Top shelf music has been on the air since 2001 and is presented on the last Sunday each month, by one of the stations Life Members, Duncan Smith. Duncan plays three tracks from six new and recent albums from a wide variety of genres. Duncan will play you the “best music on the planet,” keeping you up to date with the latest albums, artists and news. In addition, his regular “Time Out” segment features lost tracks from the past. “So much music, so little time.”

The Monday Morning Show is hosted by Ben Van der Linden, who returns to the airwaves of 89 7FM after a few months away. The show provides that vital community platform each week for all the arts, new music, community chat, interesting interviews and much more. Just Junior Sport is on air every Friday night and focuses on junior sport competitions for the 6 to 18 age range. The program offers local sporting clubs, groups and associations the opportunity to promote news, results and previews about their junior sports and players, as well as the latest club news about those who help make junior sport happen. Just Junior Sport is the only community radio sports program dedicated to juniors in the Northern Suburbs of Perth.

Join Mark Pisarskis every Friday morning to find out all you need to know for the weekend ahead. News, sport, weather, films, local music, entertainment, and the best music of all time will ensure that every Friday morning is the best on 89 7FM. During school terms, Mark will share the hosting responsibilities with the Broadcasting students at Edith Cowan University as they get an opportunity in the hot seat. Broadcast live from the ECU Mount Lawley campus, students will put their broadcasting skills to the test, playing you their favourite music and providing you with all the latest news and information. Great music, news and a few laughs!

Punk music is often described as non-conformist, fast tempos and shouted lyrics, which is why we love it! Join Don each week as he explores all the different genres of punk in an action-packed two-hour program. Don will play pop punk tracks from the mid 90’s to present as well as other sub genres like grunge, emo, punk rock and others. If Greenday, The Offspring, Blink 182, Nirvana and The Living End are your thing then Shades of Punk is for you!

The Best of Oz has been on-air since 2019, playing the very best in Australian music, with a particular focus on rare tracks not often heard on commercial radio. Kim has a weekly feature album, playing several tracks from that album, together with three new or recent Australian music tracks from a variety of artists. Kim’s regular segment “Live Pub Rock Bracket” indulges the live music fans, playing a number of live rock tracks for all to enjoy. The Best of Oz, everything great in Australian Music.

Thursday Kickback has been a part of the fabric of 89 7FM since 2016. Hosts Rhonda and Alan play a variety of great music from all genres from the 60’s to now, plus a number of interactive listener segments. These segments include a weekly theme (which includes listener requests), two feature artists, jokes, a good news story, “Believe it or not” and “On this Day in Music History”. A jam-packed Thursday Kickback to enjoy!

Supplying you with your weekly mix of the greatest Two Tone, Ska and British Indie Bands you probably haven’t heard yet. Join Dave as he takes you on a journey through the past and present superstars of Ska and Two Tone along with the occasional up and coming British Indie Band while keeping you up to date with the latest local gigs. Brandon Chowdhurie comes from a family of musicians and has been hosting Lunchtime Live for three years, promoting the music of local artists from a variety of genres from Folk to Rock. Each week Brandon interviews three local artists providing an in depth look at the Perth local music scene. These artists then perform their original music tracks live in the studio with special acoustic performances. Lunchtime Live, your place for live, local music!

Hosted by Gary and occasionally his better half, Tuesday Drive is designed to help you get through the day that is about as far away from the last and from the next weekend as you can get. Playing a diverse selection of listening tunes (usually from the 70’s to the 00’s) that you will not hear on commercial stations, together with the odd dad joke, traffic and news, you have a new safe space for your Tuesday. The Morning Show with Bill Crowe has been on air for decades and is sure to liven up your Tuesday morning as only “Uncle Bill” can. Bill is a station Life Member and has an extensive knowledge of music from all genres and tastes as well as a sense of humour that will have you laughing! Tune in and listen out for his regular “UFO” segment (Unappreciated, Forgotten and Overlooked) where he plays tracks from artists that fit the UFO theme. Tuesday mornings with “Uncle Bill”, why would you miss it!

Derek Cromb has been presenting Play the Blues since 2001 and is a station Life Member. Join Derek each week as he presents his feature artist and plays four tracks from their new or recent album together with the best blues tracks in town. Regular segments include “Something Old, Something New” where he plays the original version of a track followed by a new or recent cover. Derek is sure to play music from new and exciting artists that you will enjoy.

On air since 2010 Sunday sounds has been a staple of our Sunday programming. Join Alan as he plays a selection of music not likely to be heard on other stations, feature albums in their entirety and often A and B side singles from artists. Alan also usually features a top 40 countdown on a monthly basis from a year in the past, accompanying these tracks with other music from the same year. Sunday Sounds is pure listening pleasure.

Chris Webb has been presenting the Wall of Sound since 2001 and is a station Life Member. Affectionately known as “The Local Yokel,” Chris explores all music genres, playing anything from anywhere! You will hear tracks you may not have heard before, as you broaden your music knowledge, as well as hearing some classics you’re sure to know and love. The “King” for Chris is of course, Elvis Presley.

Country Roads is a blend of country and folk music and all related sub genres. Steve plays an eclectic mix from decades past and today’s great sounds throughout the course of his two-hour program. Regular segments include “On this Day in Country Music” where he plays tracks with historical significance and his trademark segment “Odd but Even” where he ventures into another musical genre and plays a track that is odd in nature but even in quality. Bandar is the first and only entertainment program published in WA by Farsi and Pashto Languages. In Good Company has been on-air at 89 7FM for the last two years and is hosted by the wonderful Lisa Evans. Lisa focuses the program on the community and regularly has two or three live on-air interviews with special guests on various topics, from the environment to sustainability, most notably the arts. Lisa also plays great music of course, particularly music from the 80’s to today.

Relax into your Sunday morning with Margaret as she plays a mix of chilled tunes and acoustic favourites. Margaret’s extensive knowledge of music is showcased as she features a different artist each week. She will play a number of tracks from them, providing thoughtful insights into their careers and music milestones. Regular segments include “The Birthday List” and “Useless Information.”

Join Robyn for two hours of pure listening pleasure as she spins musical tunes that you won’t hear on commercial radio, from across all the decades to the present time. Covering blues, R&R, R&B, country-rock, Americana, folk, singer-songwriters, song and groove men and women, you name it she plays it. If you’re into head banging stuff, this is not the show for you.
