Welcome to Tiger Therapy, where we delve into the mental and emotional side of what it takes to be successful, and specifically how to identify and get over the self doubt and limiting beliefs that hold so many people back and stop them realizing their full potential.

Each week, join Pippa Woodhead, as she speaks to a new guest who has achieved success on their own terms - perhaps they’ve gone against the grain in some way, shattered a ceiling, done something unexpected, or they’ve broken generational patterns. She’ll be asking them to share their experiences with limiting beliefs and times where self doubt got in the way.

  • 25 - How to Have Confidence in Any Situation - Sara Jane Ho

If you knew what to say and how to act in every scenario - how would this make a difference to how confident you feel?

If you knew you could always make a good first impression, would you doubt yourself less, would you feel braver to put yourself out there and try new things?

Today I’m speaking to someone who always knows!

Sara Jane Ho is the most famous etiquette expert I can think of. She’s the founder of China’s first finishing school - Institute Sarita - which was recognised as one of the "World's Most Innovative 50 Companies" by Fast Company Magazine.

She’s the host of the Netflix show Mind Your Manners - which was nominated for an Emmy. Her new book Mind You Manners: How to Be Your Best Self in Any Situation is out now.

She says “People think of etiquette as stuffy old manners, but actually, etiquette changes with the times. I really see etiquette as the upmost form of wellness, it’s a way to promote healthy individual growth.”

Thank you Sara Jane for sharing your advice about how etiquette can be used to feel confident in oneself, as well as making those around us feel comfortable.

  • 24 - Adapting to Change, the Antidote to Fear & the Real Blockbuster Story - James W. Keyes

“It's how we respond to change that separates winners from losers.”

Jim Keyes’ ability to adapt to change is what’s seen him through not one, but two Fortune 500 CEO tenures - the first at 7-Eleven, where he successfully restructured and led the company to be the behemoth it is today. The second, at Blockbuster, which… well…. we all think we know what happened here, right?

He’s now authored a book "Education is Freedom" where he delves into the power of building knowledge and lifelong learning, and how this serves us as individuals but also a society as a whole.

In this episode of Tiger Therapy, we cover:

Why the Blockbuster story we think we know isn’t what really happened What growing up in poverty taught James about the power of mindset The advice James would have given himself as a 20 year old Jim’s trick for avoiding self-doubt and imposter syndrome How knowledge is everything - and especially crucial in times of change, crisis and fear

Thank you SO MUCH Jim for coming on Tiger Therapy, I loved our conversation and resonate so much with what you say!

For many of us, annual leave is the highlight of our year - the chance to get away from our normal lives and escape to somewhere new and exciting.

Ash Bhardwaj has managed to make getting away his career. • 21 - Self-Belief, Leadership and Life After ‘CEO’ - Rob Pierre

Until recently, Rob Pierre was CEO of Jellyfish, the major digital media agency he co-founded over 18 years ago - a role which made him one of the UK’s most successful media leaders. In 2021 he was voted Media Week's Media Leader of the Year to recognise his achievements.

Now, having stepped down, we reflect on life without the CEO title, leadership, confidence and his tool for avoiding self doubt.

If you’ve listened to Tiger Therapy before, you’ll know that at the end of each episode, I ask guests to nominate something they think is brilliant to come on the podcast. Joanna Flint, Chief Commercial Officer at Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group, suggested Rob. Here’s what she said about him:

“What I love about Rob is his storytelling, his authenticity and his belief. He’s a really interesting individual with a global perspective to talk about how to build an incredibly successful business through grit, determination, and being a really good man.”

    We couldn’t agree more.

Thanks so much Rob for coming on Tiger Therapy - I loved our conversation!
