues such as: Club Passim in Boston, MA, Hole in the Wall, Strangebrew and the Driskill Hotel in Austin, TX, and the Threadgill stage at Kerrville Folk Festival. Co-bills include the likes of Heather Maloney, Ley Line, Peter Tork (Of the Monkees) and trading songs around campfires with a then-unknown Adrianne Lenker (Big Thief.) Counting up all of my musical endeavors, I have written, recorded, produced, and released two full-length albums, two EPs, and 19 singles. The most recent being the “A Brief Cosmic Cinematic Experience” EP, where I wrote each song, played all the instruments, recorded and produced the whole thing; all from my one bedroom apartment’s living room. I’ve played shows all over the state, from Ashe County to Raleigh to Charlotte, fronted my own band and have even been signed by two small labels during this wild ride! Under the heavy influence of the masters such as The Beatles, Elvis , and many more modern artists like–fellow North Carolinian musicians–The Avett Brothers, I have crafted a new but uniquely nostalgic sound, that blends together my surroundings and experiences. My hope is that my music will resonate with people, that when someone listens to one of my little songs that I’ve recorded in my living room, huddled over my guitar and computer, that they feel something, or think about things that maybe they wouldn’t have ordinarily considered. So if you’re feeling like your ears need a good wiggle and your toes need a good tap, look me up, wherever you get your tunes, and maybe you’ll find what you’ve been itching for. An Original band out of Raleigh, NC, WhoIAre’s style is a blend of Psychedelic, Funk, Soul and Rock. Their latest release, “Paradox”, was mixed and mastered by Dwarf Star Studios (Carrboro)

Both intimate and ecstatic, smokey and scorching, her potent blend of blues, pop, and psychedelia has been turning heads for over a decade. Among the singer-songwriter’s many talents, it’s Montanez’s arresting voice that has captured a devoted fanbase. It comes as no surprise that her visceral 2013 EP “A Delightful Sadness” scored her a record contract and music video with Chance the Rapper on lead single “Out of Sight.” True to her strong sense of independence, Montanez subsequently opted to pursue her own uncompromising artistic vision. It took a pandemic worth of isolation and heartbreak to transform that raw power into the refined spectacle that is her first record in over a decade. Bolstered by the pristine production of Bill Karambelas and internationally acclaimed session musicians, her music is both transcendent and catchy, demonstrating the songwriter’s range and ability to transform deeply personal lyrics into searing and seductive rock. While conjuring vocalists like Amy Winehouse and Lauryn Hill, Montanez possesses her own unmistakable voice. Kelsey Montanez has been listed in the Chicago REDEYE as “15 artists to Watch" and celebrated in the Chicago Reader and Chicago Tribune. Montanez has headlined prominent Chicago venues such as the Metro, House of Blues, as well as festivals such as SXSW. Recently, Montanez was awarded the 2020 Magellan Musician in Residence at the historic Aqua Building.

