This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, Dr. Amanda Fisher goes solo to interview Dr. Heather Evans, PT, DPT. Heather is a pelvic floor physical therapist at Empower Your Pelvis. In this episode, Amanda and Heather will be talking about the role of physical therapy in fertility treatment, as well as some ideas for how you can get started with a PT-based exercise program if you're trying to get pregnant. They will also talk about how physical therapists can provide evaluation, treatment, and supportive information for women and couples experiencing infertility.
They will touch on such topics as:
Early testing will give you an idea about your fertility status so that you can take timely necessary action. Hormone levels in women can significantly affect the chances of conceiving and staying pregnant. Since there are so many different testing options available, it's common for women to feel confused about what the doctors want to test for. Once your tube has been removed in your ovary, it won’t have any issues with your ovulation; which means you won’t have to worry about getting pregnant. Pelvic floor physical therapy is a treatment that can help you with infertility. It has been proven to help reduce mechanical infertility through various manual therapy techniques and self-management strategies. Pelvic floor physical therapists are trained to assess the pelvic floor and other structures of the body, including muscles and ligaments. When you have a pelvic floor issue, it can affect your ability to conceive.P.S. Subscribe, rate, and review Here

Thu, 07 Sep 2023 - 80 - Ep#79: Navigating Perimenopause and Menopause: Expert Insights from Dr. Lauren Streicher
Dealing with the change of life for women can be tough. Perimenopause can make you feel anxious, depressed, confused, in pain and everything in between. So how do you tell these symptoms apart and manage them? What can you do to make this journey less stressful and make sure you're taking care of yourself?
This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, Dr. Amanda Fisher and Marin Cole will interview our guest, Dr. Lauren Streicher. Dr. Lauren is a graduate of the University of Illinois College of Medicine. Her clinical interests include all aspects of women’s health but Dr. Streicher has a particular interest and expertise in menopause and sexual health. In addition to her interest in consumer outreach and education, Dr. Streicher is considered an expert in the academic world. She does research, publishes in the scientific literature, lectures at medical conferences, and devotes significant time to teaching residents and medical students.
In this episode, they will talk about breaking the common myths, misconceptions and misnomers of menopause, sexual health, and postpartum so you can have a better understanding of them, and feel more confident in knowing that your body is doing what it needs to do!
They will touch on such topics as:
Menopause is a time when a woman's reproductive system is changing. It doesn't cause symptoms for everyone, but some women do have menopausal symptoms. It can be a difficult time for women, but it's not something that most of us are prepared for. It's important to talk to your doctor about what's going on with your body so they can help monitor your progress through perimenopause. One of the big myths we're always talking about is that people think perimenopause and menopause are the same thing. Perimenopause is not just the end of your menstruation cycle—it's an extremely important time when your body changes significantly. This can lead to symptoms like hot flashes, night sweats, weight gain, mood swings and more. Hormone levels are fluctuating, and it's important to know what you're going through and how it will affect your body so you can take any necessary steps to keep yourself healthy. Gynecologists, for the most part, are not experts when it comes to menopause. It's not something that it's taught, certainly not in medical school. This is why you'll need a specialist if you want a truly holistic approach to your menopausal health care. Sexual medicine has its own set of challenges. It's not just about being able to get an erection, or being able to have an orgasm. A lot of women in their twenties and thirties are having problems with libido and intercourse that's painful or difficult. This is something that women are not being told about—even those who are aware that they might develop some vaginal dryness or maybe some pain with intercourse are not told about this other impact of menopause. Dryness is not limited just to the vagina. It can also affect a woman's bladder and urethra, making it difficult for her to urinate and even causing incontinence.P.S. Subscribe, rate, and review Here

Fri, 02 Jun 2023 - 67 - Ep#66: My Sleeping Baby: Expert Sleep Training Techniques for Your Little One with Eva Klein
Are you a new-mom who can’t take the sleepless nights anymore and feel delirious from lack of sleep where you could cry? Are you starting to wonder if it’s time to start to sleep train your baby?
