We are back for episode 186 (though we say it’s 187, it’s not)!

This is probably our most left-of-field start to an episode ever...
Joseph somewhat kicks off the news - what there is of it - this week with news about the Porsche GT3 RS (ps. we never came back around to Mitch's Porsche pick, we're not very good at our jerbs), and then Matt clarifies the Subaru Impreza/WRX/STi breakups.
We then suggest what car Joseph should get to be a new daily driver, as the 86 is becoming a little too racecar for daily driver duties anymore.
Matt then talks about the Mk8 Golf R Wagon, and Joseph talks about the new Subaru Levorg, and an Amarok/Ranger based Land Rover Defender, and then we argue semantics.
We then talk about the GR Camry, which we really like, and a Tesla Model 2, and the concept Mazda 6.

Matt isn't with us this week, but in his absence, we still managed to smash out a banger of an episode for your earholes.
After some bollocks, Mitch kicks off the news with a bit more leakage from the Toyota marque around the 300 Series LandCruiser... And sadly, it does seem like the next Cruiser will have a 3.5L-hybrid V6 twin-turbo petrol, and potentially a 3.3L V6 turbo diesel... From which we talk about how it's time to move on from the 2JZ.
Then we briefly talk about Holden having ZERO sales for January 2021.
Joseph then talks news from across the pond, the new Cadillac CT4-V and CT5-V Blackwing.

Then we talk about the next-generation Mercedes-AMG C63.... Which will have a spooly-boi 2.0L 4-banger from the A45S, plus a hybrid system, from which we then talk about Diesel's continued popularity in Australia, and then we end on general nonsense and a discussion on gearing.

We kick off the news this week with Joseph talking about the apparently 'new' Jeep Grand Cherokee, which looks a helluva lot like the old Grand Cherokee.
Mitch then talks about FCA and PSA making it Facebook Official and forming a new group 'Stellantis'.
Matt then talks about how 66% of Ford Australia's sales is the Ranger, which is causing some concern within the ranks of Ford Australia as the next Ranger is a shared platform with the Volkswagen Amarok, from which we talk about the Ford Bronco not coming to RHD markets and 'Murican "trucks".
Mitch then talks about Lada bringing out a new Niva, while still selling the OG Niva, and BMW coming out with their first 'M' electric car, the i4 M, and the Mustang will more-than-likely only be offered with an electric drivetrain by the end of the decade, but the next-generation Mustang due in 2023 might get a new 6.8L V8, and Hyundai ending all development on new diesel engines.
We then talk about how a little while ago we asked for negative reviews, and we got one!

We then briefly talk about Mazda patenting a new Wankel rotary, but Mitch isn't as excited as everyone else appears to be because this is just hype news, as last we heard the Rotary will only be used as part of a hybrid system as a power generator and not connected directly to the rear wheels.
Mitch then talks about the 2020 Nissan GTR Nismo's pricing and specs being released; it'll be $380,000 AUD (before on-roads) - a whole $80,000 more than the outgoing model, with the same power as the outgoing Nismo.

We then end the episode by talking about how cars have advanced further than the average skill of most drivers, and how licenses haven't caught up with how powerful cars have become.

We then continue onto the next round of Matt's garage game, with this week the budget is $20,000, and then we play 'What About This Car', and this week it's about the Mazda 2, and Matt reckons the Mazda 2 would be a good contender to be the next 'Twin Cam'.

We then talk about the Queensland fiasco around lifted 4x4's and 'Operation Lift', and the nonsense surrounding the laws to make your lifted 4x4 road legal in Australia, before talking briefly about our recent fun-times offroad in Jimna State Forest.

Sun, 14 Jul 2019 - 56min - 111 - You're Not You When You're Sober
We're back for episode 106, and we start off with Matt and Mitch talking aout them doing Dry July, before introducing our special guest for this week, Tim Griffiths. Tim starts us off this week with talking about his car history, starting with a Mk4 Volkswagen Golf which had all sorts of gearbox issues. Tim replaced the Golf with a Kia Rio, which also had gearbox issues. The Rio was briefly followed by a BMW 735i, before getting a Ford Ranger which had 4WD issues, and replacing it with his current car, a Holden Colorado.
We then argue about 'built not bought', and Tim talks about the one time he tried to replace his handlebars, which didn't go well.
Matthew then tells us a story, about how a side-deal he did backfired on him, and an slight issue he's had with his LandCruiser.
Mitch kicks off the news about the death of Lee Iacocca, the father of the Mustang, and the savior of Chrysler in America.
Tim then brings up the Ferrari SF Stradale, which we pick and pull apart.
Mitch then brings up news about the Australian Government introducing new motor vehicles standards in-line with Euro cars. They are introducing laws to force all new cars to have alcohol/breatherlisers and drug testers in the car which will stop the car from driving if they test postive for drugs and/or alvohol.
Joseph then talks about all new electric cars being launched in the E.U must emit a noise comparable to ICE vehicles up to 20Kph.
Tim then talks about in-car mobile-phone tech, we all talk about old people and technology, and WRC planning to go electric.
Matt then talks about how he cannot wait for VR Motorsports to make their sim-rigs to fit bigger people.
Tim then talks about the Mercedes SLS being the latest victim in the Takata airbag recall, and Tim ends the show about a giant bloody train called 'Big Boy'

Sun, 07 Jul 2019 - 1h 04min - 110 - Half-Cocked As Usual
We're back for episode 105! This week we start off talking about the burping properties between Heineken and Great Northern, before sending out condolences to Mr. Ben Sewell who tore his ACL (rip).
Then, Mitch breaks into a rant and argument about Matthew's comments from last week's episode about Porsche and turbocharging.
Then Mitch goes onto another rant about BMW / Mini, and their false British-ness, then Matt rants about Mini, but about their ridiculous range - when all they need is 2.
Joseph then brings up news about the Hyundai Genesis G70, and finally releasing their pricing/specs for the Australian market, and Matthew quickly talks about how his old Subaru Forester XT is still up for sale on CarSales.
Joseph then talks a bit more about his new brake system, after getting used to it for another week, and Matt talks about how Garth Tander and his wife Christina Nielsen had a small bingle on track. Then Mitch talks about the sneakly little tricks that some of the Excel Cup teams use to gain an edge over the competition; from different ECU's, better engines, and milling out the ballast blocks.
We then talk about LeMons racing, and what cars would make good platforms for LeMons or cheap car racing, and personalised plates and their extreme costs.

