Happy birthday Tyler. A little over a year ago you started this trainwreck of a podcast and to show our appreciation, here's an episode we recorded entirely on our own, without you holding us back. I'm pretty sure it's the best one we've done yet. (Note: This was recorded, like, 2 months ago, and I only just now got around to editing it because I'm the worst. Never leave us alone again, Tyler, this all falls apart without you!)

Tyler's moving and for his hubris has been deprived of Internet, so Jules and Joel try to keep the podcast going without him. And boy oh boy does it keep going. And going. We briefly discuss the synopsis for the next episode of Tri before digging into another episode in which our heroes do nothing but travel for 20 minutes, but somehow it's still a refreshing change of pace from usual. The lack of a desert might have something to do with it. Oh, also Joel shares a harrowing tale of corruption, betrayal, and hard life lessons in rural America. It's guaranteed to set more kids straight than the cumulative efforts of D.A.R.E.

So, it turns out trying to sync up two Australians with sporadic work schedules and an 8-to-5-er in the States is really tough sometimes, so we haven't recorded in a while. That sucks, so as an apology for the missed eps, I threw together a little... bonus... episode, made entirely of clips from our backup recording that were never meant for the podcast itself. If you've ever wondered what happens in the three-and-a-half hours that we DON'T record for your enjoyment, now's your chance to find out. (Also see if you can guess which episode this is from.