This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, our host, Dr. Amanda Fisher interviews Eva Klein. Eva is a Certified Infant and Child Sleep Consultant and is the founder of My Sleeping Baby and the Sleep Bible program. Eva’s main goal is to help her clients establish healthy sleep habits for their children. After experiencing the debilitating effects of chronic sleep deprivation from her middle child, Eva was inspired to help families overcome their sleep challenges. Eva truly empathizes with her clients’ sleep troubles and personally invests herself in their sleep journey.
In addition to completing her sleep consulting certification, she is a member of the Association of Professional Sleep Consultants and she completed the 2016 Infant Mental Health Community Training through the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto. Eva also has her Bachelor of Arts from York University and her law degree from the University of Western Ontario.
In this episode, Amanda and Eva will talk about how sleep training will help your little one(s) sleep restfully at night so that you can feel rested and refreshed and enjoy parenthood to its fullest without having the guilt. They will also discuss how this method helps your baby to be comfortable and independent sleeping on their own, even if they wake up - they can calm themselves.
They will touch on such topics as:
Maximizing your child’s sleep regardless of their age and stage in order to enjoy the stage of motherhood. How a child can learn to independently sleep, and the appropriate training to implement in the beginning. How to introduce new sleep habits to your little one, so you can give attention, time, and love to your toddler or preschooler child. You don’t need to choose between getting sleep for yourself and honoring your child's emotional needs because you can have both at the same time. There is more than one right way to approach your little one's sleep and bring them into your bed. Sleep training should be looked-at as an equally legitimate choice from being a well-rested family and an emotional happy and stable child. If you’re convinced that NOTHING will ever get your baby sleeping through the night, I sympathize with you. I get it, and I know exactly how it feels to be so hopeless, feeling like you’ve tried EVERYTHING. You feel like nothing will ever work.
I’m here to give you hope and reassurance, as does my friend Eva of My Sleeping Baby. If you’d love to get your baby consistently sleeping 11-12 hours at night so you can be a functioning human, grab a spot for her FREE training coming up on Thursday, June 22, 2023 at 8:30 PM EST.

In 2013 Morgan joined forces with Devan and together built one of the nation’s best fitness programs! Burn Boot Camp has not only given Morgan the platform to share her passion for healthy living but has also given her the confidence to achieve what she ever thought was possible for herself. You’ve probably heard a couple of times about the pelvic floor - but you might be surprised by how much your pelvic floor does for you, everything from bowel and bladder health to childbirth and even how satisfying your sex life is. What’s all the fuss with the pelvic floor, and why is it so important in your life?
This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, Dr. Amanda Fisher did a crossover episode and was interviewed on the Forever Fit Podcast, hosted by Chelsea Muncy.Chelsea is the owner of a gym and PT clinic in Miamisburg, Ohio. She is also a pregnancy & postpartum athleticism coach, women’s health specialist, mom, and wife. Chelsea has a passion to empower women through health and wellness to become the best version of themselves. Chelsea and her husband have owned their gym in Miamisburg for twelve years and have added the PT side just about a year ago. Chelsea was tired of the traditional PT setting and wanted to start a clinic where she could treat the whole person without limitations from insurance. As a coach Chelsea teaches classes throughout the week, as well as treating patients in the clinic. In her free time she likes to spend it outdoors with her family and traveling. Chelsea not only teaches crossfit but also has an all women’s boot camp where she empowers women of all ages with more strength training type of work. One of her passions is to help women realize that strength training is good for them and can be done by anyone if they have the right coaching and guidance.

Thu, 27 Apr 2023 - 62 - Ep#61: What You Need to Know in Early Postpartum Rehabilitation
As a new mom, we want to return to our usual physical activities too soon after delivering the baby but it is not possible as we are still recovering with the changes in our body. How can new moms recover effectively after pregnancy, get healthy, and return to normal activities with their families? How can you navigate the early stage of motherhood with mindfulness and gentle movement to recover faster?