The song is about my relationship to my grief losing them so young. It was hard growing up because there was no textbook for how to deal with this specific type of loss. I was put in a lot of general counseling but the only place I saw myself represented were characters like Sabrina, and Harry Potter. That’s why I wanted to write this song and share my story, because if it helps even one person, then it was worth opening up about. Long time artists, musicians and singer/songwriters, Peter Frizzante and Abby Amaya, initially met in New York City, but didn't start their indie-rock dreampop shoegaze band together until they moved to Asheville, North Carolina. Abby’s roots are in California 60s coastal pop, while Peter’s is post-punk, indie-rock. Working together, the now husband and wife team showcase their admiration for sun-soaked sonic landscapes, lo-fi lounge, neo-psychedelia, fuzzy guitars, jazz tones, and melodic pop structures. Reverb soaked and layered with soft whispery vocals, the result is an energetic and memorable reverie. Peter, the morning person, and Abby, the night owl -- their band name is a nod to their opposite sleep schedules. The pair is often writing music or lyrics at home in between work and daily chores, finding inspiration in the human condition and the pain and joy of life. The band has played with many different local drummers (Jake Cavinder, Matt Hendler, Mike Fasano) and bass players (Marcos Waldheim, Erik Jan, Lowell Hobbs, Matt Tobia, Daniel Hyman). Their first single, Nocturnal Creatures, was recorded at El Rancho Morbido Studios with Ryan Slagle (Black Mountain, NC) and debuted in July 2018. This was soon followed by their first full length album, “With Every Breath You Die” in February 2019, recorded at Standard Electric Studios with Engineer Damon Moon & mastered by Greg Hendler in Atlanta. They went back to the studio in July of 2019 to record a handful of tracks at Echo Mountain Studios (Asheville, NC). The singles were engineered by Kenny Harrington, mastered by Jason NeSmith of Chase Park Transduction Studios (Athens, GA) & Geoff Pesche of world renowned Abbey Road Studios (London). After canceling most shows booked for the last two years, the band has stayed busy indoors with numerous live streams & shooting music videos. They’ve had singles featured on several compilations: Green Witch Records (NYC), Sunday Records (Chicago), Stereoactive Media (Austin/Brooklyn), Shoegaze Pilipinas (Philippines), Holy Crap Records (Black Mountain, NC), Editoris (Panama), OIM Records (Oakland, CA), Bummer Recordings (Chattanooga, TN), and Shiny Happy Records (Indonesia). In 2021, they signed with Lilystars Records (ADA, Warner Music Group), owned by Clementine Castro (Oranges & Lemons, The Camerawalls). The band issued several singles: Rabbit Hole, Separation Anxiety, and a remix of Cabin Fever by indie-electropop legends, Sweet Trip. Their second album, "The Art of Remembering" (mixed & mastered by Chrisanthony Kryptoneum Vinzons), released in February 2022, followed by a bout of live shows. Day & Dream is an official 2022 SXSW artist. Please stay tuned for live show updates. Canadian born but raised in Ireland, Cormac Russell has take

To tell that story, we must first roll back the clock to 2006. Tyler is 21 and sitting in a doctor’s office after having noticed that his peripheral vision had been giving him some trouble during a college game of ultimate frisbee. The news comes like a tidal wave when the doctor says, “You’re slowly going blind. You have RP. There’s no known cure.” But it’s not in Ty’s nature to be held down. So he pivots. He picks up a guitar for the first time and begins playing o bsessively. Then singing. Then writing. He can no longer teach high school math, so he puts together a local blues-rock band in his small North Carolina town and begins playing full-time. Over the next several years, his musical chops get sharper as his vision slowly but surely continues to betray him. “It felt like a race against time.” That Emma would end up singing for her supper was far less uncertain. She teaches herself how to wail and belt just like all the country greats as a little girl growing up in the heart of Texas. But this is just the beginning. As life goes on, from church choir to classical opera, musicals and fronting an alternative pop-rock band, she sees a lot of different audiences for a lot of different reasons, but one thing remains the same: how much she loves singing for every one of them. “Throughout my lifelong struggle with depression, and for all of life’s celebrations, music is my source of purpose. It’s my calling. It has always been what pulls me and pushes me when nothing else can.” Fast forward to 2014. Emma meets Tyler for the first time at a “jam session” and they immediately hit it off as friends. She begins opening up for his band at local gigs, meanwhile spending hours offstage with him, writing and bonding over late night milkshakes and rural dive bar booths. Over time this bonding leads to the realization that each makes the other better in life and music. Tyler’s steady, funny and loving personality give Emma the confidence to believe in herself and to continue chasing her passion, while Emma’s spontaneous and sentimental nature provide Tyler with a ceaseless supply of inspiration and motivation. In 2018, under a giant oak tree, they make their union official in a beautiful late summer ceremony. In January of 2020, six years after they met and hundreds of live shows later, “The Ghosts of Liberty,” their first child, was born. The name hails from a mutual fascination with the paranormal- (Emma believes, Tyler is a skeptic, but alas we digress) as well as a deep love for all things historic- and the abiding belief that all people are deserving of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness. ________________________________________ From the heartland of America, Mike Walsh has been playing music in Iowa and the midwest for some time now and has been a