Sun, 30 Jun 2019 - 46min - 109 - Beyond Kardashian
We're back for episode 104! Mitch is away camping, and Michael Trew is in the hot seat.
Matt kicks off this week's episode with a bit of Mk5 Toyota Supra news; with the first 100 Australian allocations presale selling out in 50 minutes.
Then the boys wax on about how great V8 Supercar Driver Scott McLaughlin is as a driver, having being the first to ever score a ''Triple Crown' at Darwin.
Joseph bring up Porsche announcing 2 new cars, both with naturally aspirated 6-cylinder engines, and Matt and Michael talk nonsense about how Porsche shouldn't be turbocharged [Mitch's Note; Clearly Matthew and Michael forgot about the 911 Turbo/Turbo S and the GT2 RS!]
Matt and Joseph then go back to talking about Scott McLaughlin killing it in the Supercar Championship, being 400 points ahead of #2 - His Team Mate, Fabian Coulthard. Before they go on to talk about Formula E.
The boys then go back to talking about the new Porsche GT4, then Matt loses his mind about how naturally aspirated engines keep making more power year-on-year. Thankfully, Michael is on hand, or resident engineer while the short-one is away, who can somewhat explain how this is possible, and the lads just then talk about engine engineering.
Michael then talks about his and his old man's project; an original Fiat 124 Spyder, and then Michael talks about his issues with Coronation Drive in Brisbane (a hated road by almost everyone in Brisbane)
Then Matt and Joseph talk about what they've each done to their cars this week, starting with Joseph talking about his new Rays Wheels finally showing up and getting fitted on his 86, as well as his new brakes getting fitted (and engineered!). Matt then talks about what he's done, or rather, what issues he's been having with his 105 Cruiser and learns a lesson about buying cheap 4x4 barwork (ie; don't).
Matt then introduces a new game; "Scrub For Cars". The cars discussed this week are;
Ferrari F40
Nissan G34 GTR
Hyundai Excel
Ford BA XR6 Turbo Ute
Toyota 86
BMW E28 M5
Jaguar E Type
Lamborghini Miura
Volkswagen Kombi VanThen Michael explains himself, before the boys end the show for the week.

Sun, 23 Jun 2019 - 50min - 108 - The Keith Richards of Cars; with Macca Greene from Grip Runner
We're back for episode 103, and this week we have a special guest; Macca Greene from Grip Runner!
This week we talk about Macca's extensive car history, flaccid gear shifters, the best driving roads in S.E. Queensland.
We then talk about Grip Runner and how it came to be. Grip Runner is an automotive YouTube channel, specialising in automotive culture in Brisbane, as well as an online publication.
Matt then cuts in and has a rant about people drifting past his house most Friday nights, which turns into a great discussion about the endless battle between the underground drift/grip scene, governments and police, and 'the media', as well as racetrack noise restrictions.
We then talk about Lakeside's latest issues, mounting fines, and noise complaints threaten the track's existence, before talking about the Grip Runner crew and their cars.
We then all argue about Gone In 60 Seconds original Vs the Nicholas Cage one, and the Need For Speed movie.
Mitch then talks about the Toyota Corolla Hybrid Ascent Sport he's got in for review from Toyota Australia. Video review coming soon! We then talk about the Toyota 86 and why it's better than an S-Chassis.
Matt then wants to do something weird, and ask us a few questions inspired by our podcast friends 'Knackers in the Breeze'. The first question he asks is "What is the most enlightened car?" which gets us talking about how some cars have souls, and many don't. The next question Matt asks us is "Would you rather have to drive all day, every day, in a mini-van filled with soccer players warming up for a game, or, one cricket fan on a scooter explaining how great the 90's was?"
Huge thanks to Macca for coming on the pod! Make sure you check out Grip Runner on YouTube, as well as their website, Facebook and Instagram!

Sun, 16 Jun 2019 - 1h 07min - 107 - Speaking of the Germans...
We start off this wee by giving listener Adrian Pierce a shout out, and answer his question about what he should do with his current XH XR6 Falcon Ute; Barra Swap, swap it out for a BF or FG Falcon ute, or go for a mid-2000's Subaru Liberty Wagon 3.0.
Joseph then talks about RAM celebrating their 1,500 vehicle sale in Australia, and starting 24-hour production in Australia too, then we talk about utes on the market, and our mate's NP300 Navara having nothing but issues.
We then give another shout-out Matthew Cheney, who asked us what engine he should swap into his first-gen Mazda MX5/Miata.
Joseph then talks about BMW announcing their M8 Competition spec, and explains the origin of the 'Competition' range, and why it exists. We then argue with BMW's claim that the M8 Competition is competition to the Porsche 911 Turbo.
Joseph then talks about Gordon Murray leaving McLaren, and starting his own car company, GMA, and is building the 'successor' to the McLaren F1 (in spirit), called the T50.
We then wind down the show, Joseph's wheels are now in Australia and are on the way to Brisbane, Matt talks about the dual battery system in his LandCruiser being wired incorrectly, and Joseph guesses what James Bond's next car will be in the next film.