This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, Dr. Amanda Fisher will talk about how postpartum recovery and rehabilitation helps new mothers to fully recover effectively following pregnancy and childbirth delivery. She will also discuss how you can reconnect with your core and pelvic floor as you start to heal the process of postpartum recovery, and get ready to return to enjoying a happy, healthy lifestyle with your family.
I will touch on such topics as:
In the postpartum realm, Physical Therapists don’t see patients or referrals for postpartum patients until around the patient’s six to eight week mark. Patients may not feel or experience any symptoms, but if they went through an internal exam they will see some changes with their body. Postpartum rehabilitation, especially within the pelvic floor realm, is not just about the core. It is all about full body functioning activities. Do not compare yourself to anybody you see in social media. What are the missing pieces in your body that need to be modified, especially after your body was stretched nine months ago? Always remember that everybody's body heals differently. Your pre-baby body was maybe a competitor and an athlete, and you are still an athlete more than ever as a mom - but we need to take in consideration the healing side and what you're doing as a mom and how to make your body work best for you. You have to acknowledge that there is a lot to heal from pregnancy and birth, regardless of your birth.P.S. Subscribe, rate, and review Here

Thu, 23 Mar 2023 - 57 - Ep#56: A Dietitian with A Specialty in Endometriosis with Alexis Brooks
Are you one of these women who felt like your body is betraying you and you don’t know where to seek help? With so many options available today, how do you decide which doctor or clinic is right for you? Are you ready to find the one who can bring the difference in how women feel about their bodies and about their health as a whole?
This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, Dr. Amanda Fisher goes solo to interview Alexis Brooks. Alexis is the creator of Alexis Brooks Nutrition. She is a registered dietitian and endowarrior. After spending years dealing with debilitating and painful symptoms including migraines, bloating, heavy periods, pelvic pain, lightheadedness and more, she hit a wall. Searching for answers of why her body was acting the way it was and what she can do about it, led her down a lonely path. No doctor seemed to be able to offer her anything other than birth control, surgery, or a prescription to induce menopause at the ripe age of 30 or, have a baby. she then found a community of women, just like me who were searching for the same answers.
In this episode, Amanda and Alexis will be talking about women's health and wellness, with Alexis’s personal journey with PCOS and endometriosis, and how she was able to learn to manage her health and feel like herself again. They will also talk about what each condition is and how it can affect you, as well as some strategies for managing your symptoms.
They will touch on such topics as:
How PCOS affects many women around the world and can cause infertility, and what can Pelvic Floor therapists help with that. It's important that you speak with a doctor who specializes in women's health issues so they can help you figure out what's best for your body type (and your lifestyle). What endometriosis is or could look like for some people. The best ways to approach managing PCOS and/or endometriosis through diet and exercise. The first step is learning about your body—what it needs and what makes it feel good. It can be overwhelming to learn how to eat for your health, especially when you're dealing with PCOS or endometriosis. But the truth is that there are plenty of foods that can help you feel your best and improve your symptoms when you're managing these conditions.P.S. Subscribe, rate, and review Here

This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, Dr. Amanda Fisher goes solo to interview Jessica Kitterman. Jessica Kitterman, BS in Biology & BSN Nursing, knew she needed a healthy, no sugar alternative to the soda pop and juice she was buying for her family. After working in the Emergency Room, researching, and seeing how common inflammatory diseases, diabetes, and other ailments are amongst our country, she started making and drinking her own Kombucha and noticed the health benefits right away! As a person who strives to educate on the importance of a healthy lifestyle in order to transform our health within our communities, W'Bago Bucha was created in 2021 to do just that!
In this episode, Amanda and Jessica will talk about how Jessica came up with the idea for her kombucha product and how this drink helps keep the body balanced, and helps promote wellness in a holistic way. She will also talk about her passion in educating people on how they can live a cleaner life using natural remedies that are safe and effective, and bringing education to people so they can learn how to make healthy choices for themselves while running a business.
