Episode 2. Finding Bahowo. 

Seeking land in the mountains of Minahassa, Phil and Paula conclude that something is wrong, and in a moment of understanding they realise that they are looking in the wrong place.

Episode 3. The Village. 

Phil and Paula get to better know the village which they one day hope to make their home, and to better understand how this might be possible.

Episode 4. Back in England. 

Despite receiving mixed reactions from family and friends, Phil and Paula are more determined than ever to begin their perhaps insane project, and make their first and all – important financial commitment.

Episode 5. First Stone. 

Phil and Paula are introduced to their builder, and in ceremonial manner they see to the first physical manifestation of the building in which they one day hope to live.

Episode 6. The Twilight Zone. 

Phil and Paula try to do something sensible, which fails, and Paula goes to America whilst Phil goes back to Indonesia, and is amazed

Episode 7. Contrasting Cultures. 

Phil and Paula get down to some practical, legal and administrative matters pertaining to their future lives, and start to think about furniture.

Episode 8. One More Winter. 

From all of the uncertainty, a timescale is beginning to emerge, and Paula makes an important and determined decision.

Episode 9. Of Dolphins and Seahorses. 

Some construction problems are resolved, and some are not. Phil and Paula begin to think about aesthetics, and begin to doubt their Indonesian partner.

Episode 10. Christmas in Bahowo. 

Paula is lost for words, some religious matters are dealt with, not necessarily for the better, and Phil and Paula have a spiritual experience.

Episode 11. A Boundary Dispute. 

Phil and Paula arrive in Bahowo to find that the land which they thought they had bought is not theirs in its’ entirety, which presents them with a particular problem.

Episode 12. Family Outings. 

Despite an enjoyable time being spent with Paula’s family around the highlands and islands of Sulawesi, Phil and Paula return to England with some problems, and with no clear idea how to resolve them.

Episode 13. Losing a Friend. 

Phil says goodbye to a faithful companion, and to take his mind off things Paula persuades him to return to Bahowo, to oversee the last stages of building work, and he will not be going alone.

Episode 14. The Naming of Sebastian. 

Whilst Paula stays at home and works on obtaining further family approval for the project, an honour is bestowed upon Phil, which he is glad to accept.

Episode 15. Oiling the Wheels. 

The lodge is built, a boat trip very nearly goes badly wrong for Phil, and Paula turns her mind to the somewhat troublesome matter of furniture.

Episode 16. Matters Ecclesiastical. 

Phil and Paula decide that if a church stands in the way of their plans, the best thing to do is to move the church, and Paula gives consideration to the more personal aspects of their soon to begin adventure.

Episode 17. Between the Old Life and the New. 

Phil and Paula’s domestic circumstances in England are changing more quickly than they had anticipated, and this prompts them to at last set a date for their final move to Sulawesi.

Episode 18. A Matter of Trust. 

It’s time for Phil and Paula to buy white goods, and to decide who in their immediate circle of Indonesian friends and acquaintances they can trust, and who they cannot.

Episode 19. The Tree of Life. 

Since suitable furniture is a scarcity in their part of Indonesia, Phil and Paula must have it made, and find that is this regard they perhaps have all that they need, and closer to home than they would have anticipated.

Episode 20. Complex Relationships. 

Phil and Paula learn more about the way of life of the people amongst whom they will soon be living, and how a person may in certain circumstances commit murder most foul with impunity.

Episode 21. A Place of Magic. 

A birthday is celebrated, Phil and Paula hear tales of magic, which sometimes goes wrong, and of a football match which went bad, and Paula is learning to live with snakes.

Episode 22. Family Matters. 

Phil and Paula turn their thoughts to how they can one day help the people of Bahowo, who have helped them so much with their project, and begin the process of building their swimming pool.

Episode 23. Myth and Magic. 

Every society has its’ angels and demons, and Phil and Paula learn more about the local beliefs in their chosen part of Indonesia, and how profound an effect these can have on the people who live there.

Episode 24. A Serpent in Eden. 

Phil and Paula prepare to leave for England for the last time, and they leave with some misgivings, having learned not to trust their Indonesian partner, and that not all snakes live in the forest.

Episode 25. Preparing to Leave. 

All is as ready now as it can be, and Phil and Paula spend their last weeks in England, and make final preparations for their departure to their new lives.

Episode 26. The Journey’s End. 

On the final voyage to their new home there are ethical matters to consider. This journey marks the beginning of another, and Phil and Paula can only speculate as to what they will find, and how life will be at the journeys’ end.