Over the years Lang’s professional work included teaching in the Japanese school system, managing an English as a Second Language program for immigrants, and providing mental health services at a major university. “All that getting around, including all the difficulties that came with it, helped me understand myself and others better, which has made me a better songwriter than I was in my twenties,” Lang comments. “Mostly, it’s opened my eyes to the resilience people demonstrate in getting through their lives. I want my compassion and respect for that to come through in my songs.” Lang returned to music-making in 2017, releasing his debut album Welcome To Yesterday, which South Carolina Music Writer Kevin Oliver hailed as “evocative storytelling at its finest.” The Post & Courier Free times included Welcome to Yesterday on its “But What About THIS Album” list in their Best South Carolina Music 2019 edition. “Songs about something that seems like nothing but feels like everything” is how Lang describes She’s My Memory, set for release in June 2022. Exemplifying Lang’s comment “There’s always a story,” the album’s title track tells of a man with Alzheimer’s who glimpses his life through anecdotes of humble but defining marital moments told by his wife. The Bugs have played extensively throughout the Southeast, including performances in The Crown at the Carolina Theatre, The Grey Eagle’s Patio Show Series, Ol’ Front Porch Music Festival, and at Awendaw Green. They completed their first cross-country tour in early 2020, before going on a virus-mandated hiatus for a couple months. Their sophomore album Folk(ish) came out on April 9, 2021. Originally from Philadelphia, Cosette Gobat has devoted her entire life to music. A songwriting talent from a very young age, her career took off upon the signing of a record deal with Decapolis Records at age 14. She began touring the East Coast in high school, a move that projected her reach even further. Writing music for documentaries and playing festivals with big artists such as Sheryl Crow, Cosette was signed to another label, KBM Productions, with the release of an electronic EP called ‘Blindside’. After performing on ABC in 2015, she took her career into a different direction studying at Temple University and working as a mastering engineer under Michael Jackson’s ex-producer at Arctic Records in Philadelphia. The release of her debut album ‘Couteau’ in 2020 offered an introduction of her wide- range artistic ability and knowledge, a well-produced blend of folk, classical, and dream pop. Cosette’s music is described as an honest soundscape with poetic lyrics and drowned reverb, evoking a scenery into nostalgia and a sonic dimension.

There are many different species of the Music Artist. Various combinations of singers, songwriters and entertainers. But it’s the ones that wear their art that get to us the most. The ones that don’t know how not to tell the truth in their music and reveal the raw and ragged triumphs that in the end are more beautiful because of the honesty of the struggle. These are the Artists that get in our bones and shake loose our demons by slaying their own with chords and words. Artists like Johnny Cash, Janis Joplin…and Stevie Tombstone." Outlaw Magazine After a chance meeting with Roy Acuff, Stevie (then a young man) was certain he would always be a musician. Georgia born relation of the legendary fiddler, Clayton McMichen, Stevie immersed himself in the world of rock and the underground music scene of the 80s in Atlanta, but never lost the twang of his childhood. Almost three decades later he has become an accomplished performer, songwriter and guitarist, as well as an integral the Atlanta and Austin Music Scenes at various points in time. He now hangs his hat in Western North Carolina. In addition to his published works with his 1980s swampabilly band, The Tombstones, Stevie has released five solo albums and half a dozen music videos. The Tombstones song, Nobody, became a college radio anthem. The roots punk song about the Carolina Lights and was later recorded by rock icon Stiv Bator. Tombstone's debut full length release, 730 AM, featured performances by members of Wilco, Jason and the Scorchers, The Bad Livers, and The Georgia Satellites, and offered tracks that peaked on the Satellite Radio charts. After several comps and EPs, his 2011 release, Greenwood, reintroduced Stevie to Americana and folk listeners with the autobiographical tale of his journey to Greenwood to mark the grave of then un-honored Robert Johnson. Over the years, Tombstone’s bandmates and co-conspirators have been a veritable who's who of underground and nationally recognized players. Priding himself in his ability to cross genres, he has also had the honor of sharing the bill with the likes of Leon Russell, The Stray Cats, Greg Allman, Willie Nelson, Drive By Truckers, Kevn Kinney, Johnny Bush, and The Ramones. In addition to producing and writing for other artists, Stevie still performs over two hundred nights a year, enjoying a grassroots following that's kept him on the trail for the last three decades. His latest release, Raised on Roots a compilation of singles and EPs, is available now and enjoying growing airplay.