They will touch on such topics as:
How Kombucha can help you fix good bacteria, and balance out the bad bacteria in your body at the end of the day. Making your own authentic Kombucha will benefit you more than buying it in a store. Taking care of your pelvic health is important. So we've come up with a solution: incorporate physical activities into your life while taking care of your pelvic health. There is power in the holistic approach, especially when you educate yourself. Taking a holistic approach means that you are focused on your own well-being as well as learning to educate others. Kombucha is a great way to get your internal issues addressed. It's a fermented tea that contains probiotics, which are good bacteria that help keep your gut healthy.P.S. Thu, 02 Mar 2023 - 54 - #53: Empower Your Pelvis Was Denied Sponsorship for Local Youth Soccer Team!
Have you seen the connection between the Pelvis and sports before? It's so important that many sports require a strong pelvis in order for you to perform well—but did you know that a weak pelvis can actually interfere with performance? What happens when someone rejects such an empowering message that connects with a sport?
This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, Dr. Amanda Fisher will talk about the reason why Empower Your Pelvis was rejected from the local youth soccer team sponsorship, and how the rejection was a reflection of how they see the human body part, especially the “Pelvis.” She will also talk about why she needs to keep educating people about pelvic health, especially when it comes from people who are supposed to be in positions of power and authority like sports - soccer.
I will touch on such topics as:
Why Empower your Pelvis was rejected as a brand sponsor on a youth soccer team. Why the word “Pelvis” and other parts of the human body should be normalized. Why it is important to learn about our human body parts so that you could understand what parts of our body are doing and why they feel pain in different areas. It's important for us to learn about the body parts so we can feel empowered by our bodies instead of being ashamed or embarrassed by it. The Pelvis is a body part that has been historically overlooked, and it’s time to change that.P.S. Subscribe, rate, and review Here

Fri, 24 Feb 2023 - 53 - #52: Prepping for the Next Pregnancy After Just Giving Birth
Are you planning to have another child after just giving birth like Rihanna? It takes a lot of time to recover from pregnancy and childbirth, so how do you plan ahead and make an effort to find time for yourself and your baby? What preparation do you need for having another baby as it will affect your health in the future?
This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, Dr. Amanda Fisher goes solo to interview her colleagues, Dr. Michaela Lupo and Dr. Meg Schwartz. In this episode, Amanda, Michaela and Meg will be talking about how the Super Bowl LVII Halftime performance by Rihanna was a strong representation of women who went from postpartum back to being pregnant again with another baby, and how Pelvic Floor therapists have a significant role in women during pregnancy, but so often they are only heard of treating postpartum. They will also talk about why it’s so important to be conscientious of your mobility, pelvic floor and other issues, and how Pelvic Floor therapists make it a little easier on yourself before giving birth.
They will touch on such topics as:
What preparations do you need for having another pregnancy just after you give birth? Some women experience weakness from being postpartum, but how do you balance your body while also growing a human inside your belly? Your body hasn't had to fully build up the strength in the pelvic floor, hips, and full-body strengthening, but a pelvic floor therapist will help you get stronger in a small span of time. During pregnancy and the postpartum period, pelvic health therapists are always working on regaining some glute strength because when you are growing a baby, your balance changes and your posture changes, and typically you might end up with a lot of glute weakness and core weakness.P.S. What would you do to improve yourself without being overwhelmed or even trying everything at once? What steps are you going to make to keep things moving forward and be able to make it a habit?
This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, Dr. Amanda Fisher will talk about the framework of creating new habits developed by James Clear as described in his book, the Atomic Habits, and how she uses this to empower her patients and not overwhelm them with routines and exercises that are new to them. She will also discuss how these new habits can help you improve your pelvic floor health, your work, and your life in general.
