ON THIS EPISODE OF PI MAGAZINE-THE PODCAST, JIM & NIC CHAT UP GPS TRACKERS W/ SARA CAPELLI OF THE INQUIRY AGENCY, CHARLESTON, SC. THE THREE CHAT CASUALLY ABOUT GPS USE, BEST PRACTICES AND SHARE SOME TIPS & TRICKS ABOUT GPS USE! BE PART OF THIS ROUND TABLE TYPE GPS DISCUSSION!
Sara Capelli graduated from the University of Arizona in Tucson with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology and a Double Minor in Criminal Justice and Psychology. She graduated with the intention of becoming a privatized prison warden and was accepted into the NYC police academy.
Sara took a detour and worked in politics for over 20 years - in the office of two different members of the U.S. House of Congress, for elected statewide and local candidates and as a lobbyist. She honed her investigative skills providing in-depth opposition research on candidates and their political opponents. Her experience of electing District Attorneys and Sherriff’s renewed her drive and determination to disclose the facts. She became extremely adept at exposing criminals masquerading as politicians. And now, instead of electing those drafting laws, she investigates those who might just be breaking laws.
In 2016, she became a licensed private investigator in Richmond, Virginia focused on infidelity, skip tracing for bond recovery and worker’s compensation investigations. Sara moved her three sons to Charleston, South Carolina in 2019. Where upon, she opened Inquiry Agency a female owned investigation agency. Her business is focused on complex cases for family and criminal law attorneys. She excels in reopened and cold cases that are difficult to obtain evidence for. She is known for her intuitive and creative sleuthing to tackle extra demanding challenges. She also freelances on the side for insurance fraud companies specializing in longshoreman worker’s comp claims.

MICHELLE’S PERSONAL MESSAGE:
I am a one woman show. I began learning investigations at the age of 18. I do not know
everything, but I love to research and learn from others and I will always share my own
experiences with new investigators. In 2016, I decided to start my own business. I originally began working in my bedroom using my dresser and a desk. I had one attorney, Angela Lee in Bend, Oregon. She called me and asked to take a case that I had worked on earlier. I was told the client only wanted me to be the investigator. She believed in me and to this day, we still work cases together. Eventually, I grew out of my bedroom and had to get an office. In 2017, I opened an office with the help of my mother, Linda Gates.
I am so grateful for all the opportunities I have been presented with. I have the privilege to work side by side today with some of my most admired attorneys. When I am asked if I enjoy my job; I tell them, this is not a job, it’s my passion and I love it! Every day, I strive to do better than the day before and build my business. I am a one woman show with a passion to help others.

The big difference between my specialized training and other social media investigation programs, is that I shift the focus from collecting social media and opens source evidence to communicating the evidence to third parties without liability. Although investigators can strike gold with social media evidence in establishing relationships or verifying alibis and timelines, there are many hidden trapdoors. I give investigators new skills to navigate these trapdoors by identifying and eliminating or disclaiming “high risk” evidence prior to communicating investigative summary reports to clients, law enforcement, news media, and other third parties.

Mon, 30 Mar 2020 - 2 - Show 1 - Susan Savino
In this episode of PI MAGAZINE- THE PODCAST, co-hosts and publishers Jim Nanos and Nicole Cusanelli speak with Investigator Susan Savino.
Susan Savino graduated high school in 1993 and headed off to college to pursue Music Education. As a classically trained singer, she both performed and taught music for several years. After 16-years of marriage, Susan found herself starting over and quickly learned that people are not always as they appear. With a passion for learning, she embraced a fresh start and decided to return to the classroom, this time for private investigation.
Developing skills for uncovering facts, Susan worked as a private detective three and a half years as an independent contractor under another agency before agreeing, at the urging of her instructor, to open her own agency.
In 2016, Savy Investigations & Security, Inc. opened and has maintained more than a dozen private detectives. Susan has remained determined to have a teachable spirit and to educate both herself and the private detectives and security officers that work under the license of Savy Investigations & Security, Inc.
Susan is featured in the march / April issue of PI MAGAZINE’s PI agency profile column and is one of only six investigators a year to be honored and featured in PI MAGAZINE
