Comedian and writer H. Alan Scott, known for Out on The Lanai: A Golden Girls Podcast, shares how a dog helped him through cancer treatment. But don't worry, it's  in a funny way. Also, Monique meets a dog in the neighborhood who's a feminist and named after a princess. 

This week's wonderful guest is Steve Greig! You may have read his story on the internet last year, does "This Guy Just Can't Stop Adopting Senior Dogs and Farm Animals" ring a bell? That's right, Monique was able to have an incredible conversation with Steve and we learned about the 10 (mostly senior) dogs he has rescued AND a pig named bikini, AND the chickens, AND the ducks...AND...the pigeons...you get the idea...Steve is an animal lover and just an all-around sweetheart! 

Monique also meets the extraordinary little corgi, Arrow while meeting the dogs in our neighborhood.

Neel Nanda of Comedy Central, MTV, and IFC joins Monique Madrid in episode 38 of the PUPcast! Neel explains why he has no middle name, tells the sweet story of how he and his girlfriend acquired their shih-tzu Baxter, and gives advice to comics who might be nervous about getting a dog. Monique meets Bernie the snorting Boston Terrier while meeting the dogs in our neighborhood!

Monique's fantastic guest this week is Amy Miller! Amy was a semi-finalist on Last Comic Standing and she joined us to talk about how she grew up "white trash", is currently a dog-walker (on the side) in Los Angeles, and graces us with some crazy animal facts.

Effervescent Holly Laurent (Drunk History, The Reckoning) and her giant dog, Sister, joined the pupcast pack this week and shared the story of naming Sister, they unpack a little of Holly's religious background, and Monique sasses up with the pups Rego and Dexter (Chocolate Thunder) while hanging out with the dogs in our neighborhood.

For this week's episode, Monique went to California Animal Rehabilitation (aka CARE, aww) to speak with Dr. Ashley Manoogian, a person and animal physical therapist who also likes dogs more than cats (take THAT, cats!). Monique also gets to sit in a therapy session with the wonderful Matzo. Unfortunately, after the recording of this episode, Matzo's physical conditions worsened and passed away. We would love our listeners to post pictures of their dogs on social media with the hashtag #formatzo in memory of this beloved dog.