Book Reference: The Atomic Habits by James Clear
I will touch on such topics as:
How can a small habit decrease the endurance, decrease the fatigue that is happening on those pelvic floor muscles so the patient gains confidence and can run without leakage? Habit consists of four things: Cue, Craving, Response, and the Reward; and why these four elements are important in creating new habits. What action triggers those habits, whether it becomes a positive habit or a negative habit? 91% of people are more likely to do their habits when they write it down and document what they do than to those people who don’t. Thu, 05 Jan 2023 - 46 - Ep#45: Everything You Need To Know About Labor And Birth Preparation with Andrea Simianer Part 2
Are you a mama-to-be who finds herself stressing about factors you can't control, especially when it comes to birth preparation? How do you plan your birth preparation and how do you prepare yourself during the delivery?
This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, Dr. Amanda Fisher is back with our guest, Andrea Simianer.Andrea is a wife, and mom to a toddler, a baby in heaven, and one on the way. She is the Children’s Ministry Director at her church, enjoys staying active with her family, and loves trying new foods! She was excited to take the Birth Prep Course with Empower Your Pelvis to help her better prepare her pelvic floor this pregnancy. She truly believes it helps to empower women to feel more confident in giving birth in whatever way they choose, or it happens!
In this episode, Amanda and Andrea will be talking about what you need to know when you plan different options during the birth preparation and what plan for your baby's birth needs to take into consideration before your birth delivery.
They will touch on such topics as:
A woman needs to realize that there isn't a “perfect birth” but an array of options she can choose from during her labor and delivery period. It's okay for mamas to plan for a scheduled cesarean section (often called C-section) and need some reassurance from their care providers. Deep breathing is an important skill used in birth preparation. It helps to focus on the rhythms of your body, to center yourself and relax. It's a simple trick you can use to overcome stress or anxiety, no matter what's been plaguing you recently. The preparations you have made to extend your pelvic bones by becoming more flexible will help your baby fit through the birth canal, a hip mobility routine is an excellent way to prepare because in addition to putting you in a good position while pushing and reducing pressure on your cervix, it will also improve blood flow and oxygenation to the perineum which encourages optimal healing after delivery. Pelvic floor therapy can help with back pain and it can help set me up for a better chance of not having such severe and not having such big back issues during the first year of postpartum.P.S. Thu, 29 Dec 2022 - 45 - Ep#44: Pregnancy & Birth Made Easy: How the Doula Holistic Approach Supports Healthy Birth Outcomes with Stephanie King
As first time moms we get overwhelmed with what you feel when you give birth, it’s important to remember that you are not alone in this journey. How can you find a professional support emotional, physical and informational before, during and after your childbirth? What can you do to control your thoughts and feelings during labor, and what are the ways to help you reduce anxiety and pain during labor?
You're stronger than you think you are. You can make decisions for your birth with knowledge, education and preparation. And those decisions will come because they're your choice, and not based out of fear. The more prepared you are, the less fearful you'll be, and the better able you'll be to make the right decision for yourself and your baby. It's a common misconception that we can tell how far along a mom is in her labor by measuring dilation. A Doula can help you decrease your risks of other interventions such as Cesarean births and Epidural. The birth of a child is a special time for both parents, and when it comes to the birth process, dads can have a lot of influence over how things go. The birth team is made up of a lot of people, and you can use them all in one way or another. The point is to help the mother know what resources she has at her disposal, how to work with her body when it's time to push (and how not to), and how she likes to be touched. This information is gathered during doula appointments or during childbirth courses.
Stephanie King is a professional doula, childbirth educator, host of the Pregnancy & Birth Made Easy Podcast, and creator of the My Essential Birth course. She is also a mama to three incredible boys with very different birth stories.Stephanie does NOT believe there is any one way that is best to give birth, BUT she does believe that there is a BEST way for YOU to give birth, and she is here to offer support with whatever that looks like for you, every step of the way. She is passionate about supporting moms like you to become confident and empowered so you can have joy when you look back on your birth story.
