Dr Mike Grevlos is a professor of Psychology at the University of Sioux Falls in South Dakota. He teaches courses in sport psychology, motivation and emotion, and behavioral neuroscience.
He has also served as a motivation and performance coach to golfers and other athletes for over 20 years.
In this episode we cover a lot of topics related to the mind and performance, misconceptions Dr Grevlos sees in the golf psychology world, the value of meditation for golfers, how neuroplasticity changes with age, and the key role of focus during practice for making changes in how we move.

Greg Grosicki, Ph.D., CEP, is an Associate Professor in the Department of Health Sciences and Kinesiology and Director of the Exercise Physiology Laboratory in Georgia Southern University.

Greg is extremely interested in how we can alter lifestyle to positively influence physical capacity as we age. He is also a high level endurance athlete, having completed Ironman Hawaii in 9 hours and 22 mins.
I first came across his work reading a research paper he was the lead author on that investigated the effects of aging on slow and fast twitch muscle fiber mass, strength, and power.
In this interview we dig into what he found, and how you can implement this information to age more athletically.

In today’s episode I talk with Greg Lehman, who is a trained chiropractor, physical therapist, and strength and conditioning coach. Greg is a very keen golfer and has also done some of his research studies in golf.
We talk about the differences and similarities between chiros and physios, common misunderstandings, good vs bad practice, and things to look out for with a practitioner if you are looking for one.
We also delve into whether swing mechanics can predict the likelihood of injury, the science of stretching, and why most things touted as improving recovery really don’t do much.

At the beginning of 2021 he was ranked 434th in the world. Since then he has won his first PGA Tour event, picked up 5 top 10’s and climbed to 70th in the world rankings.
In this episode we discuss how his game has improved so much, and what he plans to do to get even better.
I got to know Seamus in May 2020 when we started working together on his physical training. He is a superb athlete, clearly a world class golfer, and an extremely nice guy. During our hour long conversation Seamus is very open in detailing how he has approached golf improvement.

In this episode I am joined by 4 extremely knowledgeable golf coaches to discuss swing speed.
Lee Cox coaches long drive competitors, European Tour players, and recreational golfers. He is probably best known as a “distance consultant”, as he has so much experience working with players who are very eager to learn how to hit the ball further.
Jack Bado works for The Golf College and is the lead coach for Project Tour School. Needless to say Jack has a wealth of experience working with teenagers and high level amateurs trying to take the next step with their games.
Stewart Corstorphine specialises in 3D analysis with the golf biodynamics system. This is a high tech swing measuring system which provides intricate detail on how the golfer and club move. Stewart teaches golfers of all levels.
Steve Furlonger is an expert in force plate & ground reaction force analysis. He is one of the only coaches in the UK to have the GASP Dual Force plate system installed on his lesson tee. He works with a number of European Tour players, high level amateurs, and recreational golfers.
