Libya has been on constant war since the overthrow and killing of longtime leader Muammar Gaddafi who was one of the high profile leaders in North Africa and Middle East to lose power during the 2011 Arab Spring. The rebels who united to topple Gaddafi have been fighting each other, trying to rule the war-tone North African oil rich country. On April 4, Khalifa Haftar began an offensive to seize Tripoli from the internationally recorgnized government of national accord.

United Arabs Emirates, Saudi Arabia, Egypt, USA and France have been accused of interfering in Libyan affairs by supporting Khalifa Haftar.