Hornsby's work is influenced by psychedelia, folk, eastern music, American primitivism, avant-garde, and sound healing. He recorded his first original music in the summer of 2015 on his laptop. This demo incorporated acoustic and electric guitars, banjo, synthesizers, vocals, and samples. In Autumn of 2016, Hornsby released his first album Solipsism & the Nectar of the Gods. This album included reworked versions of songs from his demo as well as new material. In 2018, Hornsby released Legend of the Unconscious Enigma as a follow up to his previous album. In contrast to his debut, he transitioned to a more organic sound without the use of synthesizers and electric guitar. He began experimenting with acoustic guitar in open tunings as well as more complex overdubs. In the Spring of 2019, Hornsby went on a solo trip to northern India. He purchased a guitar in Delhi and began writing new material in the Himalayas. When he returned to the United States, he perfected these songs and composed the remainder of the material on what would become Teetering on the Edge of the Void. Teetering On the Edge of the Void was Hornsby's first professional album. It was recorded in late 2019 to analog tape in a studio in Nashville, Tennessee. The result was a psychedelic world folk album tinged with heavy Indian influence and orchestrated segments. Released in June, 2020, this acclaimed album was his most ambitious to date. It became the final album in his conceptual trilogy and was self released on vinyl. Less than a year later, Hornsby released his first professional instrumental album. Dogwood Dance was recorded in Asheville, NC and exemplifies his advanced guitar style that has been compared to artists akin to John Fahey. The Australian record label Ramble Records funded its release on vinyl. Both of his most recent albums have gained attention worldwide and have been positively reviewed on blogs, as well as airplay. Sullivan Smith & Stray Lions is a pop group or musical dance craze from Roanoke, VA. Started in 2019 as a bedroom project, Sullivan soon found a revolving door of musicians to back with live gigs and some recording. In other words... "Just a songwriter and a makeshift band."

The Collect Pond is the name under which singer-songwriter Danny Moffat produces and self-releases his own music. The Collect Pond is named after a geographical location in New York, NY where The Collect Pond started. Moffat chose the name “The Collect Pond” for his own music since the imagery of an oasis in the city seemed fitting, as recording and self-expression offered a similar kind of respite, a way to cope with the tenseness that permeates New York life. Also, a “Collect Pond” creates a co-existing mix of species in one ecosystem, or musically speaking, a myriad of influences and styles under one name.

His albums Life After Rock N Roll (2017 Full Bloom Records) and The Midnight Strain (2018 Full Bloom Records) have been hailed by music publications and played on radio stations in the US, Canada, Germany, Italy, Spain, the Netherlands and Australia. Matt’s sound is a clever blend of numerous styles of the music that have influenced him since his youth - early electric and country Blues, Rock N Roll, Rockabilly, Soul, R&B, Country, Bluegrass, Jazz and Psychedelia. His focus on making all original music by combining the influences that inspired him, along with his own ideas, have produced an exciting blend of many genres without rules or limitations. His exposure to music came first came from his mother through her love of Motown. When Matt was 9 years old, she took him to a Prince concert and afterwards, he knew he wanted to be a musician. His musical education began with his late uncle who turned him onto a record collection that included early 1950’s electric Blues and 1960's Rock which inspired Matt to play guitar. When he was 13, Matt got a knock off electric guitar for $25 at a flea market and set out to learn the instrument. He furthered his musical education when he began absorbing the music on old record labels, notably Chess, Sun and Stax . Less than a decade later, he began performing in clubs and in the years to follow, he established himself as a highly regarded musician in the Blues world with his first release, Hard Luck (2007), as one of the few artists in the genre capable of writing relevant original material without relying on any cover songs from the past. The album got rave reviews in multiple music publications, radio play on stations around the world and a featured spot on XM 74 Satellite Radio as a 'Pick to Click'. Around this time Matt joined Bob Margolin (guitarist for Muddy Waters 1973-1980) and performed with some of his heroes, legendary artists like Howlin’ Wolf's guitarist Hubert Sumlin and members of Muddy Water's band, Pinetop Perkins and Willie "Big Eyes" Smith. While he was looking for a new direction to expand his music, Matt started working with drummer Austin Hicks after they met on Craigslist in 2013. They formed the drum-guitar duo, the Low Counts and branded themselves as, "Blue Collar Rock-N-Roll". They turned heads, made dedicated fans and blew audiences away with their no frills, high energy stage show. Their ride was cut short on March 8th 2017 when Austin passed away unexpectedly. Matt wrote 27 songs that the duo released over three albums in the four short years they were together (The Low Counts 2014 Real Original Records, Unsettled Days 2015 Grimtale Records, Years Pass By 2015 Real Original Records) Matt released his firs

