Vodafone has finalised the sale of its majority shares to Telecel Group (70%), with the Ghanaian Government holding 30% of the shares. This week, they have announced the rebranding of Vodafone Ghana to Telecel, where they had the rights to the Vodafone Ghana name up to February 2024.

Business Insider Africa shows that Ghana is amongst the list of 9 African countries which are the most expensive places to rent in Africa. This list is courtesy of Numbeo, the largest cost of living database in the world.. Those of you who have been following Season 3, we dropped an episode last year called “Is Accra Expensive”,  where Numbeo also reported that Accra is the 2nd most expensive city in the world,  which we debated of course.So this list is based on property price to income ratio basically comparing the median household price within an area to the median household income. Owning a property and renting in Africa has never been more expensive in such a climate where people flocking to Africa are pushing up the prices and coincidently, pricing out some of the natives who just can’t afford it.
