  • 497 - A Deeply Vulnerable Convo With My Healers & Mentors | Grant & Celeste

In today's episode, Emily sits down for an intimate conversation with Celeste Bonin and Grant Dziak, a remarkable power couple whose guidance and support have been pivotal in her journey of self-discovery and healing. Acting as mentors and healers, Celeste and Grant have helped Emily to navigate the depths of her inner struggles and the dark shadows of her inner life, bringing out a radiant light that Emily now shares with the world. Though the process was challenging, it was one of Emily's most transformative experiences, shaping her into a stronger, more authentic version of herself.

In this special episode, Grant and Celeste explore Emily’s journey of vulnerability and her healing process. Through Emily’s story, it is clear that the help we need is often closer than we realize, but admitting our vulnerability and seeking assistance requires a bold step. This willingness opens doors to healing and growth. The conversation also sheds light on the challenge of healing from pain or trauma due to the failure to detach from the sources of suffering. Grant and Celeste highlight Emily’s remarkable ability to detach, both physically and emotionally, from the triggers that caused her pain, facilitating her rapid healing. Their insights emphasize the importance of willingly breaking all ties with past hurts.

Furthermore, they stress that transformative journeys require active participation. Hiring a coach should not be a substitute for personal commitment. As Emily showed, quicker transformation rests on one's willingness to engage fully in the process of change.

    Today’s Key Points:

    1. Why you will need help at some point in life

    2. The power of being vulnerable to get the help you need

    3. Why the struggle of detachment keeps people caged in their traumas

    4. Qualities of a good coaching experience for your needs

    5. How to overcome imposter syndrome

    6. Finding inner peace and happiness regardless of the external circumstances

    7. Feel good affirmations

    8. The power of devotion and consistency to success

    9. Moving from self-sabotage to self-mastery

  • 496 - The Discipline of Growth Through Self-Improvement Daily with Brian Ford EP 371

In today’s episode, Emily interviews Brian Ford, the host of Self Improvement Daily, a personal development show where you get personal development in three minutes or less every day. He has over 20 million downloads and over five years of consistency on the show. In the episode, they discuss Brian’s journey of podcasting success and what he attributes that to. They also discuss his passion for helping individuals become better versions of themselves through habit formation, behavior change, and healthy emotional navigating. Brian believes that many people try hard to change their lives by using their willpower, but they often don't see much improvement because they may lack the much-needed self-discipline. He defines discipline as the consistent habit of making the right choices and taking the right actions despite circumstances. It starts with being aware of what needs to change, taking action to make those changes happen, and finally, being responsible for keeping up with them. One helpful idea that Brian shares is a 21-day challenge where you track your behavior to make changes easier.
