Last year Natalie was exploring what it meant to be a non-binary person who presents more femme than androgynous. After a big year of struggle, transformation, and discovery, it's time to talk about gender identity with more confidence and certainty. A good listen for anyone who doesn't belong to either binary and doesn't fit everyone's expectations.

Very personal episode ahead, Judith looks back on their top surgery from a year ago and the changes it's brought to their life. Broadway's been dark for a year, but Netflix has us covered with their own adaptation of 2018's "The Prom". How does it measure up as a movie-musical, and as a queer story? We just wanna dance and lay our all our opinions on this one!

Today we discuss a recent anime of the yuri genre, about a pair of high school girls who are good friends. BEST friends. Gal pals, you might even say. Adachi & Shimamura is low-key and relaxed in pace, but we think it provides a truly relatable look back at when you're first starting to realize certain things about yourself and your relationships. BEEN A WHILE, hello there! Is this an X-mas movie review in MY January? You bet it is, because me and Natalie live by our own rules. We talk about Happiest Season, more famously known as "That Gay Kristen Stewart Christmas Movie".

Today we discuss three different shows that have stirred up controversy due to the choices they made while representing (or not representing) MLM characters. Supernatural, Sherlock, and Voltron have all flirted with some harmful tropes that have divided their queer viewers. We can't discuss queerbaiting & the like without examining the tropes themselves, so let's dive in!

Hope everyone had a good, responsible, and safe holiday! Today we're discussing the new LGBTQ documentary on HBO max, Transhood. This documentary shows that trans children are finally starting to get the recognition and attention from family that they deserve, but we're still here to discuss the incredibly rocky road ahead. Tune in for our thoughts on this compassionate and hopeful look at trans youth.

Today we discuss an element of queer life, and something that's personal to a lot of us - the feeling that you've waited "too long" to come out or be true to yourself. Any of us who feel this way are much less alone than we might think, so let's talk about it. It's never too late to be true to yourself and we've all got each other's backs!

We get a little nostalgic today as we discuss the new sequel/spinoff to our old standby Inuyasha, Half-Demon Princess Yashahime. Stories by author Rumiko Takahashi have had some issues when it comes to portrayals of queer characters or themes, but we think this new endeavor might just break away from that a little bit. Just a bit. ;) It's time we had more queer perspectives on the Inuyasha franchise anyway.

Now that Netflix's series Kipo & the Age of Wonderbeasts has wrapped up, we can do a full series review! This show is a good, unabashedly queer time with great themes for its young audience. If you wanna hear more queer perspective on Kipo, give us a listen.

Today we're revisiting our panel from Crunchyroll Expo, Queer New Animal. This is a more polished version of our own episode on Brand New Animal and it's easily-interpretable queer themes. Does it have plainly visible queer themes? YES! Even if you haven't seen it, give us a listen because we're not spoiling and we're hoping to hype you for this movie!

Today we discuss Disney's 1998 animated film, Mulan, and what it meant to each of us as queer teens watching it for the first time. For all its flaws, this is much more of a film worth fighting for than any version Disney has tried to follow it with.

This horror-comedy for kids is the first disney TV show to have a queer main character, but there's a lot more gay magic to be discovered here. Part 1 covers some of the history of film and animation and its relationship to queerness, from the 1920's to the 1990's.

Today's episode does get quite personal. Influenced by the ever-expanding conversation about non-binary identities, Judith and Natalie discuss what gender has meant to them throughout their lives, how it has harmed and helped the shaping of their identities, and how their views on it are continuing to evolve even now.

Judith and Natalie talk about weddings, relationships, infighting, and community, and what they all mean in the lives of LGBT+ people according to this wonderful little Steven Universe episode.
