You may be awake but still sleeping through the real meaning and purpose of life. There is no more pleasurable life than one who is awake and alive every moment of life, picking up on the messages and true purpose of each second.

The Torah can easily be misunderstood without the Oral Torah's explanations. The oral law is essential for the observance and maximization and fulfillment of the Torah.