This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, Dr. Amanda Fisher and Marin from the Empower Your Pelvis team interview our guest, Stephanie King. They will be talking about how the Doula holistic approach supports healthy birth outcomes that includes traditional health care skills like first aid, labor support, and neonatal resuscitation, and also focuses on empowering women to make informed choices about their own birthing experience.

Thu, 22 Dec 2022 - 44 - EP#43: Ditch Your Pain & Feel Confident Again With Your Pelvic Floor Health with Tiffani
Whether you are a man or woman in the prime of your life, whether you have been suffering for years or if you're a relatively new sufferer – pain in the pelvic area can often be confusing, embarrassing and isolating. How will you take care of your pelvic muscles so it won’t significantly affect how you feel through the course of your life?
This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, Dr. Amanda Fisher will be joined again by our guest, Tiffany. They will talk about how Tifanni dealt with her pelvic health issue, and how she will use her story to help more women by connecting with them and talk about the best treatment for a woman's pelvic health while being able to continue with their lives as a mother, wife and woman just like any other women out there.
They will touch on such topics as:
The patient-care that Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy provides to the patients. If you are newly postpartum or in your pregnancy, you have to pay attention to your pain, pressure, leakage and bleeding. You don’t have to become a superwoman after giving birth to your child. You deserve to take care of yourself and not be dealing with pelvic pain on an everyday basis. You deserve to get the treatment that you need because it interferes with your life on a daily basis. If you're not getting the help that you need, then you're not able to be the wife, the daughter, the friend, the mother, the spouse that you could be because you're just constantly miserable or in pain or hurting and not able to do the things you wanna do because you're not feeling good about yourself. You don’t need to feel embarrassed with pelvic floor symptoms, you cannot control those body functions. All you have to do is find help with your Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy. Thu, 15 Dec 2022 - 43 - Ep#42: Using Physical Therapy As Part Of Your Pelvic Floor Dysfunction Treatment with Sydney
Do you suffer from pelvic pain and wonder if it impacts your life? Are you aching to connect with significant others to understand what it's like to hurt down there? How will you get rid of pelvic pain and how conscious you are of your body's feelings, especially during pregnancy and postpartum?
This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, Dr. Amanda Fisher will interview our guest, Sydney. They will talk about the beautiful things in pelvic floor physical therapy before, during, and after your pregnancy journey, how you can recover from your birth delivery session by maintaining your health during pregnancy, feeling better after delivery, and being able to keep up with your baby as they grow.
They will touch on such topics as:
If you are experiencing pain during intercourse, it's important to see a doctor who can help identify the cause of your discomfort. Pelvic floor exercise is one of the best ways to help your pelvic floor issues. It can help you strengthen and tone your muscles, which improves your posture and reduces the strain on your pelvic floor. If your obstetrician is not asking you questions about your pelvic floor, they may be missing the opportunity to provide you with the best care possible. It is important that you take good care of your body during the pregnancy period because it will help you recover faster and get back on your feet as soon as possible. The kegel exercise for pregnancy is a great way to prepare for childbirth and reduce the risk of complications. When you go for walks, it's important to shorten the distance and take breaks so that your pelvic floor can actually stop moving and take a rest. It's so easy to feel like you're the only person who has pelvic pain, and that your experience is just something you have to live with. But it isn't! So many people experience pelvic pain, and they don't have to. It's a problem that can be fixed. It is helpful that your partner is involved in the pelvic therapy session. This can help to make your recovery more effective, as well as more enjoyable. Your partner can support you emotionally and physically. It's important to remember that both partners need to be ready for this type of work together.

Thu, 08 Dec 2022 - 42 - Ep#41: Beyond The Terms: Female Sexual Health & Menopause with Dr.

Thu, 01 Dec 2022 - 41 - Ep#40: Amanda's Birth Story Part 1
Are you a pregnant woman who is expecting a normal delivery? What if something goes wrong during the pregnancy and the baby needs to be delivered via c-section? What should you expect in that situation? What preparations do you need in order to make yourself at ease?
