The first move in following God’s mission is to notice the needs of those around us. Keeping our eyes open for people in need where we live, work and play is the first act of the front porch. Then, showing mercy without regard for the person (gender, race, culture, sexuality, etc.) completes the act of love for God and neighbor. So many challenges that we face in life are not problems to solve but tensions to manage. For instance: grace and truth. One is not the answer over the other. They live in tension together. This series will show a number of tensions felt in the early church that we still face today and must learn to live with in order to be healthy.