They create a full sound, weaving guitar parts with strong male/female harmonies and writing songs of both a playful and serious nature. The occasional use of a trumpet brings an element of jazz to the arrangements, and the difference in the two songwriters adds depth and variety to their sound. The duo met at Northern Michigan University where Erin was studying art and sculpture while Lee studied music theory and performance. almost a decade later they formed Aunt Vicki and have performed at Bliss Fest in northern Michigan, 3 Muses in New Orleans, Old Miami in Detroit, Several clubs in Manhattan/Brooklyn, Portland Maine, and many other places along the way. Pressley Pardue is a 21 year old singer-songwriter who writes music that she can only describe as "gloomy indie folk-pop". Originally from Swannanoa, she began writing songs when she was 11 years old and started dragging her family with her to open mics throughout Asheville. At 14, she moved to Centreville, Virginia where she still currently resides; writing and recording songs from her bedroom. Her subjects range from introspection and heartbreak, all the way to protest music. With her songs, she tries to bring attention to the things we try to hide from; encouraging you to look further into yourself as well as the world around you. Pulling inspiration from Taylor Swift and Phil Ochs, she marries pop melodies with indie-folk lyrics and instrumentation. As of November 2021, she has released one EP, five singles, and one protest album.

The group is known for their marriage of EDM, Pop and Punk influences as well as their fans base who seem to hold an incurable obsession with unicorns. Releasing their first label debut in 2005, the group quickly gained notoriety on the various Sony/BMG imprints they inhabited. Their second album, Galactic Conquest, cemented them as a staple of pop rock in Asia resulting in chart success and extensive touring in Japan. Their signature brand of "neon-punk" garnered them comparisons to Motion City Soundtrack, The Faint, and Cobra Starship. After a slew of other releases they officially disbanded in 2014, only to re-emerge with their own label, podcast and comeback album titled Rad Science. In 2012 they released their most popular album to date, Attack of The Mountain Medley. The release was an attempt by the band to channel the country and folk music they grew up with, and take a break from the loud electronics and theatrics of their previous releases. The album now sits at over 6 million streams, and contains the group's most popular track, "Appalachian Wine". Now almost 10 years later, Eleventy is reviving the Mountain Medley series with a new EP titled Revenge of the Mountain Medley. A temporary departure from the synth-heavy dance tracks that make up most of their discography, the band is once again taking a detox from their synthetic glitz and revisiting stories and folk narratives from their life in the south. McKenzie Van Oss is an indie rock/pop musician and a soloist ballerina with the Carolina Ballet in Raleigh, North Carolina. Van Oss was born and raised in Green Bay, Wisconsin where she was classically trained in piano, guitar, and drums, before making her way outside Boston to finish high school at Walnut Hill School for the Arts, concentrating on pursuing her ballet career. Van Oss found her way in Raleigh following graduation to join the Carolina Ballet, where she was promoted to soloist in 2021. She started her music career over quarantine in 2020 by recording with her brother Robby Van Oss of the Phony Santas in their childhood basement. Since then she has released 4 singles, a music video using dancers from the Carolina Ballet, and has played throughout Raleigh, her most recent show being on the stage of The PourHouse Record and Music Shop. Van Oss is currently working on an album surrounding her most recent single "Stereo to Heaven" with musicians around the Triangle and plans to release it by the end of next year.

Meeting in Boone, North Carolina, Unaka Prong borrows their name from a mountain range in western North Carolina. With their fourth and newest release, Kudzu, Unaka Prong continues to produce their unique blend of instrumental jazz fusion and alternative rock. Now based in Durham, NC, they've played across the southeast over the last few years, supporting bands like TAUK, Moon Taxi, and Dumpstaphunk.