This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, Erica Magruder and Dr. Amanda Fisher will talk about the insights into C-sections, how to plan and prepare throughout the process, and what changes you need to prepare yourself for in order to cope with the post-surgery situations.
We will touch on such topics as:
30% of women end up with c-sections. Give yourself time to process what it would be like to allow yourself to be at ease and less anxious. C-sections are also lifesavers. There are times when a C-section is necessary and unavoidable, and in those cases we need to be prepared for what comes next. Studies show that listening to music can help you deal with the pain of a c-section. Listening to music is also a good way to pass the time, which can help ease your anxiety about undergoing surgery. You will be numb from your waist down to your legs for the next 24 hours. You must have someone supportive by your side in order to help the baby.P.S. Subscribe, rate, and review Here

Tue, 22 Nov 2022 - 40 - Ep#39: How To Strengthen Your Pelvic Floor Muscles And Experience Better Sex
Have you ever wondered why your pelvic floor muscles sometimes don't function the way you want them to? How would you strengthen your pelvic floor muscles—so they can work together as a team, especially during intercourse?
This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, Dr. Amanda Fisher goes solo to talk about the causes and treatments for a numb pelvic floor muscle during intercourse, and how to exercise your pelvic floor muscles and strengthen them so you can live your life unencumbered by pain or discomfort. She will touch on such topics as:
The pelvic floor sometimes does not function the way we want it to. Sometimes it's high and tight, sometimes sensitive, which can result in a variety of issues. The best way to make sure your muscle is ready is to make sure it can contract and relax completely by working on your mobility. There are many muscles that make up your pelvic floor which can make it difficult to heal and it is the pelvic floor PT’s job to tell you what they’re doing and how they can work together better. Start improving the pelvic floor functionality with slow exercises. You can use pelvic wands. Wands can help you maintain your overall joint flexibility, improve your mobility and further stretch the muscles and ligaments after childbirth. Make sure to prepare the tissues prior to intercourse through stretches, so you can make sure it’s pain-free to avoid friction damage which may lead to trauma.P.S. Subscribe, rate, and review Here

The due date of your baby is a long awaited day. But it can be full of uncertainty and questions. What do you need to know about pregnancy? How should you prepare for your baby's birth? Who should you turn to? What do you have to prepare for?
Stephanie King is a professional doula, childbirth educator, host of the Pregnancy & Birth Made Easy Podcast, and creator of the My Essential Birth course. She is a mama to three incredible boys with very different birth stories. She is passionate about supporting moms like you to become confident and empowered so you can have joy when you look back on your birth story.
This week’s Empower Your Pelvis Podcast, Dr. Amanda Fisher and Marin from the Empower Your Pelvis team will interview our guest, Stephanie Cane. They will be talking about Everything you need to know about giving birth and pregnancy, and how to prepare yourself for this transformation in your life with the knowledge that Stephanie had over the years of helping women during birth. They will touch on such topics as:
If you are expecting, learning the basics of birth and pregnancy can help prepare you in a practical sense while adding an extra layer of love and excitement to your journey. Entering into parenthood is like jumping into a pool of unknown with no expectations of what lies ahead. Knowing the basics of health and wellness before, during and after pregnancy is an essential piece to your puzzle. The whole process is amazing but for most it holds a lot of mystery. This is in part due to a lack of education and the belief that birth is medicalized and hospital-assisted and therefore not a natural process. A birth plan is an important part of preparing for the big day. Whether you're planning a home birth or going to the hospital, a birth plan can clarify your wishes and guide the people in your birthing group. The process will be much easier if you have help, especially professional advice from someone who's been through a similar experience before. Shift your mindset on how you take over your birth. It changes your contractions, your pain tolerance, and how you believe in yourself. What are the three exercises that are the best preparation that you can have for your body as you just make your pregnancy and your birth more comfortable and easy.P.S. In this week's episode, I will be joined by Ryann Kipping RD. Ryann has helped hundreds of women escape confusing and outdated nutrition information to find a happy, feel-good pregnancy.
