Moving out is an amazing feeling, until you realize that you in this process alone. To be honest, it gets anxious when you remember that you will have to buy things to fill your house, pay rent and fix the holes in your bathroom. Sucks right?

But there is a joy of being able to live under your own roof and throw the “as long as I am under my roof card.”

In this episode, I talk to Mercy Asiro and discover how she is embracing fear and at the same time accepting life's changes.

Of all the annoyances you can have- like an alarm going on too early or the crazy rush hour, having a toxic boss can make your day terrible. While bad bosses come in different flavours, it can have a negative impact on an individual's mental health.

For Esther Mutungi, it meant a mind-shift that saw her quit her job to pursue her dreams.

The environment that one grows often (but not always)  determines how one turns.  For Irene Yamo, she grew up in poverty, but caught a chance to further her education, went to the best high schools in Kenya.  She made it to the university only to drop out and do business which she later left to pursue a course in nursing. Despite the challenges she faced, she is now an amazing Ophthalmic nurse and still forging on.

One day, you are having this bomb job, the next day, you are sitting for a six month interview. Welcome to the age of uncertainity, where the economic outlook is not looking too good. That also means stagnated salaries that can secure our future.

What breaks my heart is that we might not retire until we are 75!!! That sucks.

Happy New Year!!! What a time to be alive.

I spent my time in the countryside during the festive season and my oh my...I got to learn a lot. The questions of what my career path is were also quite overwhelming. I mean, if you are not doing medicine or engineering, it becomes hard to explain to your folks and relatives what you are doing with your life.

Question- How do you deal with such questions?

Finishing school is always exciting- until you realize the harsh experiences one has to go through.

There are Skills we were not taught in school, yet they are relevant in our day to day life. I mean, Undergrad was meant to sharpen us and make us better people. Instead, we left not knowing how to communicate, how to file tax returns, how to think and how to repair broken stuff.
