In 1894 Duluth, Minnesota was rocked with a murder most foul. The deceased woman in question remained unidentified for months until a detective had a hunch that led him to Minneapolis where she was finally identified as 32 year old Lena Olson.  This revelation resulted in a nationwide man hunt for her husband who's name they couldn't quite nail down as he appeared to go by many aliases. In France during the second world war, Dr. Marcel Petiot committed atrocious and antisemitic crimes in Paris during the 1930s and 40s. He committed many crimes throughout his life from petty theft to murder. After a house fire, authorities discovered 26 dismembered bodies in various states of decomposition in his Paris home. He tried to claim he was part of a French Resistance group killing Nazis and sympathizers, but he was actually praying on Jewish refugees and killing them with cyanide. On February 20, 2009 a young defense attorney was found brutally murdered in her Baton Rouge, Louisiana office. Adoption, incest and murder. This case is a wild one. Katie Pladl was a young aspiring artist who was placed for adoption as a young child. She had a relatively normal upbringing. Her life changed forever when she decided to seek out her birth parents. She found them and developed a relationship with them, but things quickly got weird. Eventually Katie would marry her biological father, Steven Pladl and have a child with him. Unfortunately this story ends with the death of all three and Katie's adoptive father, Tony Fusco. Today we are talking about the mysterious, unexplained, enraging etc etc death of Ellen Greenberg. Ellen was a vibrant 27 year old woman who had big plans for her future. She was planning a wedding, she had a career she enjoyed and a close relationship with her friends and family. January 26, 2011, Ellen's fiancé, Sam returned to their apartment after a trip to the gym. The door was locked. When Sam was finally able to get back into their apartment, he discovered Ellen dead on the kitchen floor. She had suffered 20 stab wounds to the back of her head, neck and chest. Somehow, her death was ruled a suicide. Ellen's family to this day are not convinced she killed herself and are still searching for justice to this day.
