Ever battled with body image issues? Wondered how to support your children's body image in a world teeming with distorted and unrealistic standards? That's exactly what we discuss with our guest Marci, a seasoned Resiliency Coach and Body Image Advocate. When my good friend Heather joined me on the Selfish Confidence podcast, we never expected to uncover such powerful insights on personal growth and development. I still can't believe the year I just had. Upon reflection, it's been one of the most transformative years of my life.

1. Your community is everything!
2. Stop putting yourself down.
3. You are worthy of whatever you want.
4. It's going to be hard. Do it anyway.
5. It's ok to change your mind.

Not every year is going to be filled with great lessons but this year I really put myself out there in a variety of ways and learned what works for me and my business. It doesn't matter what the world thinks - what matters is what YOU think and how YOU live your life.

Keep going! Find your people and be open with them. This is your year. YOU GOT THIS!

Serena Haines is a Certified Sex Coach and Somatic Sex Educator. She has been helping people with Sex and Intimacy Coaching through BodyWork, personal coaching sessions, workshops, and live appearances for close to a decade.  

She has a background in Psychology at Memorial University of Newfoundland and is a former Paramedic in Nova Scotia. Serena has also trained through the Institute for Somatic Sex Education in British Columbia as a Somatic Sex Educator, has studied Clinical Sexology through SexCoachU and has a Sex Coaching Certification (CSC, SXI) through the Sexology Institute of San Antonio. Serena is also certified through The Gottman Institute Level 1&2 for relational coaching. 

She's on a mission is to bring awareness to the importance of sexual health as much as we have an awareness of mental and physical health.

I have always been the type of person to doubt my style. I thought I lacked the skills to properly dress myself but it turns out I was just learning to find myself and what I felt great wearing.

Today we're chatting with Amanda Hanson from Simply Stylish to find confidence in who you are and how you dress. She uses her passion and experience to teach you how to radically love and accept who you are, through discovering and expressing your personal style. Today, she's helping us feel more confident in our own skin, our personal closets and in how we want to show up in the world.

Amanda (she/her) is a mom of two that always has a “healthy” stock of bacon and coffee in her kitchen. She might also have a slight addiction to red lipstick. 
She uses her degree in Psychology, Masters in Education and certification in Feminist Coaching Theory to break down patriarchal norms in order to have awareness of barriers, such as misogyny, the patriarchy, ableism, diet culture & anti-fat bias, in order to embrace & express yourself confidently in your clothes.

Over the past 5 years as a Style Coach, Amanda has helped 100’s of people build an intentional and sustainable wardrobe that supports how they want to feel, that fits the current body they are in and that supports all aspects of their life.
