Now that PS3 owners have had the pleasure of trying out the Assassin's Creed Brotherhood multiplayer demo, Ubisoft has taking to showing off the different modes more openly, and discussing their plans going forward. The main challenge in multiplayer was to find game modes that actually work with the franchise. To keep in the spirit of the franchise, the players are actually Templars training in the Animus, running through various simulations, which represent the different multiplayer modes.

Hands on time with LG's two Windows Phone 7 devices headed towards the Canadian market, the LG Optimus 7 slate style phone on Telus, and the LG Optimus Quantum QWERTY slider on Bell. Both phones sport 16GB of RAM and 1GHz processors, with the real differentiator between the two being the choice of keyboard or not. The Optimus 7 has a 3.8" screen, while the keyboard packing Optimus Quantum has a slightly smaller 3.5" screen. We also look at the LG custom augmented reality app Scan Search, and their Panoramic Shot photostitching camera app.

Interview with The Start Show co-organizer Benjamin Rivers. When we first interviewed him, it was at Fan Expo as a comics creator. We actually had no idea about his involvement with Hand Eye at the time. Well, we know better now.

Showcase was on hand at Fan Expo promoting their new TV Series Lost Girl, and we managed to get some time to talk with stars Anna Silk (Bo) and Kris Holden-Ried (Dyson). The show, about a succubus who's only recently become aware of the larger supernatural fae world of which she's a part, airs Sundays at 9pm.

After wrapping up shooting of Scott Pilgrim vs. The World, Edgar Wright’s mini film fest had one last night at the Bloor Cinema, with Pilgrim director of photography Bill Pope as the guest of honour. On tap were two movies that Pope worked on, Army of Darkness and Team America: World Police, and between the screenings Ryan got a chance to talk with Pope on a wide range of subjects.

We were at the 2009 Toronto Comic Arts Festival, held on May 9th and 10th. We got the chance to talk to a lot of the artists at the show. We attended the 2009 Toronto Comic Arts Festival, held on May 9th and 10th, and we got a chance to talk to a lot of the artists at the show - we will be posting more videos over the next few weeks. This episode is with the members of Sketchkrieg!, a band of comic artists based in Toronto, and Tom Scioli (a huge Jack Kirby fan), co-creator of the Image comic series Godland with writer Joe Casey, artist of the Freedom Force comic (based on the classic PC game by the creators of Bioshock), and his own The Myth of 8-Opus.

Outside the entrance to Fan Expo there was a table, a couple of guys in waistcoats and their crew. They were The Conventioneers, a show found on bitetv.ca that covers conventions of all sorts. A while ago, the irreverent commentators were banned from getting inside. Alex and Ryan ask them why. **Please excuse the audio issues. Our mic was acting up **

As Ryan mentioned before, sat down with Kevin Eastman, co-creator of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles during Fan Expo. They about leaving Mirage, starting Tundra Press, running Heavy Metal magazine and his disappointment with the second Heavy Metal movie after losing creative control. He also talks about the third movie, which will be an anthology like the first, with animation done by blur.com. David Fincher is executive producer and plans on directing a segment. During the interview, Eastman also mentions directors Zack Snyder, Guillermo Del Toro and Gore Verbinski all want to direct segments as well.

Alex has a conversation with John Meadows, instructor at Vancouver Film School and writer for Lost: The Video Game, for Ubisoft amongst other things. They touch on challenges writing for the video game medium vs. film, working with an existing property, and the different storytelling sensibilities of North America vs. Europe and Japan, and Ubisoft as a French company producing games in Montreal.

Alex talks with Aaron Douglas, who plays Chief on Battlestar Galactica. It starts off as a mutual Ricky Gervais / Stephen Merchant / Karl Pilkington fan chat (Aaron want to work with them, hint hint), then turns to discussions about the announced BSG TV movie being directed by Edward James Olmos and his roles in The Bridge and Blood: A Butcher's Tale and what it's like to work on a fully green screened set.

Ryan talks to Rick Green about the hilarious history of Hoverboy, and Doug pops in to find the truth behind the fate of the Prisoners Of Gravity chair. - The chair ended up in our garage after the series ended and I just knew that someday it would be worth something as a collector’s item, but, you know, raccoons pooed all over it and it went in the garbage eventually…

Ryan and Dave spent part of the day Saturday hanging in the Media Room area, and managed to have some brief chats with Wes Craven, Kate Mulgrew, Buzz Aldrin and Henry Winkler, in no particular order. Buzz describing getting the shot of the earth rise is a particular highlight, in the science fact department.NOTE: The end credit in this video is wrong. It’s Ryan on the mic, and Dave (mostly) shooting. He vanished before the Kate Mulgrew interview, so Kate’s assistant Holly deserves a thumbs up for taking over camera duties.

Dave sits down with legendary director Tobe Hooper, who clears up his inspiration for Texas Chainsaw Massacre (hint: it’s NOT Ed Gein). “It occured to me if I start one up, you know that the people would part like the waters… that’s the true story.” Put that line in the context of Christmas shopping, and you’ll get the point. Beyond that, he also discusses his influences, why torture porn has seen such a rise in popularity, and has a tip for budding film makers.

Alex sat down with Brian Bolland, legendary comic artist behind Batman: The Killing Joke, Judge Dredd and Animal Man. They discuss the recolouring of The Killing Joke for the recently released ‘Remastered‘ edition, Mr. Bolland’s process, including drawing on a Wacom tablet, as well as the British comics invasion and more. We also managed to score a signed copy of the ‘Remastered’ Killing Joke that we will be giving away in a contest. Check back for more details soon.

Alex talks with Rocco and Shawn from Mega64.com, in what is the funniest interview of the show (so far?). Everything from outside projects and bodily mutilation via Blendtec blenders is discussed. NSFW, but only if you work someplace where they take NSFW seriously.

This past Wednesday, we at rgbFilter went to the Toronto launch party for the new comic The Apocalipstix by writer Ray Fawkes and artist Cameron Stewart. Ray and Cameron were kind enough to give Alex some time to talk to them about the comic, and other projects they have coming up. It was a great night, presented by Chris from The Beguiling. After an intro and book signing session, the party continued with a couple of great bands, Dame and Terror Lake. There will definitely be more coverage of the night in the next regular episode of rgb Filter.
