  • 14 - #11 Contact Casting Directors like a professional

Have the confidence to contact casting directors like a professional.

No one wants to sound like an amateur, especially when you're talking to the person who might be able to give you a job. We know that casting directors are busy people, under a lot of pressure, so what can we do to make their life a little easier? In my opinion, it's getting straight to the point.

Once you've established a relationship with them, then you can be more personable, but until then, don't waste a minute of their time.

    Tell them:

Why you’re contacting them Roughly where you’re based and availability Offer to self-tape or meet Your contact details

    Important Links & Mentions

Here's a link to the email templates which includes a Formal template, an informal template, and a casual template. I’d use these as a guide to find the right tone for you and your voice. It needs to sound like you’ve written it. Here's a link to the Free Workshop showing you the most route to getting an agent and becoming a professional.
