It seems human nature is to revel in the misfortune of others. What Jesus has taught us, and what Paul reinforces, is that we should stand with those who are going through difficulty and support them.

Jesus stepped between us and sin, giving us the ability to not only be forgiven, but to know that sin doesn't stay as a weight on us moving forward.

We see through Peter how easy it is to lose our temper, but we all have moments where we also lose our cool. Paul shows us in 1 Corinthians that being slow to anger is to be like Jesus.

We see the character of selflessness in the person of Jesus Christ.

We get to hear RCC's team reflect on how their trip to Enlace's ministry in El Salvator had an effect on their life and relationship with Jesus.

Love embodied by Christians looks like us living out Jesus' calling for our lives. That means we function in a special way within the body, and that function shows the world just how Jesus loved us first.

In a world saturated with social media, we are being called by Paul to practice humility. How does that play out in our lives today?

One of the ways we are taught to be more like Jesus is to not envy those around us and the things that have such as success and fame. We see this play out in the relationship between King Saul and a young man in his service, David.

What can we do to love people in our community better? What are the ways we can show love today? Patience is a signal to others of our abiding love.

We often hear 1 Corinthians 13 read at weddings, but it was Paul's way of reminding the church at Corinth what it meant to be a Jesus follower and love those around you.

Jesus has given us the directive not only to meet together, but also as that group to go out into the community to serve them better.

As the body of Christ, we are reminded what it means to Journey WITH the Church, why who you are with is so important, and are challenged by who we can bring along with us on this Journey.

We want to remember who we are following, why we are following Him, and what happens when we aren't following him.

As a new year begins, we get back to the basics of our vision with a challenge to do life better.

We have an ideal Christmas in mind. What are the wishes God has for us this season?

From presents to meal preparation, we want to get everything in advance. How can we best prepare for Jesus' advent this year?

We often think Heroes are only those with the right qualifications, but Jesus taught us that seeing a spark in someone is enough to let them know that he saw potential.

Jesus had all authority in heaven and on earth, yet he chose to allow others to lead and grow the Kingdom instead of using a show of force.

Israel had lost hope in their Messiah, but God spoke through Malachi to let them know that love would be reaching down to be with them.

As we look back at 2020, we reflect on the hope we have been given through Jesus and how Mary, mother of Jesus, pondered the amazing gift of carrying the Messiah.

When all seemed lost to the Israelites, God sent a message through Jeremiah that hope had not died.

Peace is something that we all long for, but with the world spinning around us, quite hard to find. God sent a message of peace to his prophet, Micah.

So what would you do if you had the "more" that you desired in your life? Would having more make you happier?

The challenge of having more is knowing how to manage what you have.

How much is enough? At what point do we realize that more is just...more?

What did the church at Laodicea need most? A heart willing to listen and be taught truth.

When we don't have all of the answers and things don't go the way we anticipate, we are often being deepened in trusting God.

It's easy to live a life that lacks...life. But Jesus calls us to be vibrant by remembering the hope we have through his gift of life through the cross.

It's easy to go on about life and begin to let go of our strong desire for God. Jesus told the church at Smyrna, "Be Faithful" and continue to hold on to the promises of God.

Jesus used the Last Supper to communicate truth about love to his closest followers

Life can be challenging and confusing, but it's times like shared meals that remind us that something greater is yet to come.

Communion, the Lord's Supper, and Eucharist are just a few of the names for what is celebrated weekly at our church. This meal goes back thousands of years to the Passover.

What happens when your invitation is rejected? Be persistent and continue to make invitation even through invitations that have been turned down.

Jesus knew that meals were a great time for people to learn about the kingdom. He was able to interact with a woman deeply desiring grace at just such a meal.

Being accepted by God isn't about the number of good things you do, but by the grace offered to you by trusting in Jesus.

Healing is more difficult than just moving past an event. Often we skip the part of lamenting, or giving time for our souls to deal with the difficulty of what we have experienced.

This season has been difficult individually and as a society. We have a conversation with Beth about how we can seek wholeness through difficulty.

During this season, we have felt lots of relational friction. This week, we discuss what it looks like to realize when we have hurt someone else and make it right by asking for forgiveness.

Sometimes we need a moment to step back and reset our being; to investigate how we're living, and decide if that's how we want to be living.

What does it look like for God to be our shepherd and lead our lives? The Psalmist describes what a life under God looks.

One of our deepest needs is the the meaning of life. Are we living a worthy life? Does what we do mean?

Jesus often taught using parables. They were stories that conveyed a deeper meaning, like the deep love God has for people.

There are a lot of things we can have faith in, but a lot of the most common for us have potential to fail. Jesus is the best place to place our trust.

What is the best way to hear from God? Spending time in the Bible is the best way to know how God is leading you.

What is the Bible? How do we know it's not just made up? And what did Jesus have to say about the Bible?

Even when we face difficulty, we can have hope because Jesus has made a way for us to find it through his work on the cross for us.

The Church is not a building, in fact, early Christians had no facilities to worship, so they would meet in homes to share their faith.

How do you worship when worshipping is illegal? How do you find hope when life gets difficult? Peter says we can hope even in the face of adversity.

The Journey carries us away from the building where we meet weekly. That can be partnering with local organizations, planting churches regionally, or even traveling to distant parts of the world

With the pace of life, we can sometimes live like a jar of river water all shaken up. The sediment of our activities cloud our lives, and we need sometimes need to pause long enough to have clarity.

Mission gives direction, alignment, and a scoreboard to check your progress on the Journey

We all have changes in life, and asking God to help us move past those changes can be the best thing for us.

Sometimes there are parts of our lives we need to give to God so that we can become closer to Him.

Sometimes beginning a prayer life can seem daunting, but Jesus gave us a structure to prayer and encourages us to step into a relationship with him through prayer.

We live in a very busy world, and being still with Jesus can be difficult. But He tells us that choosing to be close to him is the best thing we can do with our lives

When no hope could be found on our own, Jesus fulfilled the words of prophesy and came to walk among us and give us all Hope.

God showed His hope was for everyone by including members of the first century society that would have been considered outcasts from Jewish culture