His musical palette falls between the lines of indie folk, singer-songwriter and Americana. Fans of Gregory Alan Isakov, Iron and Wine and Jason Isbell, will feel comfortable here. His lyrics are a healing balm from the daily struggle as they wash over you with a deep reverence. After the passing of his father, ending up homeless and being broken up with all within one month, Kristian began writing songs in the summer of 2010, as a way to start processing all he'd been through and begin the healing process. From 2010 until 2016 Kristian went under the moniker Ramblin' Pan. This project was an Alt Country, Folk sound that was heavily influenced by Ryan Adams, Mumford and Sons, and Johnny Cash. He released 1 EP, "A Prodigals Tale" and 1 self titled LP under the moniker. He also went on several national tours in various coffee shops and venues across the USA. In the summer of 2016, Kristian decided to take a break from music after years of constant touring and some deeply traumatic family experiences. In 2019, Kristian had several life changes; including moving to Asheville,NC, getting married, and working through the healing process of the traumatic family events he experienced before his break in 2016. The new album is a concept record based on the 4 seasons Spring, Summer, Fall and Winter. The plot is a love story that starts in Spring and weaves through the other seasons leading to a breakup in the Winter. There are 12 songs, 3 for each season and Kristian is currently releasing 1 song a month for the next year starting in March 2021. Kristian wrote this album in 7 days, to process a relationship that had ended. Although it ends as a sad story, it's a story that will resonate with many others and hopefully can be a healing balm of hope. There are a lot of exciting things happening each month this year, so you don’t want to miss anything! Make sure to join the email list to follow along in the journey. After eighteen months of meticulous crafting, Across The Sea are set to unveil their much-anticipated second album The Wayfarer Triptych, scheduled for release on 1st October. A nine-track concept piece, the album narrates an original story penned by the band themselves, marrying fantasy and folklore, fairytale and philosophy, to present a stirring tale of drama, adventure and mystery. An artistic Endeavour near-cinematic in its scope and ambition, The Wayfarer Triptych sees the genre-defying progressive duo push every aspect of their signature sound to the extreme in order to create an immense work of astonishing musicality, vivid storytelling, dizzying virtuosity, and staggering emotional resonance. Hailing from Worthing on the West Sussex coast in the south of England, Across The Sea sound unlike any act you’ve heard before. Evocative,

Will’s album, Carolina Home, will take you on a journey from growing up to love lost and found, working hard while finding peace in the everyday, always culminating on the winding road leading home. Press Will Easter has one of those voices that is like a home-cooked meal for the soul. Maybe it’s a bit rough around the edges, but that’s what makes it so believable, so relatable, so impactful. Will has the cool throwback rock edge of Tom Petty with the modern folk-Americana appeal of the Avett Brothers, but with something hard to put your finger on that could only be born out of the shadows and peaks of the North Carolina mountains. One iteration through a chorus and you’ll find yourself humming along, by the second time around you’ll be singing out loud, ready to hit the repeat button. Having said all that, where Will greatly excels is as a songwriter; he has a knack for capturing the reality of the human condition – the ugly and the beautiful, the mundane and the profound – and drawing meaning from those experiences. Will was hard at it during the pandemic, releasing a self-titled sophomore album of original songs earlier this year. This album is a true millennial coming-of-age masterwork – a stroke of genius to anybody who has grown up in rural America and experienced the inevitable hard knocks of love and life. Will invites the listener to share in his journey – through the lessons learned from the mistakes of “childhood living” to facing the reality of figuring out how to make your way in the world. Sure, the passage into maturity is one tinged with bittersweet nostalgia, but Will’s outlook is one of hopeful expectancy. Will is admittedly not one for clichés – but if he’ll allow me this one: it’s not about the destination, but the journey – enjoying the time traveling down that ever-flowing river that is life. That’s the metaphor that is so gracefully interwoven throughout this album. -Jones House Culture and Community Center Iris Marlowe is a singer-songwriter from Chicago, IL. Their sound invites comparisons to all-female folk groups like I’m With Her, but draws more influence from pop than bluegrass or old time. The band formed in 2014, when all members were in their mid-to-late 20s. Despite what felt like a late start in music, Honey Magpie pursued performing and recording wholeheartedly. They gained early success in the Triangle when they won the band contest at the Shakori Hills Grassroots Festival in 2015. They released their debut album Honey Magpie in 2017, and have since been featured in the Oak City Sessions video series and on WUNC’s The State of Things. Their single “Undecided” premiered on Pop Matters in January 2020. Their second album Midnight Morning draws from a richer range of musical influences and boasts a higher production level than Honey Magpie. Listeners will recognize elements of 90s rock, 60s pop, country, and femme-fronted indie pop, supported by a full rhythm section of bass, drums, guitar, and keys. Anyone experiencing a “quarter-life crisis" will relate to the album’s mix of joy, angst, and reflection on life, and fans of all ages will love the new depth in the band’s sound.

After several comps and EPs, his 2011 release, Greenwood, reintroduced Stevie to Americana and folk listeners with the autobiographical tale of his journey to Greenwood to mark the grave of then unhonored Robert Johnson.
